Love all things hummus. I still use tahini, but will try this version as well. For a nice salad dressing, combine 1 cup hummus with 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1/4 cup water, and 1 tablespoon dried dill. Delish!
Hi! Try chickpeas. dates and cocoa powder or chickpeas, dates, cinnamon and a bit of apple sauce for a sweet spread. Breakfast hummus! Thank you for your videos. Keep them coming! Regards to you both, Lena.
Thank you Jane & Ann for sharing your variety of hummus recipes with us. I must try using mustard and green onions! We love the addition of cilantro and lime to a hummus.
Yum! Nothing wrong with Engine2 hummus, but I gotta say hummus is so easy to make you shouldn't ever need to buy it. If you've got an instant pot you can make a huge, salt free load of garbanzo beans and freeze them in jars. Cheaper than cans and so much more delicious! Soak for 24 hours in cold water before cooking!
Love the two of you together. You're great. Love the laughter at the farty mustard. Reminded me of me and my mom. If there was one person who could make me laugh until I cried, it was my mom.
I would have never thought to put mustard in hummus. Hummus and mustard are two of my favorite things, I can't wait to try them together. Genius! Thanks for the idea.
I like adding a roasted sweet potato to my hummus. also lately I've been preferring northern white beans to actual garbanzo beans. gets creamier in the food processor. Great vid!
Some smoked paprika is a good hummus addition. I make my own hummus to avoid the oils and other additives in store-bought hummus. I do use tahini; it's just ground sesame seeds and a good source of calcium.
Dont you use oil in making tahini and that is why Jane does not use tahini in their hummus? If you dont use oil what do you use if you make your own tanini?
You can't have too much hummus! :D I have to say, this channel makes my day every day...and a big part of that is the positive and respectful comments! I LOVE the lack of negativity!
Have to say veganism is where it is at for health. I do not see why the Alzheimer's Association isn't saying that veganism is such a preventative for dementia. My dad died with Alzheimer's and his father did also. They were farmers. Need I say that my dad did not give up meat or dairy. I gave that up over ten years ago. Been full-on vegan for going on 3 years. Made such a positive impact on my health and my husband's. And no depression. I've suffered from depression for much of my life. It is like having joy... who knew! Love it and it is indeed outrageously fun to cook.
Yes it’s rather unfortunate that the association just sent out an email saying there is a pharmaceutical company who is releasing a drug for Alzheimer’s, but with that drug, there still will be side effects. Eating plant based can help with so many dis-eases, but Big Pharma has such a hold on the doctors and politicians.
@@Bubblegumswitch Yes and apparently some of the scientists involved with this new drug quit because they said-- not only does it have side effects --but it doesn't work. The sad thing and also dangerous thing is is that science has become like politics which means that when a person disagrees and they have a sense of the North⭐ Star shall we say, guiding their morality, they simply quit which leaves the public at an even greater loss because the few confrontational Minds who have a sense of right and wrong r now gone from the public stage
This comment is 3 years old, your channel has really grown! The world is a better place with people like You, Jane, and Ann helping the rest of us to make delicious meals that wow me every time.
thank you so much ive been a vegetarian for the past year and now a vegan for the past two months. I am not a great cook or even a cook at all and get stressed how to cook. this is so amazingly helpful! thank you so much!
I have been making my own hummus for some years now since I went wholly plant based 6 years ago. Had never even thought of shaking it up with different flavours! Thank you girls for such fabulous ideas and I cannot wait to try them out :)
Ooo that oniony hummus would make a delicious sandwich or good mixed into a pasta salad. You both look pretty in pink, and I love Mama Anne's necklace!!!
That carmelized onion version sounds delish. I like to blend in one of these: pitted kalamata olives, pickled cherry peppers with a little bit of their liquid or roasted red peppers. All very colorful and tasty with veggies or on bread.
These videos are awesome and so helpful. Sometimes I get too hung up on a recipe. It's nice to see the ladies making something and show that the measurements don't need to be absolutely perfect. Or to get little tips on how to cook something. Keep it up please!
Love you both, love the mother daughter moments, love how you are showing us simple delish food. Wish you were in Canada and close enough to take in conferences and learn from
I like red bell pepper, garlic, lemon, cumin, onion, and Indian spices...I blend mine in the Vitamix to make it super smooth. Looking forward to making both of yours! Never thought of using mustard before! I wonder if a horseradish mustard would taste great...worth a try :)
Yeah! Horseradish would be a great addition. I use horseradish to make a homemade cough remedy and decongestant. Makes you feel like a fire-breathing dragon. You might cry over it.
My favorite hummus mix is: roasted red pepper, LOTS of garlic, nutritional yeast, either yellow mustard or Dijon, depending on my mood. Then I mix it up and add some of the aqua faba or the water that the roasted red peppers come in. Perfect anytime and I LOVE to use it as a spread substitute.
thanks you guys are amazing i became a vegetarian/vegan last summer when i picked up dr esselstyns book how to prevent and reverse heart disease because i was overweight high cholestrol and blood pressure heading down a slippery 1st world slope 3 months later with excercise everything is good looking forward to the humus
I love this recipe. I peel my whole lemon, leaving the pith on and throw it in the food processor. Thank you, for your instructions! I, love all of your videos.
Yay, another video :) I get the no salt organic stone ground mustard from Westbrae and store it upside down in the refrigerator door, but I still get the lol..farty...sounds toward the end too. Looking forward to next week's recipe. Love you guys!!
These are delicious! I am a teacher on summer break and I got your book and it’s been so fun having the time to try these recipes. What I love about your recipes is that the ingredients are already in my kitchen and your book is so easy to follow!
I add nooch, cumin and smoked paprika for extra flavour, and I like to eat it along side salsa as a dipping sauce for homemade no-oil oven baked fries. Also very tasty with a little extra lemon as a dressing to rub into kale for kale salad! Yum!
Yes! Hummus with breakfast! I do one slice Dave’s bread toasted with a layer of hummus, half an avocado mashed, topped with sliced tomatoes, chili lime seasoning and Tabasco. It’s so heavenly! YUM. Open faced.
Love this! I am also an acid queen when it comes to hummus. I like the zest of a whole lemon and its juice (sometimes even more!), garlic, cumin, and a pinch of cayenne pepper and maybe smoked paprika too.
I like to make baked plantain chips to dip in the hummus! Or oil-free sweet potato fries! And of course you can never go wrong with sourdough bread and sliced tomato!
I always put Cumin in the Hummus. I tasted Hummus made by a Syrian woman and she also used a little lemon, (Tahini of cause) Cumin and a few leafs of peppermint.
love, love love what you are doing. it isn't hummus, but i use garbanzo bean flour with a variety of finely diced fresh veggies for a vegan omelet or pancake some mornings. Thank you for all of your help to encourage us to be healthier.
To 4 cans of chick peas, I add about 1/2 cup Gulden's mustard and 1 cup of water and blend. Yum. I even took it to my card club and they loved to dip stuff in it and eat it. Yum
I made the hummus yesterday and used it on the cucumber sandwich recipe then made the dressing from the hummus for dinner on a salad. Excellent! So glad I bought your cookbook.
Finally I found a recipe that doesn’t use tahini! Thank you so much. I use hummus on toast instead of vegan butter or vegan mayo. I sometimes use hummus as a salad dressing with extra lemon. The green onion hummus sounds great too.
hello ladies! fantastic recipe! I added a splash of pomegranate vinegar-- divine! thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes with us....your family is saving lives.
Love all things hummus. I still use tahini, but will try this version as well. For a nice salad dressing, combine 1 cup hummus with 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1/4 cup water, and 1 tablespoon dried dill. Delish!
The dynamic between mother and daughter here is wonderful!! Hummus’s look good.
Hi! Try chickpeas. dates and cocoa powder or chickpeas, dates, cinnamon and a bit of apple sauce for a sweet spread. Breakfast hummus! Thank you for your videos. Keep them coming! Regards to you both, Lena.
That sounds awesome!!!
I’m going to try that!
What a fantastic idea!
That sounds good Lena!!!
Lena Agogiati haha yes girl! I didn’t even see your comment, but great minds think alike
Thank you Jane & Ann for sharing your variety of hummus recipes with us. I must try using mustard and green onions! We love the addition of cilantro and lime to a hummus.
Love your sense of humour. I have made both of these.
I am in the UK and have ordered your book. Thank you for sharing.

I have hummus for breakfast! Just put some on toast with some sliced tomatoes and green onion! Yummy savory breakfast!
I would have never thought to put mustard in hummus. Hummus and mustard are two of my favorite things, I can't wait to try them together. Genius! Thanks for the idea.
Can’t get enough of these ladies..🤗🌱💚 I’ve learned so much in my journey to spice up meals with little to no oil and dressings..😃
Lo♡e you two. Thank you for your kindness in creating these videos to improve our lives. You have helped my entire family to feel so much better 💗

@@southernliturgicalsllc4975 No tahini is just ground sesame seeds. It's a seed so it has its own oil just like peanuts and almonds for nut butters.
Love your little starter piece, running with the fork. You two are so cute! So real.
The "drama of the big grinder".......LOVE THAT! Between that and the "farty" sounds, I laughed so hard! Thanks for such entertaining videos!
I like the drama of the big grinder as well.
about died laughing! 'farty' sounds! Jane turned as red as her top!! LOL
You can't have too much hummus! :D

Loved this video! We make ours with lots of garlic, either raw in the food processor or roasted in the oven before adding to the hummus.
We’ve been having a ball trying out all the hummus recipes in your Warrior cookbook. Awesomeness ❤
I love putting some roasted sweet potato in my hummus!
Sounds like a brilliant, yummy idea!
That sounds delicious!
Not a big lemon juice fan, but instead added a bit more garlic and 1-1\2 tbls of horseradish...does the trick for our household!
we want more videos! Would love two videos a week, actually we want a show.
OMG I love you two ladies, you all are so funny, you make wanting to eat healthy easy!!!!!
