This game is very well balanced. This is because the survivors have no advantage at all, and if they make a mistake, they will be swallowed up by waves of zombies. I really love this game.
Ive played Guts & Blackpowder since before they added more maps, when they havent moved the entire game yet, im happy to see it rise and become more relevant and more new players playing it

Nock gun is surprisingly good, you start off with a full chamber so remember to use it wisely on a group of enemies, and in some cases id recommend reloading when there is some breathing space. And importantly, never ever try to reload it to a full 7 barrels while getting overrun by a horde, 2-4 barrels are good enough.

i find the use case of the Carbine in situations like the Last Stand of Vardøhus Fortress where i could seriously use the extra reload time compared to the musket, and since im not sniping at like 2 million meters, i should most of the time nail the bombers, in turn preventing them from shredding the Sappers' forts with sheer numbers spread out

the carbine seems like it'd be great for people keeping bombers at bay so that sapper buildings aren't destroyed, since it has better accuracy and range than the pistol
A lot of people say the nock gun is still bad when I play guts and blackpowder, and I agree. I just use it cause I like the long reload and the high damage for crowd control.
EVEN though the sapper does massive damage, id still go hand axe over it. Basically the sap will just 1 shot everything and have a slower time doing so. What do you think?

I still won’t use Nock gun much because it acts really weird. I pretty often can’t kill shambler in front of me but kill the ones behind. I think I’ll switch back to good old blunderbuss
@@heyufengwdlss701the reason nockgun is useless on sleepy hallow is because of the reloading speed and 90% reduced damage against boss also you gotta consider spread exist (you won't hit full pellets due to horse blocking some pellets) I'd say landong musket 10 times is better than nockgun

Nock gun doesn't need a damage buff lol. It needs a damage NERF and a reload time BUFF. Its previous damage output per pellet is 150 which is insane and can pretty much kill anything already.

nock gun is downright bad for navy-man sure, yeah, get the nock gun as a line main and be able to kill people with "increased" damage, but i've only been able to kill like 2-4 zombies with nock on FULL LOAD. not only does the gun just kind of suck for navy, but also it has a tremendous reload making it essentially a straight downgrade from the blunderbuss
Why even use the Nock gun if you aren't going to reload fully? I can understand if the situation is desperate, but if not then you should just use other weapons.

Nock gun does way more damage than blunderbuss, which is the main difference id say. Blunderbuss does 450 if all 15 pellets hit and the nock gun does 1750 if all 7 pellets hit
The issue with the carbine and nock gun is that they have no real purpose in the game. The Carbine is just a bad combination between the officer and infantry unit with it being a worse musket with no abilities. When I bought the nock gun I used the 1 ammo shot in normal modes but it still was a pretty bad gun with its low penetration. It takes too long to reload to properly take out hordes, has medium penetration and low spread. and for a sniping a bomber the musket does a better job. It's only use in the game right now is killing a large tanky unit which the game lacks. In my opinion the carbine is to add multiple shots before reloading and as for the nock gun increasing the penetration, making the middle bullet the first ammo you put in, and giving all bullets around it a higher spread to deal with hordes. This way it can be a better horde killer than the blunderbuss at the cost of increased reload time.

Honestly, just play officer. The accuracy debuff is near unnoticeable. Manning the cannons is also a good option.
I feel like the nock gun would be more helpful if there were mini-bosses in campaign and occasional endless bosses ( for certain waves)
imagine Undead Officers every 10 waves, Undead Generals every 20, And Undead Emperors from Wave 35 onwards.
That could make getting old guard harder
And its already hard enough to reach wave 35 so i cant imagine how harder it would be to reach wave 35 with min bosses

I think the best way to play carbine is using it to kill the bombers and let you other teammates melee the lesser zombies
That's the infantryman's job, and carbines make it easier to do that.

I think the headless horseman had his hp buffed, so he is more than 1000 hp now. I could be wrong but thats what I heard last
