As some one who grew up in the midwest who felt like a disenfranchised teen turning to the National Socialist Movement for a brief period, how he describes the culture the punk clashes within music aesthetics etc. (I was shocked to see it come out through many synthwave bands during lockdown. Ended up in a virtual clash with an artist Inreally liked), I've lived it. I wish this was just over intellectualism but I can attest how he describes it is exactly how it happens it's not as in your face as you would ever think. How do you think a nation went along with 6 million murders?

This man justifies the arbitrary silencing of certain people whose views he does not agree with. He puts himself, and those who mirror his personal views, in a supposedly righteous position of determining what speech and what opinions are unsafe, and further grants to himself and to people he agrees with the right and responsibility to take forceful action outside of law against those he disagrees with. Arriving at a determination of what is fascist speech and who is a dangerous fascist is a very arbitrary and subjective process. During some public events Antifa advocates have physically attacked people who simply criticized them or who otherwise disagreed with them. You don't have to be a white supremacist or a neo-Nazi to get attacked by Antifa. In Portland Antifa thugs attacked a group of pro-Trump supporters who were wearing "Make America Great" hats. Mark Bray advocates the forcible suppression of basic human rights of free speech and peaceable assembly on an entirely subjective basis. This formula, if widely implemented, will lead to civil war. Civil war apparently is what Bray hopes will occur. Bray and Antifa are every bit as dangerous to human society as the white supremacists and Nazi admirers they oppose. That Dartmouth college actually employs Mark Bray is a travesty.
No shit that's the point? A civil war is the only fair way to violently defeat an opposing ideology, and unfortunately, a second civil war is long overdue in this country.
