@CeceSaysHi_950 I disregard the whataboutism of the other politicians, but there's no actual evidence of those allegations, just accounts of members with obvious conflicts of interest. Almost crazy how much character assassination happened as soon as he retired, but it was unsurprisingly pretty convenient for the tory government
A good compilation, this. Thank you so much for putting this together. This is exactly what I need to unwind after a long day of dealing with risk management another insurance related stuff. Cheers to you. 🥃
I got a big bar of chocolate to watch a film - but then just ended up watching this instead. Really laughed out loud at some of them, especially Theresa May's "treat the occassion in the appropriate manner" comment.

Right honourable is a member of the Privy Council. Honourable and Learned member is a King's Counsel (KC, formally a QC). Honourable and Gallant member is or has served in the Armed Forces.
@@Sasha-zv2wx in the House of Commons, it's different. "Right" had a very specific meaning. I checked Wikipedia. "Right honourable" is for MPs who are in the Privy Council. Other MPs are just "Honourable"
Compilations like this are fun, but perhaps damaging to the reputation of British politics. It would be good to balance all this, with some of the more articulate and cleaver speeches during some of the more serious debates.
@mattwood1562 Well, it might surprise you to learn that there is no actual tangible evidence; so it might be a better friend of yours. There's a spam of complaints from several people (not all of which were upheld anyway), and yet not one thing that independently suggests any of the alleged and very out of character events ever occurring. The possibility and indeed likelihood remains that this was a co-ordinated effort out of spite. Fundamentally the investigation (which wasn't a judicial investigation by any means) didn't have any real purpose except from having political consequences (in which it was well known that his political ambitions were well behind him before any of this), almost as if it were poised to sway public opinion. At the very least, you have to accept that the evidentiary strength is as strong with this possibility as much as it is with what the investigation decided was true (which is to say, there's no solid evidence for either)

As an American, I find this highly entertaining! I honestly don’t know how anything gets done in the House of Commons! 😂

i mean. he is the speaker. or was

@@CeceSaysHi_950Looking at the weak Speaker and Deputy Speakers we now have, we could do with Bercow in 2024

Can you upload more bercow comps?

Lindsay Hoyle has nothing on Bercow. Hoyle struggles to be heard, whereas Bercow was able to tell anybody, regardless of who they are, to shut up
Hoyle seems competent to me but Bercow was significantly more eloquent, a pleasure listening to him explain parliamentary procedure really.

Ew.
Excellent!
How has he managed to remember all the MPs with all details?
I want to know what comes next?😂😂
John Bercow's problem was that he found it very difficult to shout a reprimand at a misbehaving member without grinning.
Is he allowed to use names? I understand that they are not supposed to use names but say honourable gentleman or representative from X.
That rule doesn't apply to the Speaker.
@@markgilbert5209 ok thank you!
The speaker is allowed to name MP's. The rule is only for MP's, the PM and the Leader of the Opposition

Mr Gove….
Are there any wrong honorable gentlemen? Only right?
At some times, there are left honourable gentlemen.
I think the "Right" means the person is a Sir, or has some other honour. Or maybe they're in the Privy Council
Right honourable is a member of the Privy Council.
Honourable and Learned member is a King's Counsel (KC, formally a QC).
Honourable and Gallant member is or has served in the Armed Forces.
"Right" in this context means "very", not "correct", so a "right honourable gentleman" is a "very honourable gentleman"
