Please go to Martha Vineyards especially during the new black films week. First two weeks of August. it's a beachy outfit place. All the who who of scholars are there. Go out at night and just walk around no hassle just black freedom to just exist. We need that break from the over policing and racism. A great place for our teenagers to be themselves.

my husband's family built a house there in southampton years ago. It's a relaxing place. More people come out there now. Enjoy
Haven't been to the Hamptons but Martha's Vineyard is lovely. You might also like Cape May in NJ. Victorian vibes. You can rent bikes or a tandem bike and ride around. It has a great boardwalk, whale/dolphin watching points, sunset sailing cruises, lots of cool shops and restaurants and, of course, the beach. It's kind of far from NYC so you should probably plan to stay overnight.
I’m actually at the airport heading there now for a week. It’s refreshing to be in a place where it’s predominantly POC for a few months (well except 🇬🇭😊). Its very relaxed, fun, chilled and walkable depending where you live. You have to go with friends of course!

Martha's Vineyard trip please! These beachy towns are so hard to trust on the weather sometimes! They can be stunning or they can be grey. Loved your top SO much
i like Newport RI. Great beaches, good shopping in town. it gets busy but I like it. I relax on Ocean Drive by the water. I also like Stonington Conn. Foxwood resort nearby and Stonington has beautiful places by the water and artsy communities and it is near mystic. The hamptons and the vineyard are very similar. If you like dealing with name droppers and whos who that is cool , but I don't care for that type of socializing. i like peace and good times enjoying nature and folks i enjoy being around

Carolyn!!!! Okay so now you have to DO the Hampton. What you did is when people switch trains in Grand Central Station and say they’ve been to NYC! Overnight is good so you can see the town and go to the beach. That French fry incident is par for the course unfortunately- I haven’t been there in 30 years but that vibe was sadly familiar.

I'm a Martha's Vineyard girl. I'm from Boston and have been to MV almost yearly for the past 20 years. I think you would really enjoy it. You must experience the Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival in Oaks Bluff the first week of August.
Thank you for sharing this experience. I too get anxious when I leave home and since I’ve only traveled with my husband since Covid it’s HARD for me to travel with anyone else because he knows how I feel so he comforts me🥰🥰.
first vid i watched of yours, nice! jersey girl here who moved to miami last year and who's currently in the hamptons for work (east hampton to be exact), pretty much what i expected. cute, easy living, peaceful...i don't get the hype lol. trying to make it to montauk before i go back home as i know that's also a popular area. east hampton got them stores though for the gworls 🔥

I love the beach so I have been to the Hamptons twice. I am from CT so I frequent Martha’s Vineyard and Rhode Island beaches. You definitely need a beach house closet to the water.
Some of the homes are absolutely stunning with great pools and outdoor kitchens. Look around and go for a few days. I think you’d love it. There’s shopping too!

can i tell you i did 4 days in Montauk it was amazing i did do an airbnb but i did go to gurney’s restaurant and spa it was so lovely i was one of the only POC but the beach & eatery surrounding was really good i went with American Express

Great video. I am glad that you and your friends had a great time. Go back when the weather is nicer. I saw the documentary you mentioned. It was definitely a case of abuse and justice was not done which left me feeling angry too.. Game of Thrones is superb. As is House of the Dragon. Both pure escapism.

I usually go to South Hamilton lol family home rental. I only enjoy 😅 the beach. it's only 30 minutes away .
