Really? Bond does not die? Says who? Is the character immortal? Did Ian Fleming say he cannot die? I love the way this movie ended. Bond was always meant to die. 00s have a short lifespan. The fact that he died on his terms, for family instead of country is refreshing. Like Bond himself, we had all resigned ourselves to the fact that Bond would die alone, fatherless and loveless. That being said, I thought they could have done a better job with the plot. I loved Rami Malek, but the threat simply did not seem great enough, or eminent enough, to warrant Bond’s death.

I wonder, wouldn't his EMP watch solve the problem? If they knew nanobots were used for distributing the virus, the EMP would have been the solution to the whole problem. Rather than calling for missiles to be fired. Bond's watch could have destroyed the river of nanobots.
Whilst the ending is incredibly sad, emotional and moving, deep down I wish he could have just retired and lived out his life with Madeleine and Mathilde...
Now there is nothing left to save.. they've ruined James Bond.. Tragic to see wokeness, meetoo, diversity and sexuality being forced into these films.. Pierce Brosnans 007 was the perfect Bond for me. Not this depressed cold drama shit.
The only thing that could’ve made his death scene more perfect is if right before he is hit with the missile he lit Felix’s cigar that he gave bond earlier in the movie. Bond cooly staring death in the eye while puffing a cigar would’ve been iconic and such in character. It was pretty perfect as is, just a thought.
67 years old and im glad this mess of a series is over. This filthy looking, sweaty bond and these sjw storylines is over finally. They ruined a good franchise with this loser.
I almost teared up myself, didn't expect that ending. It's already enough to know this is Craig's last bond film, but with that ending it's like come on!

The ending might divided some people but I honestly liked it, the way Bond choose to just give up and tell his wife his final words, I thought it was emotionally satisfying (yeah I cried when he died) and I understand that it's Craig's final portrayal of Bond and not every movie needs a happy ending. Similarly to RDJ's final performance as Tony Stark in Endgame and Hugh Jackman's final performance as Wolverine in Logan, Marvel had to killed them because it's the actor's final performance no matter what

I just finish seeing movie Im 57yrs old and grew up with Sean Connery as Bond so he is my sentimental favorite but Daniel Craig is a very very close 2nd …. He had a great run as 007…
I liked the ending. Felt like poetic justice. He ended up giving his life for queen and country like a true hero. He also found peace, however small and short it was. Got over his trust issues by falling in love with a woman who didn’t betray him and thus broke the Vesper history. Had a daughter that would carry on his legacy and name. A big theme in the Craig films has been sacrifice. Vesper sacrificing herself, M doing the same, Felix dying. It just feels like this is the price you pay, and when you spend a lifetime killing, you don’t get to walk off into the sunset. Very on point for this reboot where James Bond has always had to face consequences.
Understandable as Bond has been a part of our lives for 60+ years. Oddly enough (or maybe not) I felt the same way when QEII died. End of an era. A reason to grieve.
No, he died due to poor writing that was not the real James Bond. It felt to real to life with virus like bioweapons and the need for diversity and me too movement. I would of avoided it, if I knew they would crap on the character by having such a pusssey villain kill him. Bond sacrifices his life everyday by being 007. No need to meet the other end of a missle or bullet or virus poison. Dumb!!!!! Went out with a g for girl. The next bond will be a girl. So, it's also woke.

Daniel Craig was the best Bond ever ... it was so sad at the end of No time to die 😭i cried and felt numb inside.... just shows how good he portrayed this part 😍
Me and My grandfather went to see all Daniel Craig’s bond movies starting when I was young and for us to see this ending was amazing and emotional. Best Bond. Ever. I’ve Said it.
I have mixed feelings on that ending. On one hand I understand why they did what they did and why Bond would choose to die rather than risk exposing Madeleine or their daughter to the nanobots. Q is very smart and very good at what he does and always seems to figure out someway to save the day when dealing with technology. You really mean to tell me they couldn’t have gotten Bond out of there and kept him quarantined and worked around him in hazmat suits until they figured out a cure so he could be free to go back to Madeleine and his daughter and you know be happy for once.
Q himself confirms that the nanobots can't be removed from one's bloodstream. Because Safin infects Bond through an open wound, his whole body has become a walking death trap for his family. Also, the amount of wounds on his body would have bled him dry before any rescue, and he was definitely not in the shape for a swim cause they do show him struggling to walk and to climb the ladder.
@@hrickthegeek I understand they can’t be removed as far as they know, but you really don’t think they’d try everything to help him. Q already created a smart blood that track the agents and their vitals, who’s to say he couldn’t create his own nanobots to target and kill the heracles virus. And also this Bond got shot off the top of a moving train and fell at least 100 feet into a river where he should have either drowned, bled out, or been killed by the fall and get he still turns up on some beach alive and well.
They had to kill him off because 007 has been labelled a rapist alcoholic bad role model in the modern world by the woke movement. Hence Naomi… a black female to spit in the face of Ian Fleming and to obtain support from the woke movement.
@@Ti-sq8jm she wasn’t even a likable character to begin with, she spends most of the movie being a b*tch. I loved the other CIA agent he was with in Cuba at the Spectre party, she was funny and bubbly, would have loved it if we saw more of her.
I did not expect Daniel Craig's Bond to die, at all... I thought he would just go to retirement and will live like a normal man, with his loving beings, Madeleine and daughter. Utterly sad to realise it, but he died for those he loves and for all good people at all that he saved that day. I love him.
Throughout the movie I was like “he can’t dies, he’s James freaking Bond” but when he went to the island with the other agent I told my sister that he’s definitely dying. When those silo gates started closing that just confirmed it. Also you just had a feeling that something was gonna happen. I wish he would get that happy ending with his family but I guess it had to be that way. He was at peace knowing his family was safe and that he saved others.
I like to think the reason Madeline & daughter were back in Italy at the end of the movie, driving to the same village as the start was because she laid James to rest with Vesper 🤷♂️
I will not lie this movie and ending made me shed a tear and cry a little, honestly the perfect way to go and say goodbye to a character you’ve played for over 10 years now. If only he had left that island as he had enough time to and retired with his wife and daughter but I respect and understand why they didn’t do that, if the next bond movies aren’t my thing at least I have this beautiful movie to end my childhood with also sad to see the entire original cast perish.

I watched this movie with my girlfriend at the movie theater last night, and it was the saddest movie ending ever, but probably one of the most fitting.
One beautiful aspect of the ending was that throughout Daniel Craigs James Bond era, opposite forces kept on highlighting the fact that everyone he touches dies. From Casino Royale all the way to Spectre and with No Time to Die, that actually became the case.
You've just explained why he chooses to die. His reason to live, his daughter and Madeline are taken from him. Heracles means he can never see them again.
@@DJNITON Bond loved her. This has been clear from the previous movie. He also didn't want to run the risk of infecting someone who came to them later.
What I hope when they reboot Bond: Someone in MI6: I thought you were dead. Bond: The rumors of my death were blown out of proportion. Also acceptable: The news of my death was greatly exaggerated. Another option: I got better.
Craig isn’t coming back though, and I felt he did quite well in this film. I overall enjoyed it as well. But I can’t believe that many think the character of Bond isn’t going to return. Even at the end of the credits it says “James Bond will return”. They’ll probably just reboot the series again.

Your right!! But these is a real Daniel craige arc, something special!! It’s gonna be hard for the next Bond, but I can’t wait!! It is time to work on new bonds
While I enjoyed the movie, what they did to Bond....... The only way to salvage this is to get someone incredible like a Henry Cavill to play a younger Bond and have it set in the 80s or something and give a storyline from his "younger" days.
What a 6 years it's been; I've seen the deaths of Han Solo, Chekov, Mallory Archer, and now Bond. What beloved character from my past will be killed off next, Barney the Dinosaur?
Tears came down my face, just like Dark Knight, Paul in fast and furious, jack in titanic, etc.... I'm just a sucker for memorable characters. Didn't cry for Iron Man, because I just didn't connect to him like I did Wolverine......and I cried during Logan's death as well.
how can anyone be excited about a new bond... after killing a character after so many years.. no... the social climate will lose this time, there is no need to replace it, leave it alone.
I’m sorry but i have to disagree. This ending was different from others and that made it so special. It perfectly ended the Craig saga and confirmed once more what James bond is about: doing your duty’s no matter what. After saving his family and destroying the factory bond knew his final and most important mission was over so he accepted his death. It’s also what we see in life: sometimes You cheer victory, sometimes you lose, and sometimes it’s something in between. I will remember this ending far better then I would’ve if he just made it. Bond is an amazing spy, but he’s not immortal.
Totally agree with Vinne Mascaro. They should leave it . i've been into James Bond since Connery in Dr No......but the true character of 007 is based on the books and early films...could not work today in these PC times......well...its now another time and place so have to accept that....we've modernised it...rebooted...reinvented...but cant anyone just come up with something more original and relevant to today?
I thought James Bond was the anonymous name of the agent, not his actually name? That’s why there have been multiple James Bond characters. Because they can easily replace the agent when the current one dies
@@Rschont11 Thats his real name...watch "skyfall" to trace his family history. Or better yet the original Ian Fleming novels are great to get into the what the real character was like
I saw the movie 2 days ago and i´m still sad, first of all because he died unexpectedly and in a horrible way, but you know, he accepted his fate in his own terms, and he also knew that his death would come someday because of his actions. "He who kills with the sword with the sword dies". Thats one part of the sacrifice he made, knowing this all along, despite his flaws as a human being, he always had the will to do the right thing, even if he had to pay the price. And the other part of the sacrifice was the virus and being unable to be with his family. He was meant to be a loner and a saviour.
Felt so shocking to see him die. Especially since during the rest of the movie he survived several direct grenade hits and hundreds of bullets missing him from yards away. Come to think of it, he probably survived this as well
Regardless of the latest series of bond movies my view of James Bond is the following: - James Bond is an alias - All 007 agents receive an alias and the former identity is wiped - Whoever takes up the mantle of the new 007 moniker James Bond becomes the new James Bond That way James Bond is forever no matter how often he would die.
So, a year has gone by and I think it's been revealed that the next franchise will be about how Bond became 007. Explains why they had no qualms about finally killing him off (though I have to say I shed a few tears...been watching Bond movies for almost 60 years now, from Dr. No forward. Hope the rumor is true and we get to see how young Bond honed his craft, although 1 year later, still nothing has been announced.
God I need to watch that movie once again. The DNA stuff was abit incomprehensible to me. I just learnt now, a week after watching the movie, that he was poisoned with Madeleine’s DNA.. I thought it was just posion not MADELEINE’S… Safin’s so f**king cruel for that
Yeah because the vial with the bacteria broke when they were fighting, and bond was in the water, so he got infected with the one that would kill Madeline and Mathil.
Don’t usually cry in movies, but this one hit me hard in the end. Being a father of a 7 week old, I’d give anything to see her safe. So what Bond did resonated with me so deeply I felt his decision to my core. He only knew his daughter for a day, and has to give that all up so easily? They could’ve quarantined him or something until they engineered a cure. If a virus can be created, then so can it’s cure. Bond saves the world yet again, and can’t even have a proper happy ending with his family. Shit tore me up inside, and still can’t let it go for some reason. He deserved better.
They KILLED the one person the series was about JAMES BOND. How in the hell do you make another James Bond movie after this?? Even after the credits say James Bond will Return. You just don't kill the main character of a series and hope to continue the series. You just replace the character with another actor, same way they have done in the past. I mean WTF?
It was a reboot anyway, it would be way more strange replacing Craig without rebooting it because of how closely tied together his movies are. I just hope they have a good idea for the next reboot. I saw some people suggesting it to be set in the time era that the original novels were set in, that would be awesome.
This movie ended like "Burn Notice" didwith all the most popular quotes and at the end when she says, "Bond, James Bond". It was like in Burn Notice when Phee says, "You will tell him, My name is Michael Westin, I use to be a spy."
The nanobots which infected Bond would be passed on to anyone he had physical contact with. Bond had to die in an explosion so that MI6 would not look and possibly find a body. The heat of the explosion might destroy the nanobots. Either way, if any of his nanobots got out into the public, the nanobots would start traveling the world and eventually get to the mom and daughter which would kill them.
James died like a hero making sure that the poison is destroyed and if he got out he would be targeted by other villans who would want to use his blood as a weapon or study him to try and make the ultimate vaccine that can get rid of any sickness can’t wait to see who they choose as the new bond and what the next movie will be like I hope they keep the high tech era going it’s so cool to see the new stuff they come up with and the new car that James always gets maybe they can do a what if side series like what marvel is doing cause it would be cool to see if they went with Maserati or BMW for the car and if he had a suit with a small armory and lasers for guns
No James Bond should ever end with him dying. Ian Fleming and Sean Connery will be spinning in their grave. I don’t get how there will be another James Bond if he’s dead?
@@rossfowler5208, well, if he's the same Bond then I don't get how he can be 12 years old on 21st January 1983 (see Order of Temporary Guardianship document in Spectre) and be the bond that appears in every Bond since 1962 to 2002. Simple answer: he isn't.
They humanized James Bond that was the big mistake in this movie James Bond has always been a gigolo with a gun. Like a commentor said elsewhere, "I felt Bond deserved a happy ending with his family after everything he's been through… To retire for good would've been a much better ending..." I didn't like the ending at all. He deserved to go off into the sunset with his family, finally knowing peace (not the final kind) after so much hardship and unhappiness.
Kleenex sales are up. However, as Billy Wilder says, the brilliant thing is “to have the hero climb a tree, set the tree on fire, and to bring him back to safety convincingly.” The cheap thing has been to melodramatize stories to push Kleenex sales up.
"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, ever atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."
Explain why he needed to open the blast doors at all. If Bond had left, Safin's base might have survived, but what's left of the island would have no source of food or fresh water. Safin would have starved to death. Major plot hole there.
007 reflectional theories why he might be alive: Growing up I've been a huge die hard 007 bond fan, no point intended with the "dying" part, and a theory hit me after watching this last movie. So, as you may or may not know or have seen the ending ( SPOILER ALERT) shows Bond being blown up by missiles atop a rooftop of the silos on the island. However, I have two theories why Bond may or may not have died. One, is that at the end of the credits we see the infamous line, " Bond will return. " So we know that they will make another Bond movie but we don't know if it will be a re-boot with of course a new 007 James Bond new stories etc. Or two, the name of the title of this last Bond movie "No TIME to die" suggests that Bond maybe still alive at the end. Here's my theory and thoughts related to that. So during the course of the middle of the movie Q gives 007 a new MAGNETIC watch (TIME) which he claims is very strong and Q didn't have time to test it... Now fast forward to 007 not knowingly using the watch to kill the one-eyed bad guy by the watch inadvertently blowing up his electric eye ball. Fast forward again further to the end, my theory is that like title suggests the watch being an unknown level of bonds arsenal MIGHT have, and I know this is a stretch BUT the watch could have done 2 TWO things...one, pushed the deadly biological toxins away from Bonds heart and body somehow and he survived. As such, with regards to the missiles, again a stretch but maybe.. just MAYBE the magnet from the watch pushed the missiles away from Bond and he's alive still. Now, as to why they are toasting to 007 at MI6 head quarters with everyone is to throw off Bonds girl/ baby mama and his daughter because Bond is alive and still an active agent and didn't want to jeopardize their lives, his new families' lives. This way he can keep on doing his 007 Bond duties. Maybe he will reunite again one day with them later. As such, NO TIME ( THE WATCH) TO DIE, in other words, its NOT TIME to die. Now, again these are just my thoughts/ theories. Love to hear what you all think about this.
Prior to Craig the Bond films were standalone stories. Occasionally some continuity appeared but overall no film ever closed the door on Bond the character. A new Bond didn't mean rebooting the character. It meant rebooting the universe to reflect whatever was going on in the real world. It's what makes NTTD problematic.
@@ishi2k8 I know, I wish too. We ll see with the next bond movie what they do with the franchise. But all I know is, "James Bond will return" at the end of NTTD so at least we got that going for us fans. Sad no more D. Craig!
This was a really good movie. I just watched it on a plane. I think the last one I saw was Skyfall, so I missed a movie, but felt like I could keep pace with the story, loved the action and characters (Rami!!!!), and was touched by Bond’s family and the sacrifice he made to keep them safe. Well done 🙏✨
The part that got me… When he has Q patch him over to Madeleine, and he says (I’m paraphrasing), ”My daughter was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen,” while he knows he’s infected and won’t get to live and touch either one of them again… And then goes out in a blaze of glory. Wow… What a powerful way to end his tenure!

When he said "We have all the time in the world" near the beginning, I whispered "oh shit"! My wife said "what"? I told her he can't say that! Any Bond movie fanatic knows the gravity of those words. I told my wife, "this is going to suck, something terrible has to happen". I grew up loving the bond movies, knowing the Connery and Moore films line by line. Craig has surpassed those to guys and become the greatest Bond of them all. I thought the movie was amazing, but still can't beleive the ending. It's like a piece of my childhood died in that cruise missile strike.
Same here, I went in thinking “this is his swan song, he’s either going to be killed or finally retire. Throughout the whole movie I could just feel that his death was inevitable
About James's daughter. In one of the car chases she mentions a 'mosquito'. Then she says the mosquito has friends. Are these nanobots visible to some extent? Or can they be felt? I guess they would not be "nano" and be seen, right? Having come into contact with her Mom she would have the nanobots that killed Blofeld. I just find these mentions of mosquitos very interesting.
I've always viewed 007 movies as an anthology. Stand alone films until Daniel Craig's rendition of James Bond, which had an actual continuity. Each film was a continuation of the previous film carrying the consequences of the previous film. This was the first time a Bond film actually did that. I think if people feel the need to unify the entire franchise, the only to do it is as a multverse. Each movie is an alternate reality, where James Bond is physically a different person/character. That's my two cents.
Lol ain’t no one sad that an avenger died. Bond has been around for over 60 years. MCU is the most overrated media franchise out there (other than Star Wars).

The only thing that could’ve made his death scene more perfect is if right before he is hit with the missile he lit Felix’s cigar that he gave bond earlier in the movie.

Also nano bots are electrical. His emp watch should be able to disable them. The whole movie was one long joke.
Was anything left of him by that point?

how can anyone be excited about a new bond... after killing a character after so many years.. no... the social climate will lose this time, there is no need to replace it, leave it alone.

Directors: "James Bond: No Time To Die"

Regardless of the latest series of bond movies my view of James Bond is the following:
- James Bond is an alias
- All 007 agents receive an alias and the former identity is wiped
- Whoever takes up the mantle of the new 007 moniker James Bond becomes the new James Bond
That way James Bond is forever no matter how often he would die.
Yes! I've said that every time they changed actors.
I want to see Richard Madden play a young James, where the story is about how Bond began, joined MI5, etc like a prequel.

It is a fantastic movie! I hope they don't reboot the franchise, just carry on by recruiting the next 007!
Should've had a final scene where M is vacationing in Italy and sees James having dinner with Selina Kyle.
Lol yeah
Perhaps James Bond is just an alias for their top agent. We have certainly had a lot of them.
This movie ended like "Burn Notice" didwith all the most popular quotes and at the end when she says, "Bond, James Bond". It was like in Burn Notice when Phee says, "You will tell him, My name is Michael Westin, I use to be a spy."
the fact that they didnt have a martini shaken not stirred to honor him makes me feel like they didnt know him
This drink was created for Vesper. It would not be suitable.

I wish your theory was true but I don't think it will be. They actually, properly killed Bond 😢
Needed the credits to collect myself at the end.
He has all the time in the world....... As soon as that song played I felt a lump in my throat
The part that got me… When he has Q patch him over to Madeleine, and he says (I’m paraphrasing), ”My daughter was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen,” while he knows he’s infected and won’t get to live and touch either one of them again…
And then goes out in a blaze of glory.
Wow… What a powerful way to end his tenure!
It still blows my mind to think that this movie is the only time James Bond has died.
One of the best bond movies hands down!! Going to see it again tomorrow! so sad to see Daniel Craig step down as James Bond but he did a remarkable job and got to appreciate what he has done for us!
For my i believe “skyfall” became 1 of my favorite!! But these movie was a beautiful good buy to these James Bond!! I’m glad when I walked out of the theatre people didn’t walk aaww I hate these!! All I saw was people clapping & people crying, good luck beating Daniel Craig’s when they reboot these
She is beautiful because she came from you... Mathilde's Father ❤️❤️❤️
these lines touched my heart ❤️
There’s only one man who can kill James Bond. And that is James Bond
The fact that the movie's called "no time to die I knew he'll die at the end 😭😂
About James's daughter. In one of the car chases she mentions a 'mosquito'. Then she says the mosquito has friends. Are these nanobots visible to some extent? Or can they be felt? I guess they would not be "nano" and be seen, right? Having come into contact with her Mom she would have the nanobots that killed Blofeld. I just find these mentions of mosquitos very interesting.
I was waiting for them to explain that but figured it was a fragment of an alternative path in the script
Girls cried after Titanic
Boys cried after Terminator 2
*Everybody cried after No Time To Die*
Boys also cried after furious 7
I've always viewed 007 movies as an anthology. Stand alone films until Daniel Craig's rendition of James Bond, which had an actual continuity. Each film was a continuation of the previous film carrying the consequences of the previous film. This was the first time a Bond film actually did that. I think if people feel the need to unify the entire franchise, the only to do it is as a multverse. Each movie is an alternate reality, where James Bond is physically a different person/character. That's my two cents.
Not as sad as Iron Man's death, but still emotional.
This was sadder than iron mans death for me. This was the only movie death that made my jaw fall on the floor in a movie theater
@@starlists4752 true
Avengers is piece of crap
Lol ain’t no one sad that an avenger died. Bond has been around for over 60 years. MCU is the most overrated media franchise out there (other than Star Wars).
@@offspringfan1288 this ^^^^^
Watched them all and I went to see this a few days ago, I fell asleep it was too dull, woke up at the end and I'm not interested in watching it again to see the middle parts I missed. Poor job for a brilliant franchise.
No thank you. I don’t watch a James Bond movie to see James Bond die.
007 Skyfall. James Bond: Everyone needs a hobby.
Raoul Silva: What's Your?
James Bond: Resurrection.
