What I really love about Off the Record is that they're dedicated to uplifting members of marginalized communities. As a journalism student, sobrang nakaka-inspire.

Deserved to be recognize!
I am out of words. My mother always reminds me to thank God for giving me complete arms and legs, no allergies and no illnesses because people like Ate Adeline exists. They should not be avoided and judged, but need to be praised because they have unique abilities that even us can't do. Ate Adeline is a living proof of no illness can't stop you from achieving your dreams.
God is awesome, we should be always thankful everyday we wake up at nasa maayos tayo na situation, because others is giving their best kahit na may mga disability sila.
My mom had polio ever since she was a kid, but that didn't stop her in raising me well and providing e good life. Thank you for being an inspiration to many! Stories like this should be heard!
Cheers to your mom as well! Huge respect to her!
People nowadays tend to complain about the littlest of things, but here we see how even though they are physically challenged they rose to the occasion and become an inspiration to everyone.
This is so empowering! And here I am, an able bodied freeloader watching Netflix at 3 AM -_- Kidding aside, I wish to be as optimistic and productive as this dudette. You rock!
She was brave and inclined towards her goal. I can't imagine how much she went through to make it to where she is now. She's a real woman with dedication in her heart, and that's indeed amazing about her.
Yes, it's unfair how the government pours so much of our budget on only the popular sports and athletes, sports like powerlifters and athletes like Adeline get swept under the rug because they don't attract as much money as the others but when it comes down to it, they are truly the ones who represent the values of a Filipino!
Tama!
Hearing about her situation in her early life and having polio as an infant, makes me thankful that medicine has come a long way and we are able to get vaccines now. I'm still glad to hear about Adeline's story! More power to her
It makes me sad knowing that in her early life, she already had polio. I hope this video would be an eye opener to the parents and who are struggling with their disability.
I'm glad you're doing okay now!! More power to you as well, having polio is no joke, growing up with any sort of illness should be taken seriously but at the same time, it's important that we also treat people with disabilities as normal people to make them feel belonged

I so love her story and I'm glad that I came across it. It's not every day you see a person with a disability be a renowned powerlifter! But on the other hand, she also mentioned how the government does not provide for her training which is quite sad. It shows how the government doesn't place value on ALL the sports here in the Philippines despite the sheer amount of atheletes available. More power to you, Adeline!
