      @@DaveMielczarek hi sorry i only make 22mm pumps that way its easier to buy and make the seals only 1 size as for your seals if you plan to puch through the solid 1s i would make your seal 24mm they will expand once the rod is pushed through and give you room to adjust the pump for pressure good luck

    I have been watching all your videos on the copper bait pumps 22mm so im going to try and build one. Ive an 8mm stainless rod for the inside and you mentioned you welded on a 6mm bolt. I was goin to jus thread the bar and use 8mm nuts and stuff jus wondering would it still work the same and also on your silicon washers what size hole is the mould is actually 22 mm or 20mm im assuming you leave a small bit as when pushed through the bolt it will naturally expand with the pressure? As for all 8mm sized the washer hole would be 8mm then? Thanks

    • @hastingsangler
      @hastingsangler  2 месяца назад +2

      Hi Darren yes you could just 8mm thread the rod if you have the tools but i think you cant beat the 6mm thread everything is easier with the smaller thread and the seal will be less hassel you can make 19mm holes and make solid seal then just push through the seal and yes they will expand to a perfect fit i done them that way for years for my self good luck i have a video coming out with how i make my new pumps and how my seals have got better

    Hi dave what is the lenth of your pump from the end of the tube to the top of the handle mine seems a bit to long making it harder to pull up the handle is it possible to cut 10inches off the tube then shorten the shaft by 10inches it would make it a bit easier for me

    • @hastingsangler
      @hastingsangler  3 месяца назад +1

      Jezz Dave that must be a bloody long pump if you want to cut 10" off all depends how tall you are im 5ft 11" and my pumps are 1mtrs long from end to end if they are 6ft plus i make them 1.1mtrs long if you make the pump too short you wont get the suction you need hope this help Dave

    Brilliant found it.. People are slowly finding out just how good these are.. Makes the pump action super smooth great seal n no lube other than sea water required.. Nice 1.. I'm gonna have a little go at making some.. When fitting in pump, do you use just metal washers or is there some thing else between the silicone and the metal washers. What size washer 8mm ? Cheers glad to have found your vid again..
