My first Cruiser experiences came from my late uncle's 1973 FJ45. It had the 3-speed gearbox, 252 cu in 4.1l GM engine, petrol at that. That truck made a name for Toyota, despite those models being cross bred. In some markets, they came with a variety of slow but neverending Mercedes-Benz Diesel engines, notably the OM314 Unimog 4-pot of old, among others.
Very beautiful rig I own 1 to is beautiful to drive those machines wen I left town in 80 I set I will own one I did my wife set to me that's the landcruiser I want so we bought they not ship thanks for the video
Была же нормальная машина. Для жизни,туризма, рыбалки,охоты. Практичная,простая Без понтов и пафоса. Изменили её до неузнаваемости. Не в лучшую сторону. Маркетинг на пафосе уничножил здоровую идею массовой доступной "рабочей лошадки". Можно было оставить это рабочее, туристическое направление. В самом простом и надёжном исполнении.

God bless 40 series Cruiser with updated suspension. And over drive with High range gears.
And I would take this over anything new!!!
The 70 Series uses Hilux gearbox and front diff. The older ones had the tough Dyna gearbox instead.
