Honestly loving this series, didn't realise there was a £10,000 barrier to enter the campaign, so series has also been weirdly educational

@Robin Truby What would the extra costs to tax payer be though? Some extra ink to print it all on the ballot paper? Having it free would obviously have its logistical problems but these barriers to entry likely cause more harm than good

@Robin Truby trolls is one thing but this just shows you need money to become something. Our current politicians aren’t normal people, they most likely came from privileged family’s. not exactly “fair” is it? Equality is the issue

@@heviutza Laurence Fox knows he has near zero chance of actually winning the race. The point is to bring attention to his positions (pro free speech, anti lockdown, etc.) and spur discussion, so in that regard the Foshmeister's campaign helps since, as they say, all publicity is good publicity.

Max you should tell people that in London you get TWO votes for Mayor: first and second choice. So people could put you as their first choice, and someone else as their second, therefore not wasting* their vote.
* I don't consider it wasting, but some will
in all fairness he seems so clued on and actually has some well thought out policies

“The Mayor of London is elected using the Supplementary Vote system. You make a first and second choice when you vote. If no candidate gets more than 50% of the first choice votes, all except the top 2 candidates are eliminated.”

The RUclips algorithm is ridiculous. A channel like this should be getting tons of subs and views. I cannot believe that channels which you see people making sandwiches and ice cream get 50k subs and millions views everyday.

No matter how much time you put into an idea, the general public will not care. All they care about is digestible sensationalism, hence a very insouciant yet infectious idea will always propagate much more efficaciously than an endeavour in long-term passionate effort.
It's a sad truth but that's how the market operates. Marketability and sincerity are not mutually inclusive traits.

I have watched those types of channels just as much as I have Max Fosh. The reason they succeed, like you said, is because of the algorithm. The algorithm caters towards shorts nowadays to compete against tiktok. Def wouldn’t rate them on the same quality of content yet yt doesn’t care. :/

The last 30 days he's got 29k (Almost an 8% growth from where he was at the start of those 30 days), and since the start of 2021 is in probably his most successful growth period he's had as a channel.
