    How much of a noticable difference in power with the turbo? Also hows the fuel economy now?

    • @TKhawk01
      @TKhawk01  10 лет назад +2

      There was a very nice bump in power, I don't really drive it on the road much any more so I don't know about the fuel economy.

      The 6.2L in the CUCV is a J Code with 155 HP.Using a Banks Turbo could jump it to 215 HP.

      Almost double torque. So you can easily feel but my m1008 still no turbo. I have to go that way

    The driver is being extra careful and doesn't want the wheels to spin. In modern cars this is the job of traction control.

    • @Wingnut353
      @Wingnut353 4 года назад +1

      Uh... no, this has locked up drive train, so even if something slips it isn't going to loose traction everywhere else.

    • @Slim_Slid

      You literally have no idea what you are talking about buddy.Nothing at all to do with traction control...And this is a military truck.

      It was a 1986. 6.2l diesel j series. I bolted on a turbo from a 93 3/4 ton and turned up the fuel a little.

      Terrence Kelley and still don’t have 175 hp

      @@Wanous-hv7zo You again? Is it a every day occurrance in your life to always talk shit about 6.2L's because you have nothing better to do? The J Code 6.2L in the CUCV and HMMWV is 155 HP stock,with a turbo,you would be seeing 215 HP.

  • @optimusprimer4392

    Seems like the turbo wouldn't be too good for this kind of low RPM stuff

    Are all military diesel blazers turboed?

    • @TKhawk01
      @TKhawk01  10 лет назад

      No, I pulled the turbo and manifolds off of a 93 2500. They bolted right on, then I ran some oil lines and turned up the fuel.

    • @MisterFuturtastic
      @MisterFuturtastic 10 лет назад

      Cool thanks. I have a old diesel Blazer myself. I want to figure out if it's in decent condition and if it is then I plan on putting a turbo on it.

    • @Wanous-hv7zo
      @Wanous-hv7zo 4 года назад

      MisterFuturtastic Don’t waste your time and money it still won’t have no power. You can put a 305 with a flat cam in it and have more power than a 6.2 with a turbo on it
