So you don’t think the world gets worse and worse until Christ’s return? Edit: yes that is a caricature of a pessimistic view, just getting the ball rolling
I have bought so many books in the last 3 yrs. “The Puritan Hope” is one of them. Maybe I’ll get that out and finally read it. My favorite book so far on eschatology has been William Hendrickson’s, More Than Conquerors. It has so many cross references to the OT. I’ve never understood the accusation of “replacement theology”. We are one new man in Christ, one olive tree. Why can’t we be one in Christ with one means of salvation and God still have specific plans for different people groups?
In this discussion it appears that you don’t want ‘fulfilment theology’ to be straw manned and I do appreciate the nuanced position wrt your own position. However, I do think there is an element of ‘straw manning’ the other side where you suggest around the 18 minute mark that the other side of the view on Israel don’t hold to the same view of salvation through Christ alone.
It’s actually around 17 mins 50 seconds where you argue that ‘dispensationalists’ think that there are two different ways or tracks of salvation. I am not aware of any Christian who thinks that Jews are saved somehow without Christ. Perhaps a very ‘hardline’ or particular small brand of dispensationalism might think there is an entirely separate track of salvation (though still ultimately saved through the death and resurrection of Jesus). I think you are conflating a particular type of dispensationalism with everyone who think there is a distinction between Israel and the church in God’s purposes wrt land and history.
Israel is God’s Timepiece!!
Keep it up I'm a Historic Optimistic Premillennialist

Very good, I wish this wasn't cut up.
Same that was strange for a live stream. There was no warning or anything
It wasn't actually a live stream, it was a live premiere, which RUclips presents live, but it looked live!
It was our first attempt at a live premiere
@@eschatology_matters Cool. Looking forward to the rest! Maybe you all would consider a live QA in the future.
Absolutely
