From Oscar-winning director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.
Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
Miller directed from a screenplay he wrote with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller also produces, along with Doug Mitchell and P.J. Voeten. Iain Smith, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers. - Кино
WHAT A MOVIE, WHAT A LOVELY MOVIE!
hisgr8nessmadzak * Oh, what a film!
WHAT A LOVELY FILM!!!
WATCH UNTIL VALHALLA
+hisgr8nessmadzak Its so shiny and chrome.
Perfect in every way!
David Flores So shiny...
This movie lived up and surpassed my expectations. I hope George Miller gets to complete his story in the sequels.
+Marco A I am so upset with myself. I really thought it would fail without Mel Gibson and complained about him not being in it for a long time, but once i saw this movie, I was really proven wrong. George Miller came at it with a new and bright ideas and it was so powerful and worked so great! Fantastic movie and I completely am drooling waiting for the next in the series. This was a beautiful movie, but don't get me wrong, i still love the Mad Max movies prior to this as well - i always will.
***** Glad you enjoyed it!
I also am a fan of the second Road Warrior, Mel Gibson is iconic in the role. Hardy did a great portrayal of the role IMO.
Already bought the bluray and watched all the extras. Some of the stuntwork is absolutely incredible!
Marco A
I need to get the bluray too! I agree with the stunt work and love it that it was not all CGi. Hugs Marco! :)
+VNV Girl haha enjoy 😉
was this movie connected to mad max 3?
This movie instantly became one of my top action movies of all time. I wish more people would have gone to see it. It deserves better than to play second fiddle to Pitch Perfect 2.
What are other action movies that can hold up to Fury Road you think?
Maybe this sounds weird but Lord of the Rings: Two Towers can imho!
DaBurk DaTokk The LOTR series was certainly three of the greatest fantasy films of all time. Two Towers was amazing. Some of my other all time action favorites are The Rock, The Road Warrior, The Raid (both), Die Hard, Aliens, and Terminator 2.
Have you seen all three Hobbits? I liked them the first time I watched them but they imo a real let down :(
DaBurk DaTokk Yeah they aren't as good as the LOTR films but they are still good enough. Sort of like the book. I preferred LOTR over The Hobbit there as well. Stupid Dwarves getting captured every five minutes got old quick.
Linerunner99 Omg the drawves looked so stupid compared to Gimli
I liked this movie when I saw it in theaters, but after seeing these facts here, I have a much greater appreciation for this movie.
Sly88Frye Great to hear you enjoyed Mad Max: Fury Road - I did too! And lovely to hear that my video has contributed to your appreciation of the movie. :-)
***** Wow! What a quick response by someone with over 50,000 subscribers. I'm glad to hear it. Yeah. Your video was quite informative and even though it's the first video of yours I saw, I already subscribed. :D
Sly88Frye That's very kind of you to say so! Glad you liked it enough to subscribe, and hope you continue to enjoy my videos. :D
***** I'm sure I will. Thanks!
Sly88Frye You're very welcome! :-D
Probably one of the best action movies ever filmed. Saw some of the B-roll footages and the way they shot it was just supremely epic! Want 5th Mad Max movie now, but this time with a decent plot.
***** agreed, fury road had an excelent plot.. and there will be a sequel..its called mad max: the wasteland
You cannot say excellent as there was nothing new to offer in the story-line and I personally felt it pretty thin but then I gotta say, movie took off literally from the very first minute which I think was the risky part taken by the studios as not many people(outside america) were introduced to Mad Max world.
arpit gangwal there is nothing that continues the story from the old film no, but that is since its the same ''universe'' but not the same mad max and not the same story.. and the mad max movies are world famous..we enjoy movies outside of the us aswell and mad max are iconic movies in europe to
arpit gangwal This film had a great, well-told story; it was just told mostly through visuals, which is why it was so amazing. The film was also so rich with character-depth and atmosphere.
***** without Mel it's just not the same.
It was truly an amazing movie. I loved it.
singedrac WITNESS!!
I have a bumper sticker my car that says (MY OTHER CAR IS THE WAR RIG)
The movie was fucking awesome, that is all.
Very rare for a 12 facts video to actually tell me a full 12 facts I didn't know! Good job!

Spoiler Alert: Shit Goes Down
RIDING TO VALHALLA!!!!!
Logan5Greye Shiny and chrome
Xeromorph Blanc WHAT A LOVELY DAY, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LOVELY DAY!!!!
To Valhalla!!
Logan5Greye WITNESS ME!!!
Logan5Greye witness me!!!
Clever Name witness!!!
Is it just me or does the polecat thing look really fun
The movie was a triumph. It was a ride that took you in this world and you pretty much know only what max knows. There was no need for over explanation nor pointless romance. The movie was a test of survival as well as clinging to what humanity had left. A must see
Watched it three times, loved charlize theron in this. And the weapons were so amazing and creative. Its nice to see something more than just guns
I absolutely love that instead of using CGI for explosions and charachters they used it for scenery which as we can now see, makes all the difference.
+Jake Sheffield That shit doesn't age, CGI ages terribly
I got to see the vehicles used in the movie as I am from Namibia. Trust me it was the whole papers full. As you can imagine it caused quite a stir. In the end it was all worth it as this is one epic movie.
The movie was really intense, and I thought very well done. I know it's "Mad Max", but I'd like to see a Furiosa origin story. She seems like she has a really interesting past.
And you know when immortan joe dies and toast spits on him? It is implied in the comics that immortan joe annally raped toast.
There's a comic that explains her past (I think, I haven't read it) but I can summarise it for ya!! - (Spoilers, obviously) - She was one of Joe's wives, but didn't give birth to any children so she fought her way to become an Imperator
emilythehamster Wow, thanks! I'd be fuckin pissed if I had to f- with that dude too.
+emilythehamster it only showed how furiosa and the wives met.
I really wanted to see more of the Ford XC Coupe Interceptor .. maybe in the next installment ! Go the FORDS !!
you forgot that the actor who plays Toe Cutter is the actor that plays Joe.
Loved the movie, also loved that the 12 things shown were accurate and not guesses or plain wrong, like some others I have seen about Mad Max
If you watch the behind the scenes George surprised most of the cast when filming scenes that required extra strong emotion so lots of the most intense moments the main actors that weren't directly involved didn't know it was going to happen
Say in the comments what u think about the movie... oke, i do it Nux style...
WHAT A MOVIE... WHAT A LOVELY MOVIE!!! xD ;)
The way you said "gymnasts" was sublime.
+Jade Prout definately weren't gymnasts.
Here's another fact people overlook: The actor who plays Immortal Joe, Hugh Keays Byrne is the same actor who played the Toecutter in the original Mad Max.
I had only heard of the game, but after reading the summary I was very intrigued by it and couldn't wait to get home and watch; man, what a movie.
The actors were brilliant and loving and hating a character could go forth and back in an instant; I love when that happens since many times when they have good reason to do so, switch sides, it just really builds on the character and makes them so much more!
Also, slightly obsessed with Tom Hardy now.
Can't wait for the sequel.
This film is awesome. Got me hooked throughout!
13. After talking with Miller, charlize theron was so impressed with project that she immediately cut her arm off with chainsaw...
I liked the movie from the start because of the kick-ass cars, but when I saw the doof warrior playing the guitar ontop of the truck, I knew it would be epic \m/
My son and I enjoyed the movie immensely. So much so we saw it again in 3D. So awesome!
This movie was amazing. Truly a worthy addition to the Mad Max series.
It was funny when they tried to film in broken hill the bush was all green and that but after they left and started filming overseas we had a massive drought and everything turned brown again, just bad timing I guess
it was a great movie.
Amazingly epic
so perfect and I hope see another part
One of the best movies ever and I would like to see max meet Furiosa again
Loved the movie very much. If there is to be a sequel, I have no idea how they are going to top this one. The one area of improvement to suggest would be to give Max's character some depth.
Mad Max Fury Road is one of the best movies I've seen in a fucking decade. What a surge of energy that it brought to cinema.
Even though I looked forward to seeing a sequel of Mad Max I have to say that Beyond the Thunder Dome will remain the best. Fury Road was visually action entertaining, but lacked that something that made Thunder Dome the movie it was, and I can watch that one over and over without ever getting bored.
Just Saw the movie.
Fucking amazing!
Sick to Death to see yet another Mad Max Fury Road Vid and still no mention of the South African Crew, we made up almost half of the Crew, was in the desert for up to 5 months , was a big part of the success of the Movie, but yet to hear any mention of us anywhere. So much for our hard work.
Prior to seeing Fury Road, to me, I liked Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior most, then Mad Max, then Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome. After I like fury Road most! I LOVED this movie!! And I heard that Hardy signed on for multiple movies, so that means they will probably make more Mad Max films. Hopefully Miller will still be in control to make them.
When I saw this movie, I thought to myself that this movie could literally translate into a comic book.
This movie awesome!
The amount of work and dedication that went into Mad Max Fury Road has made me respect an already amazing film even more.
The most fun I have had at a movie in years. There was some CGI but loved the spectacle of using real props for stunts. I wish it would have done better at the box office so studios would get away from using too much CGI.
thanks for the facts. The level of creaivity and detail makes it my favorite action movie since the matrix in 1999. I wish they had used mad max car a bit more. how did they do that water scene and big elevators?
FYI they had to have 3 of the black war rig just for the movie
he isnt the Dewf warrior, hes the DOOF warrior
Zacq768 I lol'd so hard at "dufe warrior".
dewf doof dufe same thing wtf
+Joseph Stalin Doof is an Australian name for Doof parties which are basically techno raves in the bush. It's like Oof! but with a D.
***** Joseph Stalin "Doof" originally referred to the type of music (due to the sound of the bass drum). You go to a doof party to listen to doof, and a doof party held somewhere remote is called a bush doof.
Now "doof" refers to the event as well.
Mad Max Fury Road is a stunning piece of work. Love the previous ones (third one not so much though) and if they do a sequel they should go to new lands and introduce new tribes. Also needs to be more of a story in the next one coz critics will just say that all it is is high-octane action with no plot
I NEED that Mad Max: Fury Road storyboard!! Is there any place online I can read it?!
This movie was the greatest I've seen in many MANY years. I'm addicted to mad max. In a sequel. I would absolutely love to see the skeleton guy from 47 ronin to be a war boy. That would be awesome
The guy who was part of the character design for the cast is an anime character designer Maihiro Maeda, who did Evangalion and many other. Apparently, Mad Max supposedly be an animated movie, but since the director George Miller loved the designs he kept it and placed Maeda's name in the credit.
www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/06/21-1/veteran-anime-creator-mahiro-maedas-mad-max-fury-road-design-work-showcased
There is an exculsive ending theme for Japan release of Mad Max Fury Road, played by band co-op, [Man with Mission] X [Zebra Head]

It's the actually just the old Lone Stranger Helps Wagon Train Pursued By Indians trope, but updated, supercharged, NOx injected, rage fuelled and set in Hobbesian wasteland. Oh, and the surprisingly feminist (or at least anti sexist) story with uncomfortably accurate resonances from the headlines (IS/Daesh).
I wanna see Charlize Theron do that again! Hell and Tom Hardy! I wouldn't even mind less expensive stunts, they could concentrate on characters. What do they do next?
I'd LIKE more stunts though, the old school style pays off 100%, you can't fake reality.
Is that a JAG 6 engine block being used for a counter balance for the Pole Cats...?
Man... really? You should have talked about how Iota actually stood on a truck, played the guitar which was also a real flame-thrower! Man, i totally thought it was CGI
I was really hoping to see more of the other cities; other than that it was good and I hope they do another :)
I loved this movie so much that I think that it just MIGHT be as good as MAD MAX 2/The Road Warrior.
+DementedCaver watched the 3 old mad max movies a couple days ago with a friend, The Road Warrior is a great movie even by today's standard, really good, but Fury Road is just mind blowing haha
Is there a comic book complied of the storyboard that miller worked on with the comic book artist?it's seems like it would be interesting.
In the post apocalyptic wasteland of Australia, lives go on, people search for gasoline, and murder happens everyday. But war, war never changes.
And people use the gasoline that they find on cars that burn it up in minutes!
Something I never understood, gas is so valuable, meanwhile the average MPG of vehicles visible is like 3
+Artyom Zaytsev Shhhh....
Nice job, I learned something :o)
Awesome thank you!
this film was incredible. However if they're making a sequel, they need to put more action of max in his v8 interceptor ;-)
Oh man, the scene where we first see the Doof Warrior.
If the creators of the mad max franchise decide to make another mad max movie, they should make it based around the videogame, but Max should be a little bit more trustworthy and friendly to chumbucket.
Anyone know where the song in the background is from?
what was the website called with fact 2?
For the sequel ... Max is descended from Rockantsky ..... Furiousa is descended from Joanna Goanna .... Just my thoughts ... I thought the movie was GREAT !!!!!!
Such an expensive project, but it was worth it!
It is a great action movie, I really liked it. There is no need for a sequel, however I would love to see a Gorge Miller directing/writing a fallout movie
Can we say masterpiece.
And not a curse word in sight..
just when i thought this movie couldn't get any better...
I wanna see a shit ton of cars clashing in a battle against two clans or factions or something
Adrenalin plus!.... awesome
More doof!!! More enduro bikes! Wooo loved the movie!
Toecutter from the first Mad Max Plays Immortan Joe.
imagine when holograms come out...movies filmed in hologram and you watch em with your hololens.... OMG thats going to be EPIC!
I loved the movie, it was epic! I they will make another sequel, and hope Charlize Theron ' s Furiosa will again be part of it. There's a lot more to know about the background of her character, and well I just love her as an actress. She's done so many different roles and nails each and everyone of them. Or she should get her own franchise ☺
If you think Broken Hill is "Outback" you haven't been to WA or NT.
I think an interesting idea for a sequel is what if some people show up with far superior technology.. Maybe with APCs or Abrams tanks.. Solar powered cars or helicopters/planes. If a group had a working ac130 with communications gear they could rain down destruction like gods. Maybe some waste landers stumbled upon a military base/armory. They could even possibly have future tech like lasers or something. Maybe a brilliant scientist/engineer survived from before and was able to develop very advanced tech. Maybe they know of a way to re-terraform the earth to grow plants and rain everywhere.. Or maybe they're the bad guys. If some guys had just one Abrams tank or APC they might very well be unstoppable in this world.
sounds like you want a fallout movie lol
+Slotha Sil you're absolutely right lol. I loved fallout 3 so go figure. Ok what if they came across some guys who only used like Asian cars.. And figured out how to be fast and super efficient with fuel.. Not as epic an idea as the other but you're right, it's totally ripped off from fallout
it was truly a lovely day
if i worked on designs on a mad max movie i would create a war rig like the one in the movie exept
i would combine a tank engine and 3 other truck engines to power 2 massive caterpiller tracks that would be used instead of the normal hind weels, but i would keep the front weels the sams,
i would also because of the power this truck had be able to link up many gas tanks up which would be costimisable by the poeple protecting that section.
Who else wants to get on that website
OH WHAT A LOVELY FILM!
im pretty sure theres already ben announcement of two sequels
mad max: furiosa
mad max: the wasteland
i read it when looking up my dream truck AKA the War-Rig
Did you know that Immortan Joe is actually the Toecutter? The nostalgia nearly killed me when I found out
the same actor different character toecutter was killed in a head on collision with a diesel truck at the end of max
Yea sorry i didn't clarify. I knew he was killed, i just meant the actor. The eyes when the Toecutter saw the truck makes me laugh evry time.
They took the Road Wars about as far as they can go, so I'd like to see more action on foot in the sequel. I'd also like to see Max get his Interceptor back and fixed up. Although I'd love to see a Furiosa spin-off movie, I hope she isn't in a sequel. The focus needs to be shifted more toward Max and HIS story.
+Derke73 Didn't I read that the next is actually called Mad Max: Furiosa? I could be wrong
+Evil-Dog Productions its called furiisa wasteland
+Laban Warner furiosa*
i really hope george miller keeps going, even fury road is a damn tough act to follow. but it was so perfect
Fury Road is not a sequel, it's a stand alone, a revisit. George Miller has said this in interviews as well as it could be after road warrior before thunderdome. Nonetheless, great film, also, Mad Max has never been about a story, it's the cars, stunts and characters. WITNESS
Best movie of the year hands down.
The feeling when you already knew every single thing on this list.
I like the song Can you please give me the nam of song
I can't get over Max scarfing down that lizard.
mind blowing movie i i know all exept one l Cirque du Soleil performer
Best mad max movie for me
Loved the movie! I would like to see more road action in the sequel. More like Fallout would be nice also. Be more realistic, no more starting the Blower when the engine starts. It's cool but we know that's not how it works.
Why more like Fallout? Fallout is a completely different franchise. I mean sure, its post apocalyptic, but there's mutants and weird shit like that.
max used the same car In every movie
So Max is actually the feral kid from Road Warrior, right? I mean, if you read the graphic novel about Immortan Joe, he didn't have kids when the world fell. Now, Scrotus & Rictus are at least 20, and the little one must be older. So that would put the original Max in his mid to late 40's at the youngest. Mel Gibson, himself, is over 60, I think. Just wondering if it was ever confirmed that this is not the original Mad Max, lore wise.
+MouliMohamhedRazouli It is the original Mad Max just played by a different actor. The feral kid being max is a stupid fan theory that has been proven wrong in various ways
So I'm stupid, Toe cutter!?! How 'bout if I chase you down, like the pathetic dog you are, and watch you frantically hurl yourself into the very... well, you saw the movie.
What about the interceptor ?
the movie was perfectly done but could have used a little more story line.
I LOVED IT.
this movie made me like the original triology more 😌
2:52 73 charger
Great movie all around. Better than Star Wars!
I had zero expectations when sitting down to watch this movie. I didn't know much about it, and I figured it was going to be just another lame and unnecessary cgi remake of a once great franchise. Just like most of the other 80's or 90's movies that were remade or expanded upon, without actually doing much for me personally, I simply thought that this new Mad Max film would probably be just as forgettable as let's say a Jurassic World. It wasn't long untill I noticed how wrong I was. The movie quickly gets you involved and interested. The acting is great, the action is over the top, yet believable and the world that is portrayed really stays true to the original movies. I would even go as far as to say that the world here is more on point than it was in the originals. I mean, Max actually was "mad", more or less, in this version. The moment I realised that this film truly was a sequal and not just some modern remake, was the scene set in what used to be the green land in the story: the wasteland marshes, with the crows and dead trees, and those weird looking men walking along on those long poles. Overall, the movie had an 80's feel to it, it had a good story and I loved most of the characters, especially Charlize Theron, I thought she was great. The only thing that "bothered" me somewhat was the fact that Max never really felt like the main character. He doesn't say much and it's more the Theron character who's the main protagonist in this movie. So naming the film "Mad Max" didn't really fit all that well, in my opinion. Still, it's a great film, great action, and I was throuroughly surprised and entertained by it. Going to have to rewatch it again soon!
