The tank in GTA SA didn't blow up because of the RPG blast, it catches on fire. Tanks in older GTA has the Bulletproof, Explosion-proof, and collision-proof flag set on them, but not fireproof
Actually, tanks in 3D Era games don’t have the collision proof or the melee proof. Try colliding with some building and hitting with some melee weapon, and you can see tanks deform and get damaged (vehicles don’t deform if they have the proofs).
Actually I have seen tanks blast in gta vc. In one of the missions, if you fail to deliver tank, then the tank will explode. Plus in gta 3, in 1 mission, we were able to destroy a tank parked in Phil Cassidy 's barracks.
A little something. In GTA V the tanks turret will rotate only when it's not in use if it is use by a player or NPC it won't rotate uncontrollably. And it takes 3-4 tank shots to destroy a tank.
I think with GTA 3 and vice city it was an oversight in the code. Making it so explosions don't effect the tank so you don't blow yourself up, but didn't just apply it to your own explosions.

I was standing at the end of the ramp of the ship, located at Viceport (where there is a Rampage too, and a Pill under the ramp), and had 6 Star wanted level I was having some fun, and a tank got stuck on the stairs of the building on the right-front. It was constantly colliding with the wall, while I was destroying cars. After a while, the Tank picked up fire, and exploded :) That was the time, I got to know that vehicles get damage Programmatically.
The tank in gta sa can take infinite rockets too. It caught fire because it's not fire resistant. The rockets make fire on the ground on impact and the tank catches fire.
Hey , i like your videos but did you know that the San Andreas Tank are more durable, they just blew after two rockets cause the headlight caught on fire , which inturn kept damaging it infinitely. This is a great attention to detail if a vehicle 's headlight catches fire then it keeps damaging the engine 👍
The tanks in gta 3,vice city and san andreas are made out of nokia so they cannot be destroyed, san andreas however can be destroyed only with fire weapons such as the flamethrower and molotov, but in 3 and vice city the only hope to destroy it is to flip it over

Reality: Tank shells will either penerate the Tank Armor or Ricochet depending where the shell hit, most of the tanks here we're taking direct hits in the side so meaning, the shell should have penetrated by now either disabling the tank or completely destroying it, it would make sense that the shells wont do anything if it was being fired at the front since it would most likely ricochet the shell but if it was fired from the side or behind the engine where it's vulnerable, it would have destroyed the tank, either by exploding shells inside the tank or hitting the engine then exploding the fuel tank
3:20 you measured this one incorrectly, tanks has more hp than other vehicles in GTA SA. However, you can still kill them with RPG rockets (it will take sometime tho)
in gta 5 shooting the front of the tank takes 6 shots and shooting the back area where the engine is takes 4. gta vc, III and San Andreas tanks are immune to explosions. gta sa tanks explode from the fiery residue left from the explosion of the rpg. gta 3 and vc tanks can be destroyed with a flamethrower or several molotovs. gta 4 I've no idea.

You can explode tank in GTA 3 and Vice City after, like, 100, or so, shots. I don't actually remember how many it takes, but when i played those games back in the days, it took me that many shots to explode a tank in GTA 3 and Vice City. All tho it takes too damn long.
Misinfo in the video: GTA SA tanks do not blow up after 2 RPGs, it was the fire that created when the rpg blew. Because of the fire, the tank got damaged then it blast. But RPGs can't destroy a GTA SA tank. Interesting fact is that if you use fire weapons like molotovs or flame thrower then the tank takes damage and blows up.
in Gta SA, the tank destroyed by the fire... not the damage from rocket tank also get destroy by Hit/Ram another vehicle too (you can clearly know it when CJ start insult people hit his tank)
One thing to notice in sanandreas is that when you fire with tank, it make a reverse effect after fire which move back the tank slightly which is noticable in real life.

My tank in OG Vice City once got exploded from TOO MUCH DAMAGE. But it needed 1-1,5 hour of police chase with a BUNCH of explosions.
