Prospect is such a beautiful and immersive movie. Thanks for making this interview, it gives great insight to the production process, which is quite unique. The creativity really shines through. I imagine shooting the forest scenes was also quite exciting, I'm very much in love with the lush forests in the Seattle area.
If you also loved the forest setting, you might be interested in or already know another beautiful low-budget movie shot in Washington: Leave no trace (2018), highly suggested.

Great interview. ⭐⭐⭐⭐Delving into a specific aspect of the project makes this more enjoyable and sets it apart from most cookie-cutter interviews.
Did you discuss any other specifics about the film with them?
This film is so unique and the quality is so high, it deserves a behind the scenes documentary and an "Art of the film" book.
    Thank you!⭐⭐⭐⭐

@@pedrox96 so far I've sewn the basic base suit and starting making the extra bits but the helmet is proving tricky. I'll update once i find a solution though!

@@tiff8683 Nice! Are you strictly following one of the characters for the cosplay, or just making a general space kit that resembles the film vibe?
I loved what they did in Prospect, such a rich world they created with so little. I use many of its visual details as an inspiration for the sci fi short film I'm currently writing.
You mentioned having trouble with the helmet. If I may say, and if you're willing to try diffent styles, one really cool concept for the helmet would be using one of those full-face diving mask as the visor. You can remove the breather and integrate the mask with a motorcycle helmet, and end up with something like this:

You do keep me updated! Have a nice one.

@@pedrox96 I'm hoping to follow Ezra, as I have similar hair and he's my fave from the film - but accuracy may depend on what materials I can source in lockdown!
It's such a rich world, I like the very nuanced worldbuilding and how different it is to other sci-fi movie worlds. Good luck with your short by the way!
I've been considering the flat-style helmets as my backup option, theyd be much easier to create! Gonna add a lil fan too for the inside so I don't get fogging, plus the (thankfully easy!) mics that they use.
Have a good 'un and stay safe 😊

I enjoyed this video, even if it wasn't exactly a match for the description: I thought this was going to go step by step and show how the helmets were made, not dealing with the problems of the shoot (altho, of course, they are related, but...). Also, I was hoping there would be some nice full clear images of the suits outside of clips from the film itself, so they could be studied clearly. If the description had said "the challenge of filming space suits" or something along those lines our expectations would've been far more in line with what's actually in the video.
