Whales Surrounded our Boat!

- After 10 beautiful days in Martha's Vineyard we head further north to Provincetown via the Cape Cod canal. It is our first time traveling under bridges and through a canal so we were all really excited for the experience. Not long after arriving in Provincetown we are forced to leave our mooring ball to escape the horrible smell coming from the nearby breakwall... The move ends up being the best decision we made because it gets us up close and personal to whales, seals and even a coywolf! We went to Provincetown for the fun and scenic town and ended up feeling like we were staying at a ocean safari. I NEVER thought a whale would get that close to our boat...
Your dad has obviously done very well for himself, and good luck to him. How much he paid for the boat is irrelevant to the adventure. Love the videos and really looking forward to exciting stuff ahead, like you said at the beginning.... if not now, when? Thanks for the journey so far, from the UK
Welcome! Glad you found our channel and are enjoying the videos so far :) and yes he worked long and hard his whole life to make his dream possible, I’m so happy for him! And yes, never wait for tomorrow!!
i just started watching your videos and i love them keep them coming
I’m glad you found our channel and enjoy the adventures! One just dropped today and more are on the way!
"Is that a puppy?" hahaha TJ! I think it's a coyote, but I'm not sure. your experiences look AMAZING!!
Lol that boy I swear, he was trying to call it over to us! I was ready to jump in the water to swim away from it if it came any closer hahah
Coyote
Welcome to MY WORLD!
PTown is right next to Truro, my town. That beach where you landed is where we all watch 4th of July Fireworks from. OMG! that FARM stand. IS RIGHT BEHIND THE HOUSE.
Hahahaha, the cormorants SMELL NASTY all the time. When you walked out that rock jetty, to Long Point, that's the part of Ptown some of those houses were moved from. Those whales were Humpback, and the seals are part of a really large group. Best to avoid them.
Long Point Light. Or Wood End... depends on which. Coyote, btw.
Love your vlog, and I'm quite fascinated by this different form of travel on trawler-style boats. Do you ever find yourselves wishing the Encore went faster or is the limited speed integral to the experience?
I’m so glad you are enjoying the videos, and it is very different getting used to cruising at slow speeds. Yes, sometimes (aka in bad weather) I do wish that we went faster just to get out of it, but the nice part is that being underway isn’t exhausting. We can shower, cook, nap, and go about a fairly normal day while cruising so cruising days aren’t lost days spent crashing through the waves. My dads last boat was a sport fishing boat so we know all about that lol
@@adventures Really appreciate the insightful answer! Only on the very flattest of seas is a 25 kt hour-plus journey really enjoyable. Wishing you guys the best cruising, and hoping you keep up the great videos
Just found your channel through Aboard Mermaid Monster. If you ever come back to P-Town get a mooring ball from Flyers. MUCH more affordable and right next to P-Town Marina.
Very good to know! We will definitely keep that in mind! We really enjoyed p-Town, a fun town with some awesome wildlife. And glad you found us :)
Love the whales
It was such an incredible experience! So glad we got to see you while you were in Florida ❤️ love you xoxo
LMAO yeah wonder why they attack you.... You see em hunting there and go into the feasting area lmao Seal "That IS MY FOOD DAMMMMMIIIT MOVE"
Yeah I will not deny that was not my smartest moment, I also thought I was staying further back and then all of a sudden i was right in the middle of them 😬 won’t do that again!!
P town can be an interesting place 😅
Haha yes it can, and so cool with all of the wildlife!!
How much did your dad buy the boat and can u do a tour video please
He is the first owner and had it built, and yes we will do a boat tour soon!
Don't they make sumthin you spray on the potty pad to encourage its use?
They make a bunch of stuff and I bought it all! Lol the spray, the pheromone yellow fire hydrant, Tj peed on it, we put his poop on it. It took a while but now thankfully he uses it with ease all by himself. For a while though it was tough
@@adventures Worse than a two-year-old...
It was like potty training all over again, but even harder than the first time lol 😆
coyote
Coyote!!
That’s good to know that’s what it was! We couldn’t decide
@@adventures luckily your pup wasn’t with you on that adventure. Would’ve been a sad day
Oh TJ never would have let anything happen to camo, that dog would be up over his head in the air if it came down to it. But very happy we didn’t have to get to that point
@@adventures pity the poor coyote if he messed with TJ!
Especially if it messed with camo, it would have gone downnnn lol
Enjoyed the video but have to add a caution....Do not mingle with seals again! They attract white sharks, so don't go near them. Period.
Ahhh very good point I hadn’t thought of that, but that makes perfect sense!
