There could only be one Robin! No one could ever impersonate that voice... Unique? One of a kind? Outstanding..... Definitely....what adjective is appropriate??? The Bee Gees was and is forever incomparable. Barry's falsetto seemed to always capture the emphasis but I believe it was misplaced. As a group they went way beyond talented with a God given gift... And Robin was definitely the standout. You will forever be remembered and retain your position in musical history. RIP Robin.
Donna Robinson, I do feel the same way. There is a lot of interviews here on YT where they would ask about the falsetto, but never even mention Robin's beautiful voice.
And the crazy part is that Robin had a better falsetto than Barry, a fact that suggests the gentleman is not adhering too closely to the truth when he says that he was the only one who could sing falsetto. There had to be something else going on for a vocal group to minimize their best singer. It is an arrangement that makes no sense. When a conflict arose between the best interests of the Bee Gees and the best interests of Barry, the latter invariably trumped the former. There really is no explanation beyond stupidity for that to be the case unless marketability played a larger role than ability.

@@suzettebavier4412 And although Barry has always said they always agreed who was best suited to sing lead he recently let slip that "I should have let Robin sing more." It implies he decided the issue, not the three of them. I recently read another post that said Barry got 40% of the royalties for their song catalog and Robin and Maurice got 30% each. I don't know if that is so but Barry certainly sang more than 40% of the leads. That was more Barry 60% Robin 35% and Maurice 5%. Barry's share was even higher in the SNF era but before and after I think that's about right. Even when Robin sang leads on their early hits, Barry always sang more on the albums. What a puzzling arrangement.

@Anna Gonzalez - I always thought he was handsome, not in the traditional sense of a "stud muffin", but he had such a characterful face, soulful puppy eyes, a beautiful genuine smile, so natural and funny and the amazing voice was just the cherry on top. He just always drew my eyes. I did think he was VERY hot in his video "Boys do fall in Love". Seeing him with his two big dogs made me love him even more. It was heartbreaking to see them follow his casket in the funeral. His brothers always said he was a genius and knew a lot about everything. As you said, his haunting voice will never leave us.
