Hurricane Ian downgraded to Category 1, track shifts east

- Hurricane Ian was significantly weaker late Wednesday compared to when it made landfall earlier in the day. The center of Hurricane Ian was located about 70 miles southwest of Orlando at 11 p.m. on Wednesday. The storm had decreased in strength, and downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 90 mph. Ian continues to move northeast at 8 mph.

Same here. We had a few flickers throughout the day and internet was intermittent at best. But considering we're getting hit by the eye wall and we've only lost a fence panel and some small tree limbs dropped on the roof, we're doing pretty good.

I'm in Davenport in a hotel close to I-4 exit and its scary as of right now. It's 12:46 AM right now. Winds are very strong. I still have electricity which is amazing!!

I’m in Kissimmee/ Orlando and just woke up to the sound and no electricity. The scariest thing right now is hearing everything but not being able to see any of it through the window. I don’t know how much water is outside of our hotel door.
Texas is thinking and praying for y'all. This weatherman, Brooks was with us in Houston during Hurricane Harvey. He's really good! Nice to see him again.

I was just down in Daytona my original check out day was Friday so I moved it back to Thursday but after yesterday I went ahead and moved it back and I checked out this morning I’m glad I did I had very little rain and the weather was not bad at all I’m back home now just south of Atlanta.

They will literally die but okay. I understand not liking sea world in the capacity that wild animals belong in the wild but most of the animals that permanently reside there now are rescues that wouldn’t survive in the ocean.
Florida got really lucky hurricane Dorian Florida was deathly in the past but this one was a monster as well
