Programme? They’ve played a few times and I’ve been lucky to go twice! And once when it was sold out but they for some reason let me in without paying since a few songs were left. Didn’t have to watch from outside the shop anymore lol.
This woman speaks for me... I was late to the turnstile party. 47 years old and haven't fallen in love with a band like this since I saw Deftones at cactus club before adrenaline came out. It has 100% been because of the live shows. Mostly the 2014-2015 stuff online. The connection they have with fans is like nothing I have seen before. They have the best drummer in hardcore by a loooongshot, Franz is FULL of energy and the guitar riffs on the early stuff is just heavy AF. What more can anyone ask for?
Being an old hardcore musician these guys, when they got on the scene, after TUI was a big deal to everyone and they haven’t missed, not a bit. They’ve changed hardcore music forever, whether that’s their genre now I’m not the one to make that call. But ‘Glow On’ will forever be a staple in my home, as is all of their work. Just a unique band.
The demo was awesome, but I remember when Step To Rhythm came out specifically, it just changed shit in hardcore. They had really settled into their sound on that release, and it was so damn different and refreshing. I remember seeing them in tiny ass places with no stage and knowing they could really break through.
Reiterating the fact that I haven’t fallen in love with a band like this in a long time. Just saw them twice in a row in Denver earlier this week (first time hearing them and absolutely falling in love with Brandon) worth every single penny 😭
Agree with your sentiment, Nicole... Turnstile is the first band in decades who's music I've fallen in love with. I spent 10 years living in the DC area and left shortly before they formed. I was also more focused on exploring other genres at the time, but... thanks to their appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers in early 2022, I became aware of them and within the first 45 seconds of hearing them perform Mystery, I was hooked. I have since explored the rest of their music and really love it, but my favorites are all on Glow On (Blackout, Holiday, Mystery, and TLC). It's tapping into my musical roots (I grew up listening to rock, metal) and the like and really connect to the raw energy of it all... and no member of the band shows up muted-all have full presence! The Production on Glow On is also an important ingredient in that connection (I always liked punk and hardcore but always felt like it would be so much better if the soundscape was richer and the mix spanned the full spectrum). Just saw them in Denver at the Gothic on April 25th and they did not disappoint!
I‘m new to turnstile, didn’t payed attention to HC for a long time. However, this Band is amazing and Glow on is one of the best records I heard in many years. It’s like a perfect pop record and at the some time it isn’t pop at all, love the echo of hardcore all over it, this is so forward thinking, a complete thought, amazing.
Not even close. They just sound like a ripoff of 90s metal bands who did it much better, like Helmet, just to name one. Funny that kids think this is a new sound lol
@@antonigumua6548 LMAO you must be a kid who’s never heard any music older than 2010. These guys are alright but it’s nothing new. They sound like a ripoff of 90s alt metal. Go listen to some of the originals

I played in a band up in Bmore back in the late 90's into the early '00's so it's great to see a band from Bmore getting this much love,...and well deserved.

They 100% deserve the sudden popularity. All of them have been at work for so long and really nailed it with the 90's style hardcore that was the most fun time for hardcore. I hope people research the bands that influenced them and all those bands benefit from this 90's resurgence.
You’ve been missing out. Theyve actually been playing a mix of music for the past few years, just depends on what time of day you listen. This happened after Kevin and Bean left because of change in management, but management was slowly trying to transition. This was from an old article I read years ago now. Not sure about what they play now because I WFH so don’t listen to the radio on drives much anymore, but there was def a change for a while.
@@nobetter7747 true. I think Monday or tuesday nights they have emo night? But like with late 90s emo bands like The Get Up Kids and Saves the day, not the “emonite” MCR bands.
