This time Fernando Perez focuses in giving advise to Lap Steel style guitarists. Using the right guitar tuning for Indian music. How the tunings work. Nuances and details about the technique in order to progress faster and easier. How to sound more Indian when playing Hindustani raga music on guitar.
Everything can be applied to lap steel guitar types as well as standar slide guitar (when played in vertical position with a bottleneck slide, etc.)

This is great. I've been waiting to watch a video like this. Love playing the Weissenborn. Love Indian music too.
Excellent Jason! You are one of the players I thought about when making the video. 🙂

@@FernandoPerezGuitar much appreciated 🙏
@@Jason.Brayshaw my pleasure always!
@@FernandoPerezGuitar Although what Ive done is tuned my 12-string to CGCGCC and my Weissenborn to CGCGGC only because I was worried that the bottom 5th string would snap, so I went down to G. Also, DADDAD is really good too.
@@Jason.Brayshaw The CGCGCC tuning should be fine in both the Weissenborn (if you are using standard strings gauges for G/A or D/E tuning, etc) as well as in the 12 strings. It does not create more tension, it goes the opposite way, that is down. So no strings should snap or stress your guitar neck.
DADDAD works totally fine but you will get more of the drone strings ringing game with the CGCGCC.
