Een valpijpschip installeert rotsblokken op pijpleidingen en andere onderzeese structuren. Door een onderwaterrobot (ROV) aan het einde van de valpijp kunnen we tot op enkele centimeters nauwkeurig rotsen installeren op een diepte tot 2.000 meter.
Een zijsteenstorter bouwt in ondiepe wateren rotsbermen en installeert rotsbescherming bovenop onderzeese installaties zoals pijpleidingen. De rotsblokken worden zijdelings overboord geduwd, maar door een hellende valpijp kan dit schip ook onder vaste structuren rotsblokken installeren.#willybauwens #shipspotting
A fall pipe vessel installs boulders onto pipelines and other subsea structures. Using an underwater robot (ROV) at the end of the fall pipe, we can install rocks with accuracy of a few centimeters at a depth of up to 2,000 meters.
A side rock dumper builds rock berms in shallow waters and installs rock protection on top of subsea installations such as pipelines. The boulders are pushed overboard
