I still find it difficult to believe Claire actually plays golf, but she does a fantastic job at interviewing and her enthusiasm makes them even that much better.

My former roommate caddied on the tour for more than a decade, and lots of what he says here I've heard 1st hand. What a great interview.

When Bones mentioned he is from New Smyrna Beach, FL, my ear pricked up. I used to visit there back in the 80's when my wife's parents had a time-share in that city. They would often go at Thanksgiving or New Year and we would fly down from DC to join them I was new at golf and had been playing about year when we joined them to have some fun in the sun. I got my only hole-in-one on the municipal course in NSB one fine morning. It was hole #5, yardage was about 150 & I hit an 8 iron.
The flag was in the middle front & my ball hit the green, bounced once, and hit the flagstick with a loud clank. There was a mound in front of the green and I could not see the bottom of the flag or the cup. I thought the ball had caromed off the stick & did not realize it was in the hole until I got on the green and did not see it. My father-in-law said, "Look in the cup," and there it was. I still have the ball and the scorecard.

Very nice. She asked really good questions and gave him room. I've heard interviews with Bones before. What a great guy. I would have liked just one Tiger/Phil story that nobody knows.

…and I thought he got his nickname form Dr. ‘Bones’ Mackay from Star Trek! Jim is one of the best and it’s a pleasure to listen to him

I want to hear gambling stories about Phil, Bones knows where all the bodies are buried.

He’s one of the few caddies that actually fired his player (Mickelson). I have a lot of respect for Jim, he’s an old school kind of guy.

Cool dude. I wonder if he ever got all the money from Phil that he was due?
