OB12312 here. love this! some buddies are researching for a run next spring here, thanks for the edit looks like a great time!
That was me in the black XJ! You did an amazing job editing this! Had a blast and can't wait until the next time!
Thanks! I hope the weather is a little nicer next time!
I just watched you build on the trailer, very nice.
Nate Shaffer thanks!
Great video Rob! This was so much fun, cant wait to take the Taco out again for another overland trip!
Thanks! I look forward to seeing some mods on the Taco!
I am amazed at how few of you run mud tires. With as much mud as your videos show you all seem to run desert style all terrain tires. Love your GC Overland.
ill go on the next one i hope! overland bound is great. met some great guys through it.
Awesome video, Rob! Thanks for organizing the trip and sharing the video! Looking forward to the next one!
Thank you! I hope to see you both there next time!
Headed down here in a few weeks, we will deff seek out these trails.
It's finally drying up after a wet winter! Enjoy!
Great video! This trail is on our list for next year. Hopefully we can hook up with a group or OB Meetup.
It's a lot of fun, but it has gotten a little tricky over the last year! We'll probably do some more of the Kentucky Adventure Tour in the spring.
Would love to tag along for a trip like this!
Yea I was going to hit ouray but this is closer and the land cruiser do love her super unleaded
Nothing beats going out west, but it's expensive. I've probably put over a thousand into the fuel tank this summer!

Revere Overland these tracks aren't online. Are you planning to repost them to your patreon?
A group of us is looking to checking these locations out. Was looking for any information of good camping spots. Also some good trails! Thanks
The Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway (www.cartotracks.com/daniel_boone_backcountry_byway) or Kentucky Adventure Tour (annessky.net/kat/) are the best options for county roads. Are you looking to camp on the trails or at a campground? Camping on the DBBB is limited to the southern end of Spaas Creek really. The KAT route has potential campgrounds marked.
That little bridge at 4:37 looks Awesome!
It is, but unfortunately it's closed now due to vandalism.
Revere Overland that's sad that stupid people have to ruin it for other people. I just bought a new trd tacoma and was planning on running the trail this coming summer and fall. thanks for a great video
Nice! Enjoy that Tacoma. The Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway is still open, just that little bridge is closed. Check out the Kentucky Adventure Tour too - it's a little easier than the DBBB, and much more scenic.
Great video. Keep up the good work.
Nice trip. I'll be there tomorrow for a ride.
It's a great area. I like your KAT videos!
Revere Overland Thanks buddy. Love your videos too! Keep up the great videos.
Nice video, nice trip.
We had our Atlanta/UpState SC OB meetup ride on Tray Mountain Georgia on 11/18 with 5 rigs. Could double or even triple that number in January when we go back to hit the eastern portion of the Georgia Traverse.
I've wanted to do the Georgia Traverse for a while. I'll keep an eye out for the rally point!
This trip is only for the day on the most eastern part. We are discussing doing the whole traverse later next year, possibly in April, so I'll try and keep you in mind. And there will be a rally posted in the OB forums.
OB 5288
How often do you guys do a meet up like this?
This looks awesome. Just bought a 4runner and really would like to do this, just not sure where to go.
Join Kentucky Overland on Facebook and check out the FAQ!
Revere Overland will do! Maybe if I can figure this out, I’ll see you out there sometime haha take care. Love the content!
Great stuff!
That mud was pretty cold
Sweet!
Wheres the access for this trail? Looks like a good, easy ride.
you only get 21" of water depth to ford in a cherokee trailhawk. not sure it can handle that
What was that guy in a ford ranger 2 wheel drive thinking?? That could have messed up every bodies day.
What road is the bridge on? i have the newest GPX file have done just about everything but never came across it.
OB 12980 here. Virginia Overlander. Im planning a trip to DBBB next spring and see you use Gaia as well. Perhaps you could help with way points and well frankly my GPX file of the loop is quite old.
Hey! I don't think we can share the files since it's something that's sold through their website. I personally recommend checking out the Kentucky Adventure Tour instead - it takes in the best parts of the DBBB, but is far larger!
@@RevereOverland thanks. Found a site and facebook group for KAT and a GPX revised 9/9/18
Yes, Highly recommend these Smart Maps (no cell signal required).... www.cartotracks.com/daniel_boone_backcountry_byway
When is the next one
Would like to join you folks on a trip.
Come on up to Kentucky! We're thinking about putting on a small ride in April.
@@RevereOverland I'm game. My schedule for April is wide open.
We'll announce final details on the Kentucky Overland Facebook group.
Trying to put together a overland trip for our jeep club. Watched this video and this looks like a cool place to wheel and camp. Could someone send me a map of the roads you took. Please send to my messenger Randy Gulley. Thank you.
It's the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway. It's a paid map, so you'd have to buy it. If you want a free (and in my opinion, better) route, check out the Kentucky Adventure Tour.
what roads are you traveling there. i recognize the oil roads but not the others.
Spaas Creek and Pumpkin Hollow were the trails the first day.
Revere Overland what about the other days?
3:47 Just using a High Lift on the body, nbd.
I wouldn't do it on my vehicle, but it worked out fine!
Revere what kind of lift is on your WK?
It's an Old Man Emu lift. Heavy duty springs with medium duty shocks. Lifts it about 2.5 inches, but can be modified to lift more.
Arent the cherookes unibody?
Yes. The Cherokee and Grand Cherokee are both unibody.
That looked like more of a defect than trail damage.
7:00 Lol. Wow. I know how that feels XD That dang breakover angle on the WK >__
You know it! I do wonder if I would have made it without the sliders.
Revere Overland Maybe. Our WK's have so much low hanging fruit on the undercarriage (like the catalytic converter, crossmember, etc.) that there's still a chance it'd bottom out. But hey, the rails did their job though haha (they protected)
