Orchid leather , what do you think about the longivity?
The matcha accord in this is beautiful in my opinion. I think most people are familiar with matcha being green, bitter, earthy, etc. but good matcha such as Uji Hikari Cultivar matcha can smell of Unami, floral, citrusy, smooth, and sweet. I personally believe Le Labo did an amazing job capturing a good ceremonial grade matcha scent. The first 10-20min you get a good burst of citrus. The fig ads a smooth floral and green, but light sweetness. The backbone is woody but not over powering! Overall Matcha 26 is a light and comfy scent that embodies the spirit of a good Uji matcha that makes me feel calm and grounded. Although it is a lighter scent, it last about 6-7 hours on me.

I sprayed one spray of Matcha 26 on my arm yesterday in the store and can still smell it on my skin 24 hours later. Smells pretty chill.

I bought Thé Matcha 26 on release day. It was an impulse buy cause of the hype. I tested it at the store and was honestly not in love but the girl told me she had just made that bottle. I waited two weeks before my first spray and it’s honestly not a skin scent. At least not on me. It actually projects really well and lasts a long time. I get a lot of compliments too.

I bought Orchid Leather 2 weeks back...and I'm in LOVE with it....it sets my mood very well, and I enjoy smelling it myself rather than the crowd's appeal..
This is our summer ...and it helps cooling me...so its very good for hot weather....not only cold weather
Please advise of any other similar fragrances to obtain.

Orchid Leather is a great scent but definitely for the colder months! I also picked up Moonlight Patchouli for my partner and she loves it! Smells so lovely really recommend

Yeah I smelled thé matcha in the store when I went to sniff the city exclusives, they were previewing it. It was pretty but so light. Especially since I was sniffing a bunch of them, it was totally washed.
Thé Noir is the only Le Labo I own, its performance is fantastic. To me, it's mostly a musky rose fragrance with cedar and a little tea to keep it interesting. I don't recall fig standing out to me, but maybe I'm forgetting. It's good though. I like several other Le Labo scents--Bergamot, Gaiac, Cedrat--but the performance of them is only so so. And they do not have so so price tags.
I much prefer The Noir over The Matcha!! :)
I actually can appreciate skin scents. It's a perfume that I would wear around the house while relaxing in my cute cashmere sets or silk robe. So, I'll check this one out as I love Tea and Fig notes.
I appreciate them too when I know that is what I'm going to get. But I did know that is what we had with The Matcha but still underwhelmed! :)

I have Gloaming Night for some time but did not know the notes. I can smell saffron in it… It is a special scent but can go a bit sour on me.
Orchid Leather is superb. Reminds me of Initio Psychedelic Love and Valentina Myrrh but more sophistcated and subtle.

Wow so weird that sprayer issue with the Gucci bottles. You should bring back your bottle, it may have a default. I have two bottles from this collection and the sprayer is fantastic. It gives me the finest mist ever.

my favorite fragrance from vancleef collection is oud blanc from 2020 , it's smoked caramel, milky oud, really lovely and comforting smell, hop you test it..

I tested The Matcha in store... And ended up buying The Noir... 😁 There's that! Lool My favourites from VC&A are the two I own, Ambre Imperiale and Bois Doree! I'm a sucker for ambers, and Bois Doree is a woody almost vanillic scent that I can't get enough of... Not a big fan of Gucci's garden fragrances, though! Great video! Thanks! 👍

I still have not gotten my nose on Orchid Leather but YES this line from van cleef and arpels is unfairly underrated! They offer a superior quality at a relatively reasonable price. I own Bois Doré which I adore, Orchidée Vanille (love it for layering and even on its own), California Rêverie, and Roses Velours. Used to own Ambre Impérial few years ago but gave it away because it pulled too woody on my skin.

I think I've sampled Orchid leather a few weeks ago, but wasn't so impressed with it. Maybe I should go and try it again. Gucci A gloaming night I've smelled last Saturday, but my nose was so burnt out so I don't recall anything, just that I've liked it. I've smelled many fragrances from Gucci, but I think I prefer The eyes of the tiger from all of them.

the matcha isnt too bad but i think i prefer bvlgari soir. i got 6 samples from le labo. rose, jasmine, matcha26, ambrette, baie19, noir29. i like the jasmine and noire29, baie is goat pen sweaty balls smelling but wearable.

I got to smell A Gloaming Night a few weeks ago and I wasn't blown away by it. My favorite from that line remains The Last Day Of Summer but I find it so overpriced.
The line is overpriced yes I agree but there are some great scents in the collection with the worst sprayers sadly. Bottles look cool though! :)

@@AilleCross I can’t say for you but to me it’s a really safe scent, very pleasing without being too mainstream, in my opinion really unisex too.

Orchid leather smells just like black phantom
Well I know for sure noses are different and people smell things differently. But I don't get the Black Phantom connection. :)
I don’t know why we are all still hoping for an exciting release from Le Labo. Since they were bought by Estée Lauder, they have continually turned out underwhelming fragrances, and diluted the ones that they were known for. I do like several from the house, but they are all pretty much a skin scent that makes my tshirts smell nice when I put my nose to them, that’s it. So sad because I remember when they first started on Elizabeth St in NYC and you could smell their store from a block away.

I found matcha 26 underwhelming. I was excited when I heard about it but didn’t want to blind buy it so waited to spray it on in store. The concept sounded nice but glad I didn’t buy it.
