Do you (or anyone else with a fix) have a vid showing you putting gas into the car before & after the fix? I have a Fiat 500 Pop 2012 with the same problem and my mechanic's fix is $240.00.
The tan retainer clips on the incoming line are likely to be about as flexible as a potato chip and snap to bits if your car is more than a few years old. If this does happen don't bother trying to find a replacement. Just thread a small zip tie through the retainer housing before attaching to the box, make sure to slide the hose end past the raised retaining ring, and zip that sucker down. It will probably last longer than the designed-to-fail original clip.
What codes would come up . Because I have a 2013 abarth that has had the check engine light come on twice for what j thought was gas cap . But now I broke the o2 wiring and it melted o2 and cause soo many codes 0043,141 ,458 ,wastegate etc,I replaced fuse 11 and 17, replaced o2 sensor and unhooked battery but there are still a bunch of codes coming up . I'm wondering if I should check the ECU now?
Yes actually it does have tow. The good news is that most of thte imte it is just the sensor that is failed. We now have just the sensor and here is a link amzn.to/3DvIb5y
If you can shake bits of charcoal from the canister the internal screen has failed, and the canister must be replaced or opened up and remove all charcoal and resealed. Failure to do either action will result in vapor lines plugging up with charcoal.
Doesn't this guy reply to any of these comments? Im think of just replacing the ESIM. And those hoses come off easier if you just remove first clip, and PUSH on the other one in the middle. this opens the clip up..
There's also the vent hose, maybe something got in there and clogged it up. To replace that hose will require removing the wheel well, which also requires removing the wheel, but the well is easy to remove since it just screws on aside from one plastic pop-in retainer at the bottom-front. Just plan on doing it up front and it adds a total of maybe 15 minutes to the whole service.
I'm having the same issue, the fiat dealership told me I need to replace the entire gas tank and fuel pump. That sounds ridiculous. Any comments from anybody on that
Now you can replace the sensor only.

Literally just broke mine. Great save
Does this mean the pump keeps clicking off while fueling? Does changing this part fix the problem?

There’s another item labeled a charcoal canister, it appears to be behind the fender liner in the right rear. This car has 2 canisters??

Why replace the whole canister and not just the ESIM?
The sensor only was not available until recently. We are now able to source it. amzn.to/3DvIb5y

So a good thing is that now just the sensor is available, and you don't have to replace the entire canister. Here is a link to it: amzn.to/3DvIb5y
If I have the same problems as the customer and decide not to replace it. Will it have any negative effect on my vehicle in the long run?
Did you fix the problem? or are you still driving the car like that? im having the same issue.
You are a change pieces 👍
Ok, I replaced it, and it worked. Now, the question is why does the gas pump didn't stop when the tank was full?
Very helpful, thanks!
do you have to remove the wheel well liners? or is this pretty direct access?
No need to remove wheel liners. This is directly under the car, next to the rear diffuser, therefore it's exposed.
I think I have the same problem with when I put gas on my car the don’t start quick
You say your replacing the cannister because "this valve being the suspect of not venting correctly". Does the valve have a name?
I replaced canister but still did not solve problem filling gas tank.

Purge valve as well, behind the intake
Do u have to empty the gas tank
No

Hello, did you fix the problem? did you replace the charcoal canister? im having the same issue.
A new part jsut came out that allows replacement of just the failed sensor, here is a link to it: amzn.to/3DvIb5y
You could buy the valve for 15.
