    From Oscar-winning director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.
    Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
    Miller directed from a screenplay he wrote with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller also produces, along with Doug Mitchell and P.J. Voeten. Iain Smith, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers.

      +Marco A I am so upset with myself. I really thought it would fail without Mel Gibson and complained about him not being in it for a long time, but once i saw this movie, I was really proven wrong. George Miller came at it with a new and bright ideas and it was so powerful and worked so great! Fantastic movie and I completely am drooling waiting for the next in the series. This was a beautiful movie, but don't get me wrong, i still love the Mad Max movies prior to this as well - i always will.

      ***** Glad you enjoyed it!
      I also am a fan of the second Road Warrior, Mel Gibson is iconic in the role. Hardy did a great portrayal of the role IMO.

      What are other action movies that can hold up to Fury Road you think?
      Maybe this sounds weird but Lord of the Rings: Two Towers can imho!

    • @Linerunner99
      @Linerunner99 9 лет назад

      DaBurk DaTokk The LOTR series was certainly three of the greatest fantasy films of all time. Two Towers was amazing. Some of my other all time action favorites are The Rock, The Road Warrior, The Raid (both), Die Hard, Aliens, and Terminator 2.

    • @tokkiev.3234
      @tokkiev.3234 9 лет назад

    • @Linerunner99
      @Linerunner99 9 лет назад

      DaBurk DaTokk Yeah they aren't as good as the LOTR films but they are still good enough. Sort of like the book. I preferred LOTR over The Hobbit there as well. Stupid Dwarves getting captured every five minutes got old quick.

    • @ArpitGangwal
      @ArpitGangwal 9 лет назад +1

      You cannot say excellent as there was nothing new to offer in the story-line and I personally felt it pretty thin but then I gotta say, movie took off literally from the very first minute which I think was the risky part taken by the studios as not many people(outside america) were introduced to Mad Max world.

    • @failcom87
      @failcom87 9 лет назад

      arpit gangwal there is nothing that continues the story from the old film no, but that is since its the same ''universe'' but not the same mad max and not the same story.. and the mad max movies are world famous..we enjoy movies outside of the us aswell and mad max are iconic movies in europe to

    I had only heard of the game, but after reading the summary I was very intrigued by it and couldn't wait to get home and watch; man, what a movie.
    The actors were brilliant and loving and hating a character could go forth and back in an instant; I love when that happens since many times when they have good reason to do so, switch sides, it just really builds on the character and makes them so much more!
    Also, slightly obsessed with Tom Hardy now.
    Can't wait for the sequel.

    • @themetr0gn0me

      ***** Joseph Stalin "Doof" originally referred to the type of music (due to the sound of the bass drum). You go to a doof party to listen to doof, and a doof party held somewhere remote is called a bush doof.
      Now "doof" refers to the event as well.

    The guy who was part of the character design for the cast is an anime character designer Maihiro Maeda, who did Evangalion and many other. Apparently, Mad Max supposedly be an animated movie, but since the director George Miller loved the designs he kept it and placed Maeda's name in the credit.

    It's the actually just the old Lone Stranger Helps Wagon Train Pursued By Indians trope, but updated, supercharged, NOx injected, rage fuelled and set in Hobbesian wasteland. Oh, and the surprisingly feminist (or at least anti sexist) story with uncomfortably accurate resonances from the headlines (IS/Daesh).
    I wanna see Charlize Theron do that again! Hell and Tom Hardy! I wouldn't even mind less expensive stunts, they could concentrate on characters. What do they do next?
    I'd LIKE more stunts though, the old school style pays off 100%, you can't fake reality.

    I loved the movie, it was epic! I they will make another sequel, and hope Charlize Theron ' s Furiosa will again be part of it. There's a lot more to know about the background of her character, and well I just love her as an actress. She's done so many different roles and nails each and everyone of them. Or she should get her own franchise ☺

    I think an interesting idea for a sequel is what if some people show up with far superior technology.. Maybe with APCs or Abrams tanks.. Solar powered cars or helicopters/planes. If a group had a working ac130 with communications gear they could rain down destruction like gods. Maybe some waste landers stumbled upon a military base/armory. They could even possibly have future tech like lasers or something. Maybe a brilliant scientist/engineer survived from before and was able to develop very advanced tech. Maybe they know of a way to re-terraform the earth to grow plants and rain everywhere.. Or maybe they're the bad guys. If some guys had just one Abrams tank or APC they might very well be unstoppable in this world.

      +Slotha Sil you're absolutely right lol. I loved fallout 3 so go figure. Ok what if they came across some guys who only used like Asian cars.. And figured out how to be fast and super efficient with fuel.. Not as epic an idea as the other but you're right, it's totally ripped off from fallout

    if i worked on designs on a mad max movie i would create a war rig like the one in the movie exept
    i would combine a tank engine and 3 other truck engines to power 2 massive caterpiller tracks that would be used instead of the normal hind weels, but i would keep the front weels the sams,
    i would also because of the power this truck had be able to link up many gas tanks up which would be costimisable by the poeple protecting that section.

    They took the Road Wars about as far as they can go, so I'd like to see more action on foot in the sequel. I'd also like to see Max get his Interceptor back and fixed up. Although I'd love to see a Furiosa spin-off movie, I hope she isn't in a sequel. The focus needs to be shifted more toward Max and HIS story.

    Fury Road is not a sequel, it's a stand alone, a revisit. George Miller has said this in interviews as well as it could be after road warrior before thunderdome. Nonetheless, great film, also, Mad Max has never been about a story, it's the cars, stunts and characters. WITNESS

    Loved the movie! I would like to see more road action in the sequel. More like Fallout would be nice also. Be more realistic, no more starting the Blower when the engine starts. It's cool but we know that's not how it works.

      Why more like Fallout? Fallout is a completely different franchise. I mean sure, its post apocalyptic, but there's mutants and weird shit like that.

    So Max is actually the feral kid from Road Warrior, right? I mean, if you read the graphic novel about Immortan Joe, he didn't have kids when the world fell. Now, Scrotus & Rictus are at least 20, and the little one must be older. So that would put the original Max in his mid to late 40's at the youngest. Mel Gibson, himself, is over 60, I think. Just wondering if it was ever confirmed that this is not the original Mad Max, lore wise.

    • @seandavis908

      +MouliMohamhedRazouli It is the original Mad Max just played by a different actor. The feral kid being max is a stupid fan theory that has been proven wrong in various ways

    I had zero expectations when sitting down to watch this movie. I didn't know much about it, and I figured it was going to be just another lame and unnecessary cgi remake of a once great franchise. Just like most of the other 80's or 90's movies that were remade or expanded upon, without actually doing much for me personally, I simply thought that this new Mad Max film would probably be just as forgettable as let's say a Jurassic World. It wasn't long untill I noticed how wrong I was. The movie quickly gets you involved and interested. The acting is great, the action is over the top, yet believable and the world that is portrayed really stays true to the original movies. I would even go as far as to say that the world here is more on point than it was in the originals. I mean, Max actually was "mad", more or less, in this version. The moment I realised that this film truly was a sequal and not just some modern remake, was the scene set in what used to be the green land in the story: the wasteland marshes, with the crows and dead trees, and those weird looking men walking along on those long poles. Overall, the movie had an 80's feel to it, it had a good story and I loved most of the characters, especially Charlize Theron, I thought she was great. The only thing that "bothered" me somewhat was the fact that Max never really felt like the main character. He doesn't say much and it's more the Theron character who's the main protagonist in this movie. So naming the film "Mad Max" didn't really fit all that well, in my opinion. Still, it's a great film, great action, and I was throuroughly surprised and entertained by it. Going to have to rewatch it again soon!
