The army comp rules are 1 2 4 +1. The +1 is an extra peltast/javie/skirm cav/agrianian (not sling or archer) :)

I think that single hole in the south wall was so that whole section of wall could be used by the attackers archers and the only way up is the west side where the attackers infantry have already occupied. Makes it impossible for their archers to get stormed as long as infantry covers the ground entrance.
as someone who has been here since the beginning (on a different account) I love to see you play Siege battles, especially in Rome 2 keep up the amazing vids
Very clever move from attackers right at the begining and even Apollo missed it. They breached two sides of the wall and put archers on the wall. So defenders had no way to reach them through the walls! Great way to secure your archers.
Saw it too really tricky move which won them the battle for the gate

That’s a really cool tactic from Gorilla tactics, the double column effect. They used the column to push forward and get the defensive team to wrap around the unit that attacked, and then pulled the second column back to use the pile to fire into the sides of the heavy infantry that normally would have the advantage by enveloping. That was some BIG Brain play!

It would have been useful to have at least 1 cav unit for the defenders with the size of the map. They could have gotten a few flanking charges in.

The defenders lost when they didn't use their number advantage to push harder in the south by the colisseum. They could've boxed in the Roman western front and put some defense on the walls. The flank would've stalled all forward momentum and even shifted the balance of power

Really would like you to do a bit on Dominions 5, amazing game albeit its not a pretty game or look like much on its steam page. But damn its a top 5 game for me. Fair warning it does have a learning curve but still has a losing is fun kind of feel. Its a 4x grand strat will give some TW vibes and if you love the ancient mythos and magic you cant miss out on it.

as someone who plays only old tw games such as medieval 2 and rome 1, when i saw those moving pyramids that crushed walls i couldn't stop laughing
One was built historically but it was a one time event. They should have been limited in Rome II to one faction or at least cost a lot of money to bring
