The one problem I noticed in this version is that you are not able to save files onto your local hard drive. This is the ONLY reason I uninstalled this version and rolled back over to v5.
No and this software cost way too much 30-40k dollars per seat. You should instead learn Fusion 360 it's modern and built for the 4th industrial revolution: 3D Printing.
not really scalable/reusable model, to many breps used, and by the way, even such very simple models can be done using V5 with 30% less clicks, while using same functionalities
This is just an example of slightly differences between V5 and 3DX. You can use the exactly same features that you use in V5 into V6. But the idea is to use less clicks in 3DX, which is possible thanks to the click context dependent of which geometry your selecting. This does not take account methodology, but accelerates the process for studies for initials designs, and even more if you use Live Shape, which is the new app that you won't find on V5

That is so funny- CATIA V5 with a lot of SOLIDWORKS 🙂 Why not just have SOLIDWORKS. Thats way better, more intuitive
