Thank you for the cutscenes. I've been away from FFXIV for a while now and am starting to come back to it and wanted to experience a few of the cutscenes from before I took my break.
It definitely starts different based on the starting class you pick, GLD/PGL/THM with Uldah, MRD/ROG from La Noscea, ARC/CNJ/LNC from Gridania. Each have a very specific starting set of cutscenes for ARR.

The other 3 Stormblood, Shadowbringer, Heavensward. What is the correct order?. I am watching the Rebirth bc it says Rebirth, but like with all FF you just don't know. I too appreciate the voice parts. I have skipped around the FF chapters bc of the content and verbage. Subtitles just not my thing. So if you know, or anyone else, please tell me the order. I saw FFVII backwards as FFVII, Crisis, Core, Derge of Cerberus, then Advent Children. I would like to avoid further out-of-squence order.

Ah, thank you. Good reference for fanfiction writers (like me) who need to refresh their memory of cutscenes because the muse whacked them over the head with an Idea and now won't leave them alone, lol
I story skipped so used this to catch up in my own time. Managed to get through the whole thing, today and yesterday. Was feeling so proud! I noticed there was still about an hour to go after the credits rolled so assumed that was the Post ARR content. Imagine my sadness when I discovered the 5 hour+ video of that on your channel then 😭 Man ; even catching up with the story this way is a miiiission. I see Heavensward is 5 hours, and Stormblood even more! I like your player character by the way. Not a bad wee person to spend 3 hours of my life with. If I can bear to watch more of these old cutscenes, and I really should, I'll be back!
Thanks for this! I ended up missing out on the first hour and 15 minutes or so of voice acting because it wasn't working for some reason. At least now I know what I missed out on T_T
WOWSERS! I just reached a major part of the story. The longest cut scene after a battle, and it really showed where I was headed in the grand sceme of things... I just skipped to where I last saw (and stopped to go back to write the rest of this comment)... 1:41:00 but this whole reason I am here, and where this whole story appears to have taken off for me is here... with the Enterprise!.. and the battle that followed (followed by the cut scene lol) 1:24:00 Loving the game so far, and the story is getting better as I have heard it would... especially here... like.. boom! here ya go!
I’m at nearly the end of heavansward I’m like level 69 just be blasting through the quests, randomly decided to watch a cutscene and holy fuck I didn’t realise this game had a quality story…. Wish I didn’t skip from start of arr thanks for this, I’m putting all msq quests on hold until I watch until that part. I’m used to mmo games to have dogs hit story lmaoo. This story so far low key one of the best final fantasy stories period.
That was exactly the reason i wrote off ff14 back in 2018 as a "meh" game. I just skipped everything because i was used to it from wow. Now i started again and already have 65h played after, like, 5 days.
How come i don't remember that last half hour after the credits at all...? I've already played well into Heavensward. I was also expecting to see Ul'dah things which also happen before Heavensward.
Is it odd of me to say I didn't like how this story ended, and that the heroes and villains kinda got twisted up to be the opposite, much like the Widh movie? I liked Louisoix's speech when he was "evil" and thought he had really good points about everything, and that the twins were actually wrong about their stance which it deemed in the end they refused to budge on? I, as a person whom has personally dealt with far too much gaslighting and villainization by shitbrained liars who decide to immediately curse my presence just fo making a valid well informed point and not permanently catering to their delusional stances, I found the twins to seem more like the bad guys with hero/crusader complexes (to say nothing of how the sister seemed like a strung along puppet having herpassionate beliefs being dismissed coldly by the brother even before this) and I found that troubling. If we are truly to be heroes, surely we should not be expected to be selective and only save man but leave dragons in the dirt? The Allagans definitely seem like the evils, and it must hurt that Bahamut is being held and repaired by Allagan tech. I'd be pissed. It seemed like he was being stupidly genocidal with his dialogue, but Ican undestand if he got so tired of the hypocrisy, seeing his kind give what sounds like bad deals to the dragons, all because what, Bahamut and dragons were at war with them and made fire and explosions happen? Like the other side can't do that just the same? And then seeing Louisoix being wiped away clean of his original points while in his primal state and going on to say "oh, hey I know you took in all this politic drama, just thought about dragon racism going on and how the poor guys might feel about another species they got super hurt by killing one of their ancestors without their say and the severe unfair consequences of how this will affect race relations, but nope! I'm fiercely diverting your mind and telling you our picture is the only one that can be painted, you're doing the right thing, IrReLeVAnT!" When I found it to be very much so relevant. I was hell yeahing when the dragons took down the opposing force, and I was soured at what Louisoix was insinuating. Bottom line, I haven't formally played Ff14, but I was excited to begin and I'm here watching some beginning arcs to see what I'm getting into. But now I don't want to if all the stories have let down endings and not well thought out motives for the characters. My WoL would more likely have a primal superform of his own than allow the twins to screw around with matters that aren't actually in their wheelhouse to dictate, maybe even try to heal Bahamut's misery as a TRUE hero would. At least an attempt at extending an olive branch to the dragon god. Just sayin
It was the final scene from FF 14 1.0 the Last hours but the Sequenz is in the Main Menu when you started the Game and logged your Account in. There you can see every opening video of the Editions you bought and the louisoix vs Bahamut Video.

They're heavily spaced out. Also? The first 3 or 4 where Yshtola and Merlwyb speak are only if you start in Limsa Lominsa. You get different events with Tancred, Raubhan and Nanamo if in Ul'dah, and Papalymo, Yda and Kan e-Senna if Gridania.
the thing is he's not even an emperor. He's just a legion commander incommunicado with main body of empire. ANd half of reason what is going on and what he accuses his opponents of are consequences of calamity he caused , by accident. SO , it's like "I've screwed up but I don't admit it and you can't deal with results, that's your fault"
I almost feel like I'm watching a really bad college play. Each voice sounds strained and forced to keep up with the action of the gameplay. It just feels like the final fantasy games have gotten.... duller in plot. And each villain just seems... over dramatical in how they move, act and speak. They're really overhauling the 'villain does their long-ass speech BS'.
The expansions are very different, greatly matured. Remember ARR is 10 years old now, a lot has changed since then, they brought in new voice actors, revamped the NPC expressions and movement etc.
@@chrismarshall7131 took me a few years of starting and stopping but now with 5.3 it has been a blast. just hit 50 :-) but damn early game is a chore. Once past that it opens up so much but I understand your pain lol.

Coils of Bahamut was so good! It's a shame it's so hard to see these days. They should make an easier version and make it mandatory for MSQ imo.

It also starts different if you're a legacy player as well. My cutscene started me off being teleported into the current day after Louisaux saved me.

I got a jump potion to skip ARR, it was horrible. But so far HW is great, just scared of the transition quests to storm blood when I'm done with HW
It's much improved with the 5.3 revamp. Lots of nuisance quests eliminated or made optional, and single use teleport items back to the Sands.
