Literally, 2 of my favorite things combined!!! 🕷🕸💕 I have sadly had to skip their last 2 decks just due to pricing once shipping is added (I do have OAT and SAE though and love them), but I will definitely splurge for the spider deck 😁 Great video and prompts 💚

@sincerelyshannadee your response made me lol. I just keep them as pets. Pretty much just fluffy rocks that sit there. Other people breed them, I don't, too much work. Most people picked up useful hobbies over the Covid shutdowns like baking, quilting, reading.....I got into the tarantula keeping hobby. Smh....because of a random YT video that popped up on my feed pre-covid, Lol.

I adore The Guardian Angel deck so much. That Outlaw deck is cool! I wish she would do a version without people! I lived in the southwest most of my life and find myself drawn to that theme. The Desert Illuminations deck is my vibe. It captures the duality of that area so well and has a cheeky sense of humor.

And 8:47 I thought I was the only one with this deck (Wisdom For Healing Cards) because I never hear anyone talk about it! 🤣I actually have it paired in a box with the old edition of The Answer Is Simple (by Sonia Choquette). They pair SO well because both decks have those colored swoosh borders at the top where the titles are! Together they create a 112 card deck! Let me know if you want me to show it and I will! These decks are very meaningful to me so I was SO excited to see one of them here in your space! 🧡 And 26:09 - swoon! I LOVE all of my Doreen Vortue decks. It's how my card journey began and I still use them today.
@RootsAndWaves I would LOVE to see The Answer is Simple! Too funny! I really like some of the older decks - they just hit a specific spot sometimes. I need to dig a little deeper into some of DV's old decks and see what's out there.
Carl Jung described shadow work as making the unconscious, conscious. People do shadow work on all manner of things, not necessarily just for repressed trauma, in all kinds of ways. I find my #ExploringTheMagdalene practice is, at its core, a form of shadow work. I also feel super uncomfortable in fancy schmancy clothes. I want the spider deck! I made a verbal agreement with my house spiders one day and it’s like my fear just died. Very fun and cozy tag!

Ok I've tried having conversations with my house spiders and that DOES help because now I can usually get them in a cup to put outside which I never would have been able to do in the past so progress is being made ☺️ Fancy clothes are soooo overrated! 🤭🥰
As someone who unknowingly started learning tarot to unlearn conditioning, I became a 24 hour shadow work card slinger until I entered trauma therapy- here is what I learned. 1. Use a deck that your childhood self would love. So that you can speak with her. It's a form of inner child work. The Playful Heart tarot is this for a lot of people, but it fell flat for me because my inner child didn't like that kind of artwork. It has to be personal to you as a child. 2. Choose a deck that makes you feel uncomfortable. I'm talking so uncomfortable you feel it in your spine. That is the deck that will pull out the subconscious. For me that was the Somonia Tarot in conjunction with Death Doula oracle. The Mary El also was a BIG nope that had a lot of growth for me. 3. Find a deck that is more psychology driven and less estoric. One isn't better than the other! But the psychology based tarot decks are great for shadow work. Some deck suggestions: Between Worlds oracle deck. Iris oracle deck. The adventure tarot. Creative consciousness healing oracle. Hope this helps! Don't beat yourself up for not getting it. Sometimes you just don't until you need it.

So, I’ve found affirmation decks to be a good place to start with shadow work. If the affirmation makes me feel anything but like I’m being hugged, I do a 6 card spread for who/what/where/when/why/how I feel that way. I do a weird mix of using a pip deck, RWS, archetype deck, and a pendulum to short it out.
I had the death Doula oracle sitting on my shelf for 6 months without touching it. Then I saw a video sharing how this deck was made and the different “suits“ and their meanings. It was so good that I started using the deck finally. And I am loving it! The everyday witch was the very first tarot deck I bought when I first started learning tarot. So for me, that would be my deck for prompt #2 & even prompt #8. Thanks for sharing this video!
