He thinks Mode 7's simple background trick is arcade quality sprite scaling and rotation , therefore I can never take another opinion of his seriously.. Nobody can be wrong on the internet, especially about an important subject like games from 3 decades ago.

Thank you so much for having me on! The dedication that goes into making a video this long and with such a diverse range of games discussed is super impressive!
Great video. Respectful opinions for sure. My top 3 would be Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, and Terranigma. Also, Kirby's Dream Course is amazing, I hope you've played multiplayer.
Thanks again for having me on, Jason, it was a lot of fun digging down into the history of the Pocky series and offering my own spin on it. To show my appreciation, I've got four comments here for the price of one, take your pick: 1) Awesome work writing through this monster of a project without defaulting to any handwavey cliches, this is your video from front to back. 2) Sounds like you went down the exact trajectory I did post-Super Metroid. Every Metroid-adjacent game I've played since is just lining up to be knocked down by the shadow of that one. 3) Congratulations to Kirby's Dream Course for cracking a Top 10 for the first time in human history. You've earned it. 4) Pac-Man 2, huh
@@JasonGravesPoser Film Cow played Pac-Man 2 on Genesis. He seemed to think it’s better but it ain’t. The music is actually OK. In fact, NAMCO were really good at FM. But it’s a bit of a scrappy port overall.
Yes, that was almost exactly how Superman died in the comics. Except Doomsday beat up the rest of the Justice League first with one arm literally tied behind his back lol
Well done. Your list is unique to you, and was never predictable. It stands out against the other 900 "Top SNES Games" lists in that it doesn't make the same tired points about the same tired games. You brought something new to the table - even if it was Pac-Man 2: Electric Boogaloo.
So glad to see Uncharted Waters was on the list. When I didn't see it before the top 10 I already planned to mention you might like it. What a great game
Phenomenal job with this one Jason! Having a Top 100 of both NES and SNES games is one heck of a series and I'm glad you ultimately place things where YOU think they belong. Keep up the momentum, the growth is REAL, and thanks again for letting me be a part of this and rep a game that means a lot to me! Excited for more ⭐
Can't believe I bought SkyBlazer for 10$ at Zellers in 2000... sadly sold it. Cuz now it's 250$. To think I had it brand new in box in the deals section and played the heck outta it. Reminded me of Kick Master on NES !! Discovered the secret passages across the game and the last boss stands as quite a test of willpower.
alright i did it i made it to the end. it took me 3 nights but i enjoyed every moment of it. my final notes after 2 previous posts: 1) I love that recap music video you did.... masterful editing of the games jumping around to the beat. i wish this was an equalizer plugin i can use lol. You should release it as a separate video. and 2) I am a little dissapointed by how little you had to say about your #1 pick. I know you have a full review video on it, which i watched a month or so ago, which is great btw and made me commit to getting a translated cart to play. But after how much positive stuff you had to say about Chrono Trigger, i was expecting to hear a concise pitch as to why your #1 is so great (not saying the game name as to not spoil it to whoever is reading this in the future). I know i will go back and rewatch your 40+ min review on it just to recontextualize your rating here but it would've been nice to get a few minutes in this video describing all that is magical about it here. ANYWAY. Great video, A+ effort, fun presentation and guest spots, i loved the personal on camera touches while focusing on the games and showing footage - the video always felt "right" and the surprises were excellent. i definitely disagree with a chunk of the list but that is irrelevant, it was great to hear your thoughts on each game and made me consider my own choices and gave me quite a few games to give a chance to or a 2nd look. Thanks for your time, this was a blast. Good luck with everything, Cheers.
i don't think i've ever even heard of pacman 2 but the fact you put it at 12 AND above zelda is HILARIOUS. this channel has turned out to be an amazing sub. so glad i found it.
Super excited for this one 😊. The first video I watched of yours was the top 100 nes games. Watched it all and dug it and then subscribed to checked out the rest of your stuff. I'm even in your patrion ❤. Looking forward to it 🎮
I loved the list. I watched the NES top 100 list a year ago and just recently checked out your every SNES RPGs to see which classic RPGs to play. Your videos are really helpful in seeing what classic games to play. Now I want to see every NES RPG, because I am having trouble making a list for playing those, and it’s hard to parse out that system to make this complete. Doesn’t really matter if you do so, but I would love if someone else reviewed some NES or Famicom RPGs. Keep it up, and good luck with RUclips, you deserve all of the success. Also would be funny to have “every Master System RPG” and just make one video because you’ve already played Phantasy Star which is the one of like two Master System RPGs.
I started watching this piecemeal throughout the week on work breaks and I have to say, it's been a real journey. While I don't agree with every choice, I was entertained, and I really like your comical timing. Thanks for sharing your top 100!!
Just finished it and this was a very well done video! When it comes to these types of lists it's not about what we (the viewer) agree or disagree with, but whether the list's creator put some genuine thought and care into their choices. You most certainly did just that. Subbed!
There are quite a few good games that arent on this list, but I guess you can’t mention them all. And the guy put Pac Man 2 above Zelda, what can you expect? lol
3 of my top 5 all-time favorite games are SNES: Mario RPG, Super Metroid, and DKC2. Yoshi's Island and Mario World are also easily in the top 10. Great list! You're way more into RPGs than I ever was, which is weird because SMRPG is my favorite game of all time. Also yes, Pac-Man 2 is a hilarious game.
Chrono Tirgger was so ahead of its time with its design, that sometimes it feels like we haven't even reach the time in which chrono trigger would feel contemporary. Which is fitting for a game about time travel. I mean it is an rpg... with no filler, no grinding, no random encounters and no extra dimension where fights take place in, every fight takes place right where you found it, in fact every single encounter in the game is individually designed and purposefully put into a specific location, none of them are just repeated encounters. Like... who does that? I thought the point of the rpg was making simplistic content so that you can build a lot of it quicker and not have a tremendously high budget. Well not for chrono trigger. Happy to see it in a fitting place, it should never be lower than third place. I am glad to get to see other people that love it as much as I do and that hate the additional quests of the DS version as much as I do lol. In the case of chrono trigger, it literally would be a better version if it had less content. Don't know if it is on your interest, maybe a lot of research would be needed. But a top 100 genesis game would be awesome to watch next.
@@thomasffrench36 You should... Like he said in the video. If you enjoy rpgs in any capacity, then you will probably enjoy chrono trigger. It is pretty short too, for an rpg, 15 hours, maybe 20 hours for a firs time player.
@@diegog1853 I will get to it eventually. I was kinda kidding, because I know that 16-bit RPG fans don’t like Final Fantasy VII for some reason. I think it’s a great game. Also is the steam version any good? I know it has extra content that sucks, but can I just skip that?
@@thomasffrench36 I love ff7, second best to ff6 in my opinion. Don't play the steam version, it is based on the mobile port and it is kind of crappy. I heard that with mods it is okay, but if you worry about the content. As far as I am aware there isn't any relevant new content that is not on the DS port. But new content in chrono trigger kind of sucks anyway... at least in comparisson with what is included in the vanilla game. The best thing about it is the anime cutscenes introduced since the ps1 version, and I don't even like them very much, they distract from the in-game cutscene a little bit. Snes, ps1, DS, any of those versions is perfectly fine. Ps1 version has anime cutscenes, the Ds version has an extra semi dungeon, which is kind of bad honestly, and also kind of a pet monster minigame on the side. Honestly the best feature of it is the ability of tracking what endings you've got in the menu screen. But again, every version is fine and there is nothing wrong with just playing the original.
@@diegog1853 the problem is that I want the new script, because I tend to prefer the revised scripts of the remakes for Final Fantasy VI, and I think that it would be the same with Chrono Trigger. Also every version except the steam version is super expensive, and I don’t feel like emulating. I’m just wondering how good it is. The graphics look pretty similar to me.
Harvest Moon is still right next to the #1 spot. It just sort of fell on the floor and nobody noticed it wasn't getting up while they were cheering on Dragon Quest V.
I too feel this game might be the very best SNES game too. It’s the most unique gameplay style of any of the games that just instantly feels right and fully formed. Impressive for a first game. Natsume are the number 1 developer even though they didn’t develop HM.
I really enjoyed this. The guests popping up giving their thoughts vary things up a bit too. The guy that sounds like Walken though is borderline unintelligible I dont know if thats a bit or whatever or a mic issue but good stuff nonetheless. You need to do a Genesis top 100, would love to see it.
I'm 1h 30min into this, and I can't imagine how much time went into making it. It's a cool history piece that im sure will age like fine wine. Cheers. 🍷🍷
Great list. I was watching some more of your old videos today and realized you're the "you can beat..." guy. I've been subbed to your channel too long. :)
This is my last comment. This is a great and refreshing list for people who are sick of banal and humorless exercises in listing the same Super Nintendo games over and over. Genuinely surprising and interesting and fun.
Absolutely do watch True Lies, it's the action movie genre deconstruction, and it is absolutely hilarious. Probably best-aged of the Arnie movies, I'd put it up there with Total Recall and the Predator.
"She took the ice cube trays outta the freezer- what kinda SICK B!+€H takes the ice cube trays outta the freezer." -Tom Arnold's character talking about when his wife suddenly left him. 😂
I loved your list and I have played Pac-Man 2 The Adventures more times than most people walking this object we title earth. I used to rent that title on the weekends all the time just to progress a little further in the game. Chrono Trigger is God tier..... Dragon Quest 5 is bar none the best in the series. I have played all installments minus 9, and DQ5 is so next level, it almost got put into Super Mario All-Stars as the "The lost levels" .... that's how next level it is..... Very accurate and to the point is your list to my gaming obsession and rank. Thank you for making this video and from one human being in Tennessee, we love you and your content. God bless and good day sir!
0:12 I feel like the best console is the PS2. Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but whenever I think of video games, I think of PlayStation 2. It doesn’t help that SNES fans suck because they will put down NES Platformers, and PS1 RPGs, which are on par or better than the SNES counterparts. And they haven’t even played Dragon Quest V, or the best RPG on the SNES. And no I haven’t played it, but it definitely is the best one.
PS2 RPG's are underrated. Breath of Fire V is the shit. Weird action-"RPG" games like Dark Cloud are still better than most modern games. I also like the other weird RPG games like the second Valkyrie Profile or those weird SMT action-RPG's lol. And SMT 3: Nocturne is the greatest JRPG ever, IDC what anyone says lol. The other SMT games aren't too shabby either to say the least. Either way, the PS2 has the greatest console library by far. Breadth and depth. Tons of different awesome genres, some genres even being invented right on that console. There's like 50 good games on there AT LEAST lol. Most console libraries don't even have 20.
Top quality content once again man. Your patreon is well worth supporting to keep you producing this stuff. The only thing I'll argue the toss with you about is how far back on the list star fox is 😂. Nice work.
dang when you said 3 MetroidVanias I would've bet anything the last one would be Hollow Knight lol I'm the same way with the genre btw, the only ones I like are the ones you mentioned (plus HK & Dead Cells). Give it another chance brother, I think you'll vibe with it if you just stick with it. Great video though, subbed!
If you just replace "God" with "AI", the story of every JRPG suddenly becomes a true story. These Japanese writers actually had a clue and we underestimated their prescience.
Nice video, I have 3 thoughts. 1. The reviewer of Equinox is mistaken when he says the game doesn't explain its story or what you're supposed to be doing. If you wait on the main menu it goes into an arcade style attract screen of some prerecorded gameplay, where there is a text overlay that explains the story. Also it also isn't just the PAL box art that's completely different from the game, the back of the NTSC box seems to make some obscure reference to game mechanics that aren't even in the game. The game went through development hell, being delayed multiple times, the last time meaning it launched 6 months after its lengthy feature in Nintendo Power that included some awesome original art for the game and maps of the first 3 dungeons. There was a lot of content and mechanics that were cut out, and it's pretty obvious as its a dungeon crawler with a strangely massive yet almost completely empty open overworld to explore, which just screams cut content. Kind of reminds me of Quest 64 in a way. Apparently it was originally supposed to have towns you visited and a much more in depth story. 2. Bump combat actually made a return in the very fun 2009 PSP game Half Minute Hero. It was subsequently ported to PC and is on steam, so I highly recommend checking it out if you've never heard of it, it's awesome. It's a pseudo action RPG where every level has you start at level 1, and you have to level up by fighting monsters to defeat a boss who is casting a spell to end the world that takes 30 seconds to cast. If you have money from killing monsters you can pray at shrines to turn back time 30 seconds and keep going. Then there are lots of other game modes aside from the main quest. A very unique and fun game. 3. While I think your list is quite good, one game I was sad to see missing was Blackthorne. It's easily the best of the cinematic sidescrolling shooter games. The puzzles are fun and challenging, the gunfighting is satisfying, and your character is a complete badass. I had a lot of fun with it and I think it still holds up quite well in a way that out of this world (aka Another World outside of the US) doesn't.
Thank you for the great video, I really appreciate you putting in all the effort to create this. 2 hours plus that's what i'm talking about. 🙂 Most RUclipsrs only be making lazy 10 min videos, where you barely gain any information. Where as this, So refreshing, I learnt so much. Keep up the good work.
This was an epic video! Loved your recap. That looked like it took forever. Im a nobody gamer youtuber but ill throw my hat in your ring for any possible cameo opportunities if im worthy.
Omg I played pac man 2 with my grandma for hours, we had it on genesis. I watch these countdowns all the time, this by far is one of the best. All the guest reviews and fresh takes, I didn't expect to watch the whole thing in a sitting. Great job!
@JasonGravesPoser I knew it!!! Well you managed to save my sub by being a fellow star fox hater. I guess I will stick around for harvest moon review. (In all seriousness thanks for the content 👍)
Ah God! Only at #99 and you've just made a friend for life! I wouldn't put Starfox in my top 500 SNES games. So you admitting your being non-plussed by them makes my day.
Really enjoyed your takes and though we have very dissimilar tastes, i always appreciate someone with their own fully unique favorites that isn't afraid to get some heat. That said, I'll be crying myself to sleep not seeing Soul Blazer or Super Ghouls and Ghosts
Let us know when you have played Tales of Phantasia and Star Ocean, the only two SFC/SNES games that reached 48 megabits. Both are easily worthy of the list.
Add Last Bible III onto the list and you got a game that, while not on the same level as the SMTs present, is a pretty unique RPG with some of the best music on the system that would be somewhere in the 40's or 50's in terms of placement.
For me the random encounter rate absolutely killed Tales of Phantasia, could not force myself to get anywhere close to finishing it. Isn't there a remake that's better about this or something?
@@joshthefunkdoc There’s a PS1, GBA and PSP version but I’ve only played the original one. Back when it was released the high encounter rate was pretty much a given with most RPGs. If you like JRPGs it’s definitely worth a full playthrough, maybe on another platform.
OK, i was getting ready to leave a comment saying "Sparkster ain't got shit on the Genesis games, you should maybe check out Hagane as a possible replacement"...and then you got a huge pop from me later on. Glad to see even though you're a "RPG guy" you took the effort to find some of the still-hidden gems in other genres. On that note, for a professed shmup disliker, you seem to have good instincts there; the two you put on the list are two of the three that the hardcore fans consider to be the best SNES exclusives in that genre. The only one missing is Axelay, and frankly i'm kinda shocked you didn't have that on there since it does things i think you'd love - have you just not given it much of a look? It's got that classic Konami feel with some of the most fucking amazing art on the system. Where i WILL differ, though, is that for a lesser-known licensed beat-em-up i think Maximum Carnage absolutely shits all over Death and Return of Superman. It has a bit more variety/gimmicks in the level design, branching paths depending on character choice, better music (courtesy of my all-time favorite one-hit wonder Green Jello), and a much deeper moveset where almost everything actually has a use! That's not even mentioning the game's most distinct element - being able to summon a ton of other Marvel characters as assists. The downside is that many of the endgame boss battles can only be handled with those assists, so it becomes as much of a resource management game as a beat-em-up. Genre purists hate that, but if you like the Capcom Dungeons & Dragons arcade games (which i find many who aren't otherwise into beat-em-ups do!) you should do fine with it. i will also note that the dedicated beat-em-up players absolutely despise the original SNES Final Fight due to the smaller sprit limit, as the arcade version gets its vibe from those scenes where 10 enemies swarm you all at once. In those circles the only SNES Final Fight that gets much respect these days is actually 3; the branching paths and greater character variety help, but it also allows much more freedom to come up with cool combos thanks to the addition of dashing. That one seemingly small change helps give the game a more similar pace to that of arcade Final Fight with much fewer enemies on-screen, an impressive feat imo.
Great video as always, really happy to see Dream Land 3 and Dream Course getting some love PS since you brought it up: I would moderate expectations with Trials of Mana if you don't wanna have a Live A Live situation happen again. Game is basially a prettier, more unbalanced, much more jank version of SoM. If it had actually released here it would probably be known for half of the mechanics either not working, being easily exploitable or being useless
Hey man. It's my 3rd comment. But it's not zero. I watched and enjoyed every minute. I gotta say also, I respect your attitude. I would guess you are a strong minded individual
Love to see DQ5 get some well-deserved love. You mentioned the original and the DS remake, but there is also a PS2 remake, which is at least the best looking of the bunch.
Dragon Quest V at #1 is a excellent choice. It is my favorite dragon quest game. The story in that game is absolutely incredible, the ability to catch monsters and battle with them is awesome and the music in the game is incredible too. Your story about Earthbound resonated with me too. I didn't necessarily get super into it the first time I played it and abandoned it in the middle of my 1st playthrough, but then went back and played through it fully and it became one of my favorite SNES games and I replayed it a few times after that and enjoyed it a lot each time.
Dude, I'm in full support of putting the usual top ten contenders at the bottom of the list! There are a bijillion lists online right now that are all basically the same goddamn list with all the same goddamn games in the same goddamn slots. So something different is MUCH appreciated! It's as if an actual, real, thinking human with his own ideas made this. ALL RIGHT!
I finished ZAMN! On real hardware, too. No cheats. You're still right, though. It's the toughest of the nearly 100 games I've finished for the system so far. And that includes stuff like ActRaiser 2, Hagane, and Plok. The bosses are bullshit and the password system is just broken.
Shin Megami Tensei at #36! FUCK YEAH!! I have been waiting for this one and ecstatic to see it both acknowledged and so firmly placed in the top 40. Liked, commented and now subscribed!
I disagree with every game and rank.
Make a video of your top 100
You have hands and the gall. Do it yourself. I can't, so I don't.
He thinks Mode 7's simple background trick is arcade quality sprite scaling and rotation , therefore I can never take another opinion of his seriously..
Nobody can be wrong on the internet, especially about an important subject like games from 3 decades ago.
I’m sorry ur wrong. He is 100% correct. U r foolish for saying so.

-1 --2:22:16-- Dragon Quest V-
That leaves the worst port of Puyo Puyo as my fave.
@@ribenasquash Why did you do all this work? lol
Also, what? The DKC games are vanilla? And A Link to the Past isn’t a RPG.
Thank you so much for having me on! The dedication that goes into making a video this long and with such a diverse range of games discussed is super impressive!
No lets tease him instead
he has no idea how much we like the channel he'll think we're actually mad >:O
Great video. Respectful opinions for sure. My top 3 would be Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, and Terranigma. Also, Kirby's Dream Course is amazing, I hope you've played multiplayer.
Thanks again for having me on, Jason, it was a lot of fun digging down into the history of the Pocky series and offering my own spin on it. To show my appreciation, I've got four comments here for the price of one, take your pick:
1) Awesome work writing through this monster of a project without defaulting to any handwavey cliches, this is your video from front to back.
Thank You for being on!
pac man 2 is underrated if anything
@@JasonGravesPoser Film Cow played Pac-Man 2 on Genesis. He seemed to think it’s better but it ain’t. The music is actually OK. In fact, NAMCO were really good at FM. But it’s a bit of a scrappy port overall.
I can't believe you put Chrono Trigger above Pac Man 2.
This is unforgivable.
he had to throw something out there for the basics.
Excited for more ⭐
Great to have you on!
always super cool to have a boredjord sighting !!
Thanks for the entertaining video. I appreciate your hard work. This must have been a beast to put together
Thanks for watching!
That dq6 review gave me an aneurysm

The "Final Fantasy Tw-Four-o" shtick never gets old.

Awesome list! I'll take an authentic list over an attempt for some objective one any day of the week - even if you did my boy Pilotwings dirty.
As a guy who considers A Link to the Past his favorite game ever, I lmao’d when PAC-Man 2 was #12. Well played, you magnificent S.O.B.
It’s amazing how different you see NES and SNES games when you’re a child vs someone like me, a 48 year old man who grew up with these games.
The fact you have Terranigma on here means you know your SNES games! Definitely underrated.
Already I don't know whether to be upset that Super Metroid isn't Number 1, or disappointed that it _is_ number 1.
alright i did it i made it to the end. it took me 3 nights but i enjoyed every moment of it. my final notes after 2 previous posts:
1) I love that recap music video you did.... masterful editing of the games jumping around to the beat. i wish this was an equalizer plugin i can use lol. You should release it as a separate video. and
2) I am a little dissapointed by how little you had to say about your #1 pick.
Good luck with everything,
Cheers.
he delivers again!
great video man
i don't think i've ever even heard of pacman 2 but the fact you put it at 12 AND above zelda is HILARIOUS. this channel has turned out to be an amazing sub. so glad i found it.
you should try playing it, very strange game
Super excited for this one 😊. The first video I watched of yours was the top 100 nes games. Watched it all and dug it and then subscribed to checked out the rest of your stuff. I'm even in your patrion ❤. Looking forward to it 🎮
L + Ratio + You disrespected star fox
Thanks for sharing your top 100!!
reached #12 and just started laughing and flipping off the screen ROFL
Just finished it and this was a very well done video! When it comes to these types of lists it's not about what we (the viewer) agree or disagree with, but whether the list's creator put some genuine thought and care into their choices. You most certainly did just that. Subbed!
'Not a shmup guy' should disqualify you from all gaming discourse but still I love this friggin channel

There are quite a few good games that arent on this list, but I guess you can’t mention them all. And the guy put Pac Man 2 above Zelda, what can you expect? lol
good video, Im floored by the quality of your content. found you from the goodwill video.
Well I haven’t played it, but it would be hard to beat Final Fantasy VII
39:05 Finally, a review that explains how Kirby became the Pentagon's spokesperson, this is the one thing in games that always eluded me.
Top 100 Nintendo 64 games will be very interesting considering that's most of the library
We need a bunch of top 100 N64 games lists, so I can decide which N64 games to play.
Idk if there are 100 n64 games worth playing
I doubt I could hit more than 20, if even.
Cheers. 🍷🍷
It’s nice to see original thought in the RUclips sphere.
Great list. I was watching some more of your old videos today and realized you're the "you can beat..." guy. I've been subbed to your channel too long. :)
This list is awful but I had fun watching it.
I actually quite like it. It's not the same ol' shite regurgitated on every greats list
This is my last comment. This is a great and refreshing list for people who are sick of banal and humorless exercises in listing the same Super Nintendo games over and over. Genuinely surprising and interesting and fun.
Thank you for your time and effort.
Absolutely do watch True Lies, it's the action movie genre deconstruction, and it is absolutely hilarious. Probably best-aged of the Arnie movies, I'd put it up there with Total Recall and the Predator.
"She took the ice cube trays outta the freezer- what kinda SICK B!+€H takes the ice cube trays outta the freezer."
-Tom Arnold's character talking about when his wife suddenly left him. 😂
Waiting patiently... I love lists 45:44 and 1:15:00 are the best parts 😂
That IS how it goes down in the Death of Superman comic. Both Superman and Doomsday uppercut each other at the same time and it kills Superman.
Okay that’s hilarious. Never was into the continuity bullshit of Superhero comics.
Really enjoyed the video and all the cameos
I'm scrolling through comments looking and waiting for someone to unironically correct your doki doki panic sparkster comment lol
We have a winner!
Gotta say, pretty engaging video, DQ5 is my favorite too for a lot of the same reasons, but just a genuinely interesting video overall.
Great video, very professional and charismatic. On the nes control pad: b is before and a is after. What it's all about? Beating the game!
Glad to see you mention MMPR, it never gets mentioned but its really well made and fun
If you just replace "God" with "AI", the story of every JRPG suddenly becomes a true story. These Japanese writers actually had a clue and we underestimated their prescience.
Seeing plok on the list made me happy. Now that is a hidden gem of a game.
That google earth comment got me good. I subbed. You got in my head there.
I enjoyed the video. Keep up the work!
Cool list, bud. I like to see different choices, especially pac-man 2 haha
Outstanding work
Nice video, I have 3 thoughts.
I love seeing highly coveted games that suck balls get called out. The hero we needed
Your rankings disgust me. I can't even look at you right now. In fact, you're dead to me now. Looking forward to watching the rpg videos.
I am just glad to see Illusion of Gaoa in the top 50 its my favorite SNES game
Thank you for the great video, I really appreciate you putting in all the effort to create this. 2 hours plus that's what i'm talking about. 🙂
Most RUclipsrs only be making lazy 10 min videos, where you barely gain any information.
Where as this, So refreshing, I learnt so much.
Keep up the good work.
This was an epic video! Loved your recap. That looked like it took forever. Im a nobody gamer youtuber but ill throw my hat in your ring for any possible cameo opportunities if im worthy.
Why putting stuff on the list you don't enjoy?
No game "needs" to be on the list, it's your list regardless of how bad it seems to other people.
Putting FF3 as number 10 this man has guts
Omg I played pac man 2 with my grandma for hours, we had it on genesis. I watch these countdowns all the time, this by far is one of the best. All the guest reviews and fresh takes, I didn't expect to watch the whole thing in a sitting. Great job!
Yes! Kirby's dream course is so good! I saw a mod people made for the Game Grumps where they add like 100 new multi-player maps
At this point you are trolling me with the lack of harvest moon... haha 😂
Specifically you!! Seriously though I promise on my life harvest moon will be the next thing I upload
@JasonGravesPoser I knew it!!! Well you managed to save my sub by being a fellow star fox hater. I guess I will stick around for harvest moon review. (In all seriousness thanks for the content 👍)
Pac man 2 is a core memory for me. Thanks for showing it some love 💜
You’re my new favorite game reviewer, I loved this
i laughed when you tried to inhale King DeDeDe. and I'll fight you, great cave offensive is great. Lufia 2 "tower of sacrifice" ? Ancient Cave lol
I watched the entire thing….. loved it.
I love this video thankyou for making it 😊
You sir, are a legend for making this video.. bravo 👏
Ah God! Only at #99 and you've just made a friend for life! I wouldn't put Starfox in my top 500 SNES games. So you admitting your being non-plussed by them makes my day.
really diggin the content!
Another game I think worthy of the list that is Japanese only is Legends of Rudra. And the 5th Fire emblem.
Such a great system, and now I have 1000 of the games for 13 bucks on a little Ole thumb drive. Love it. Rocking earthbound first
Earthworm Jim 2 is superior on the SNES
Great video as always, really happy to see Dream Land 3 and Dream Course getting some love
PS since you brought it up: I would moderate expectations with Trials of Mana if you don't wanna have a Live A Live situation happen again. Game is basially a prettier, more unbalanced, much more jank version of SoM. If it had actually released here it would probably be known for half of the mechanics either not working, being easily exploitable or being useless
i farted once on the set of Blue Lagoon
That was YOU? I knew it!
Hey man. It's my 3rd comment. But it's not zero. I watched and enjoyed every minute. I gotta say also, I respect your attitude. I would guess you are a strong minded individual
Video spoilers
Chrono Trigger not being #1 is the greatest plot twist in the history of this channel
ALL RIGHT!
Awesome vid, but where did you find that Dunkey ripoff?
"Not quite as heroic as the dad in dragon quest five". hahaha Jeez that made me laugh and feel guilty at the same time.
Are we there yet ?
yeah
Judging by your Otto artwork, I'd wager youre a fellow SU fan.
God help us during these dark days.
Super Adventure Island 2 is so obscure and underrated now even small retro channels like this don't rank it smh.
Shin Megami Tensei at #36! FUCK YEAH!! I have been waiting for this one and ecstatic to see it both acknowledged and so firmly placed in the top 40. Liked, commented and now subscribed!
WOW he got Dunkey to do Dracula X that's pretty baller.
LOL
