I'm a Brit living in Johor. JDT have an amazing set-up. In the time I have lived here they have gone from a few thousand fans and a fairly average stadium to the cool new stadium and thousands more fans. It's a great place to watch a game, but JDT really need some competition, it's ridiculous how far ahead of every other team.

Basically JDt's Sultan Ibrahim Stadium is the best stadium in the country because it is the only stadium that has spectators seat nearest to the football pitch simiarly like how football stadiums are in Europe. And yeah pity that they don't do stadium tours in the stadium. They should do one so that fans can see the stadium up close outside of matchdays.
Amazing! You should have watch their final recently. I’m a Singaporean and has frequently travelled to JB just to watch JDT game since last year and it was totally worth it. This is great to see that Malaysia is advancing and freeing so much. Asian cup 2024 will hopefully inspire a new generation of kids who will want to play football, and maybe can lead Malaysia to the World Cup!
Johor adopted a modern form of football that should've been done by the rest of the Super League teams a decade ago. JDT is good, but the rest are still lagging far behind, playing the kind of football no different from 20 years ago. There are only a few teams that can put up a fight against Johor, but even then Johor still stand tall at the final minute of the matches. Soon they'll be going against KL City for the FA trophy, a match arguably all Malaysians know the end result lol

As an avid watcher of Malaysian footballing scene myself, the main and foremost reason for the success of JDT as a team is funding. The modern local football scene can be categorised as pre-JDT and post-JDT for me. HRH Tunku Ismail could be said to single handedly reshaped the football scene of Malaysia when he introduced a more European styled of footballing management and are paying the top local footballers a never before seen kind of money in any stage of professional football in Malaysia, apart for imports. This has spurred the local football scene in to kick up a few notches, especially from rival clubs/states, to at least pay their players on time and higher wages. There are actually quite a number of talented footballers in school and college level in Malaysia that decided against playing as a professional just because of the salary. Any sporting career is a short-lived one, especially so when you're getting paid just a tiny amount of money. Hence, most people that I know chose to just pursue another career and treat football just as a side hobby, which is actually a shame, considering the talent and discipline that they had.
The JDT Team is also known as The Southern Tigers (Harimau Selatan). The Prince is also known as The TMJ (Tengku Mahkota Johor) or Crown Prince of Johor. He is also a former President Of Football Association Malaysia (FAM). They also have former National players from Singapore (current situation unknown). This team is the official State Team of Johor State. The TMJ is highly respected by political leaders from Singapore and is also a regular visitor there.
looks mental that they've won 9 league titles in a row but they are in dire need of serious competition locally. As impressive as it sounds, the other teams in the Malaysia Super Leagues are far left behind in terms of facilities and quality, JDT wouldn't be able to improve and progress far in the Asian Champions League with the kind of competition they get week in week out.
Sounds like Scotland tbh...but in Malaysia the gap is of everest proportions. There are no hibs, Aberdeens or Dundee uniteds , or even St jonstones, motherwell etc. They are literally the only well supported, financed team in Malaysia. A true 1 team league!
Actually there's a tour, where you ride a Hummer car and it goes around and inside the stadium. but it have a specific days for it if I'm not mistaken.

From Johor with Love ❤️💙
When I was kid, Johor is the weakest team ever exist in Malaysian football. Now they are the most powerful team in Malaysia and one of the most powerful team in southeast Asia... 💀
Big Club from each Asean Country :
Vietnam : Viettel , hanoi fc , Becamex binh duong , Haiphong .
Thailand : BG pathum , buriram , muangthong , port fc .
Malaysia : JDT , KL City.
Indonesia : Bali United , Persija , PSM
Camnodia : Visakha , PKR Svay rieng .
Lao : Young Elephant , EZRA
Singapore : Lion city sailor .
Philipines : Ceres negros , Kaya fc , Global Cebu .
Myanmar (not sure safe to visit or not currently) : Shan United , Yangoon united , ayeyawady .
Not sure about Brunei & Timor leste , last time i am in asean before covid they don't have league with tv coverage .
Thanks for this!!!
@@FootyAdventures you are welcome pal , Thank yer too for promotion Asean football . I wish More Partnership between Asean And Scotland in the future 👌.
Even tho KL city reach afc cup finals and beat jdt in malaysia cup finals, still theyre not a big club, theyre mid table team every season and they doesnt have their own training facility, theyre pretty underdog,i would say selangor is below jdt due to their past success and terengganu fc
@@adam55244 well in point' of view of Foreigner , they big , atleast Cup expert . They Runner up Of AFC Cup last edition , win local cup last edition , Enter 3 Final in 2 season . That's impressive .
@@Luonguyen457instead of KL city, i prefered to feature Terengganu FC team.
Great video....great club
you got a new subscriber here 🎉
Thank you!!!!
Terbaik bro❤️💙
I like watching yr vlogs :] keep it up :) 😊i like football 🙃⚽️
Glad you like them!
Its true
Every year , the entire league is just "Oh yea , Johor will top the league, who'll finished second I wonder?" 😂😂😂
lol... truly are, beside all other teams just wondering how many goals they will score against us... perhaps some clubs will able to catch things up
That top u bought is 🔥 the badge is so cool
Actually there's a tour, where you ride a Hummer car and it goes around and inside the stadium. but it have a specific days for it if I'm not mistaken.
I'm from Johor....tq for visiting
