Since Salmonberry doesn't want to answer your question, which is an important question to ask, I will give you my answer from my experience with hiking most of the long distance trails in the Black Forest. There are privately owned camp grounds where you can pitch a tent, but wild camping is strictly prohibited. The Black Forest is a very delicate ecosystem and can't handle people pitching tents, chopping firewood, or having fires especially near a lake like portrayed here. Totally disrespectful. There are plenty of inns located in trail towns where you can comfortably stay. I have occasionally spent the night in one of the many trail shelters but refrained from making fires. Not sure if that is permitted but I just wanted the experience and left no trace or fire scar.
