Thanks for posting this! We’re visiting Morocco in April & there was lots of good info on the square. I was really enjoying the video until your encounter with the candy lady who didn’t want you to take pictures of her. Although you’re in a touristic area overall, during that interaction you are in her personal space & recording her and her food cart. She has every right to not want her picture taken, and as a visitor to her country.. I feel it would have been best to respect her wishes & just put the camera down for a second. You said yourself that she was just in an argument & obviously didn’t want to be on camera in that moment. The guy that was behind her who started saying no pictures, was only defending the old lady’s wishes. He didn’t get aggressive or disrespectful with you at all, still calling you “brother” and simply saying no pictures. Yet, you responded by asking him why he’s there if he doesnt want his picture taken, and telling him to go home. That’s foul bro. For you guys to respond in that way was wrong. Your entire energy was off in that encounter. Saying that they should simply be grateful to even have tourists is an extremely entitled take. It’s not people like him who give Morocco a bad name.. it’s a response like that from you guys, that give tourists a bad name. You’re not entitled to record any & everyone you come into contact with just because it’s a “touristy area”. This is their home, where they live everyday & try to make a living.. they owe you absolutely nothing. If it’s too much for you to simply put your camera down, then it’s YOU that needs to go home champ.
The pastry lady had no issue with them filming. The restaurant promoter jumped into the frame and covered his own face … then started complaining about not to get filmed. A few thoughts from one Chris to another on this and by the way I live in LA and have been to Marrakech numerous times. In fact, I got engaged there to a Moroccan woman in May 2023 and we’re just waiting for our fiancee Visa to be approved so she can move to Southern California. It’s a known fact that the people in Jemaa el Fna square do not like being video taped or having their pictures taken. In fact, I’m shocked that you didn’t encounter that sooner than you did. It is what it is, my man. Oh side note, Shukran (thank you) is pronounced like, “Shuu-Kraaan” 😂
100% agree with you guys at the end! This is the kind of person/people that is destroying our reputation! You did the right thing! I’m so glad you are a happy optimistic person 🤲🏽🤲🏽 you understand it only a few of them thank Allah for that ! What they do is also against our religion! Good morning Chris . Thx for the videos. I learned from a friend of mine who has been visiting Morocco for years that many street workers who work in tourism work under great pressure from shop owners to attract customers. So you find them running after the customer everywhere to earn a living. Their wages are taken from the shop owners at a low rate in exchange for bringing in a large number, conditional on the number of customers. I understand the situation and I will know how to deal with them when I visit Morocco and Tunisia.
@@Travelwithchris bro, we just watched the whole video again! Don't let that kind of people ruin your vibe... there are douchebags everywhere unfortunately. A place like Morocco would probably be nothing without tourism, but some are not smart enough to appreciate it. I remember watching a lot of your videos when I was in playa Del Carmen and you were there at the same time and it was funny because I ate at some of the places you did as well to, then what was funny is that the time that you put out the videos on Thailand my wife and I had just left so you were going to some of the same spots we were proud of you man maybe we’ll see you on one of our travels, and if you ever come to Vegas let us know.
You and glady are Rockstars and God bless both you guys
Take your time man. Enjoy your soup, there's no hurry. I was enjoying the video of you both.
Thanks so much bro
Looks beautiful. Definitely on my bucket list to get out here.
Welcome to Morocco bro . I hope you enjoy every second here. Peace
The live music started at the right time when he was making your cappuccino 😂 Wow the nightlife vibe looks great. 😃
The soup is called harira. It's a famous morocan soup
Thanks! 🙏🏻
We like to be kind and warm not that kind off attitude!!
Awesome video once again Chris. I was here with my fam about 15 years ago, still looks the same. Makes me want to go back there.
Remember eating the best bread and brains there it was the tastiest thing ever 🤣 yes brains! Haha. You might have to try it out. Take care brother God bless
I m Moroccan and brain is my favourite....Welcome back
I can't wait to try a juice. Going in October 😍
I am a Morrocan and I am so sorry about the last guy who damaged your tour he was arguing about taking pictures of him just because he was jealous because you bought cookies from the lady and not taking anything from his own shop and these rude people trying to give a bad image of Morocco and you should complain about their rude behavior to tourist police don't be kind to these idiots, Moroccan people are the most welcoming people in the world if you were here in Agadir I would invite you to our house for dinner or lunch and I would take you for a tour around our area for free or even take you to my hometown Tiznit the silver city again for free, we should be nice to our guests and treat them in a very good way cuz we must be good representatives of our country 🇲🇦❤️ best regards 💪👏
That dude in white shirt was such a gem , i would adopt him❤😀
That’s me 😂🤝🏼🥲

Chris, that’s not an ostrich that’s a peacock 🦚 and that’s not a duck that’s a chick 🐣 🤣🤣🤣
Love your attitude! Been travelling for fifteen years this coming January and understand that 5hitty vibe all too well.
Man im in the US and I would pay 10 times the price of moroco if I could get a bucket full of those snails (babouch)...my favorite
Welkom
مراكش أكثر مدينة سياحية في العالم🇲🇦❤️
Thanks for watching!
Chris you are the new, harald baldr 100%
Good morning Chris . Thx for the videos. I learned from a friend of mine who has been visiting Morocco for years that many street workers who work in tourism work under great pressure from shop owners to attract customers. So you find them running after the customer everywhere to earn a living. Their wages are taken from the shop owners at a low rate in exchange for bringing in a large number, conditional on the number of customers. I understand the situation and I will know how to deal with them when I visit Morocco and Tunisia.
I guess it’s time to start supporting Argentina broooo! 🏆🏆🇦🇷🇦🇷
Yes ahahaha! 🙏🏻💪🏻
@@Travelwithchris bro, we just watched the whole video again! Don't let that kind of people ruin your vibe... there are douchebags everywhere unfortunately. A place like Morocco would probably be nothing without tourism, but some are not smart enough to appreciate it. Say to Gladys: Tranquila, no te pongas nerviosa... deja al estupido con su estupidez jajaja. Stay positive you guys!
It is unacceptable that the vendor grab you and Gladys to buy their sales. I am glad that you were still able to show the good sides of people and Morocco.
Im not guna lie, surely marrakech cant be that bad, all i see is negative content from other vloggers, but this guy shows an insight to the positive side, keep up the good work sir
Sorry this is a little negative but i think it helps that he looks arabic.
Its still a beautiful place but western looking people must be prepared for Marrakech. A first timer is maby better off in Tanger.
@@Margriet101 ive recently been there spent 1week with my wife and two young kids, unbelievable how safe i felt during the day and at night! Having visited many countries never felt this welcomed before. Defo got nothing todo with him looking like a morrocan, in my opinion he dont! I think white people should stick to visiting dull countries like spain and france if theyre not into getting with the culture and vibe on countries that are outside of europe and america. This is a touristic place so like every other touristic place you go you have to bargain and negotiate on prices.
Great to view another great video of Chris and sister Gladys travels..Be Safe.

The soup is called HARIRA it’s very delicious and normally is eating during Ramadan time
The soup called "hrira hamda" wich means the sour soup because of the tomato taste in it, and for snails, you would like the soup of it if you tried it , it's the water where the snails were boiled with lots of different herbs , it's very tasty and fresh, also not all of us, as Moroccans, like to eat snails but we do like that soup.
it named harira, that is it. nobody name it harira hameda, why you like to make drama and shit.
Just harira men where do you got hamda from
Hi bro the soup name is HRira hamda it's very famous in morrocco especially in the holly ramdan
Welcome to your second country, Morocco. Moroccans are one of the kindest and most generous peoples. At least the Moroccan people are not racist like the Turks or the French. So do not insult all Moroccans because only someone spoke in a tactless way. In any country you find bad and good people ,but without emotion you will not find nicer people than Moroccans .in the arab world .proud to be morrocan 🇲🇦🫡
I will be traveling to this “red city” in the next two weeks! 😊
Hope you enjoy it!
Marrakech is a night 🌙 life
It's amazingly 👏
Also Moroccan people🌻 ..have a Natural Talent For Languages.🌹🥀.They Love to Communicate and pick up Other Peoples Languages... 💃🦸
Much love from Morocco(Taroudant)exactly ❤️🇲🇦

Marrakech and Morocco in general is a tourist country, and I am happy because you are in Morocco. I think that person is a backward and immoral person. There are wonderful people in Marrakech. Do not change your idea because of some few people. Welcome to Morocco.
