R D Burman was born for music Born for music lovers Hence forth many generation will come whose taste for music would match with those which RD left out for all of us. A truly music visionery by birth
Lord of music I have no words to praise you since you are such a genius that God had made RD for us to keep away all sorrows from us through your music.keep entertain to God as well like us.we miss you RDB sahab.
RD'S genius was he used to use so many musical instruments, in a song that is truly mind boggling. Most of us his fans , may not know what instrument he used, but can tell within seconds that this music is of the Boss.
RD means Musicioyogist, a Medicmusuciologist, Orchestriologist, Musiciomentalogist, , and what not, a Musiciooceanoligist to say minimum to me. Soothing music. Jai Pancham. Peace b upon with you.
Noted film director once said' Bringing world music to our ears through Hindi films, words are'nt enough to describe what RD did. RD music is a melting pot of all forms of music of the world, be it Indian classical, folk, modern or Asian, African,Europeon and American. He drew inspiration from all of them and by innovation and improvisation made them his own.
Only those, with sound knowledge of music, can direct/ design these acrobat's, beautifully, & which are likeable!! Changing the pitch, Changing the Taal/ Rythem, Changing the Raag, all are footprints of a Great Legend, A Pandit, A Guru!! Naman!!🎉❤
RD Burman was far ahead compared to his contemporary music composers. The close competitors are aware about this irrevocable reality but I'm also sad to say that the judges who did not recognize the geniusity in him are to be blamed. They have caused harm by not compensating the true and mesmerising music composer like RD though the latter never craved for awards. He came to serve music only without expecting awards or decorations. Never a second RD Burman would come again on earth.
Yes! You are absolutely correct!! The rhythm pattern and the sound clarity and his tunes were extra ordinary where the listener will be taken to a different world and the feel he experiences cannot be expressed in words!
RD holds rare distinction of having 'Filmfare' New Musical Talent Award instituted after him, whose first recipient was none other than A.R. Rahman, who is also influenced by RD.
Aap bhi kya kya kamaal ke anubhav dikhate rehte hain Panchamda ke , jo humne kabhi sunei bhi nahin . Scale change to bahut hi mushkil kaam hai , jo Panchamda ne itni khoobsurti se karaya in artists se , aur uska effect bhi hamare saamne hai ,in gaanon mein , jo kitni achi taren pesh kiya Ashaji aur Kishore da ne . Aapka bahut bahut shukriya itni achi baaten batane aur itne piyaare gaane sunane ke liye ! Mujhe sabse acha Gaana Mausam Piyaar ka laga , jo Maine shayid pehle nahin suna tha ! Thanks once again , Adbhut Pancham Foundation for uploading this wonderful video clip !
2 more brilliant examples of scale change are Daiya ye Main kahaa aa phasi from caravan and a pujo album song called daak pathale Check them out GOD = RD BURMAN
Tons of thanks for nice compilation depicting range of an artist who actually lifted music to such a level that, nobody could ever thought of. Tribute to God of Rhythm.
Amazing compilation. Only RD Burman can think of such divine ideas. The most significant song and an iconic number showing scale change is Daiya Ye Main Kahan Aa Phasi (Carvan - 1971). If possible please include it too in this list.
The scale changing effect however existed already in western music. RD knew this and he was someone who liked innovation and challenging experiences. If we listen to ..qui saura of Mike Brant ...we can observe the effect of scale changing. RD was always inspired by music dimension from all over the world. His research work never came to an end. We simply have to listen his creativities
@@mohinderchugh8082 namaste..Listen carefully the song..Mein challi mein challi by lataji from padosan...The scale changing effect is very visible and clear..There are many other songs... But not remembering...Right now...
We can add an example of Paul Anka's Song - Put Your Head On My Shoulder released in 1959 in list of Western Songs . Such a beautiful and meaningful song .
Talent defies death & time.It can be defined as a faculty of self-exploration which neither brooks opposition nor waits for support machinary. If recognition it craves does not come, talent may have a period of self- doubt but it will be a brief one,- like the sun going behind a bank of clouds- before re-emerging in full glory. This is what happened to RD....
The genius utilised the scale modifying techniques for enhancing the tune as a blacksmith uses his tools or a agrarian cultivates crops--- with ease and absolute perfection and sturdily...
It is not that RD did not get recognition in his lifetime. He got it, but not befitting genious. The anguish of rejection in last ten years of life ate into him bit by bit. Those who achieved success working along with him over twenty-two-year period( 1965-1987) deserted him one,by one leaving him all alone, unnoticed, unrecognized, rejected.Since RD was not after money or lobbying for himself, he of one who had 2000 tunes in his memory & forte when he faced untimely death, here cruel commercial world unfairly dealt with him and on the other ' premature but cruel icy hands of death laid upon RD, very-very unfortunate end of a good soul in RD.
@@justineray9001 Films bombed but RD music was'nt, comparing RD with likes of Bappi Lahiri & Anand Milind or Jatin Lalit, is unfair, they may have produced flukes but later succumbed to oblivion, livlihood question is for all even for RD but first is masterly creations which automatically brings prosperity, Nasir earned huge from RD creations than any other composers he worked with, film industry is sort of investment market which faces tanked situations also but recovers again with increased dividends, that's what happend to Vidhu Vinod Chopra, RD's last claasic 1942 A Love Story proved that he was ahead of times and his music was divine, no comparisons with petty short timers.
We would like to used RD sir scale effect in next our video of RD on our channel. Can some body help us explaining change of scale effect in these songs. RD fans are very keen to listen to this explanation apart from listening to songs. Apart from this we will welcome to explaination related to RD sir theme music.
As far as winning awards goes, RD never got a fair deal. Though he delivered umpteen hits in the three decades that he made music, his contemporaries walked away with more awards than he did. This makes one thing clear, you cannot judge talent in terms of awards. It is evident that judges for the awards instituted by 'Filmfare' were not unaware that justice was being denied to RD.They wanted to cut him down so that he was unable to join big legue in Mumbai. They wanted to clip his wings and ultimately they succeeded. A close scruitiny reveals that RD and his singers could have won more awards than they actually did.The singers of his compostions bagged the National Award five times alongwith eleven 'Filmfare' awards, but RD managed only three. An irony it was that the juries deemed it fit to honour the film songs but kept the CREATOR out of their purview.RD was loser in the film world's mad race for money and market share.
Filmfare nominations were purchased in truck loads by Shanker Jaikisan & later by LP to serve their own cause.....so talent was never in reckoning in FF......National Awards mostly went to South.....this is the history of film music.....
But ultimately RD remains in our heart for his splendid and evergreen compositions. We don't care about Filmfare awards nominated by some jealous guys.
Filmfare award cannot be a measuring stick of a genius. The panel of judges knew that they were doing injustice to a man who could create wonder by his magic wand! However, many of them were also prey of certain devils of Bollywood. And creativity of bengali stalwarts of Indian music namely, S D Burman, Salil Chowdhury, Hemant Kumar were always been ignored and set aside. Otherwise, Guide would have won award in place of Suraj. As I always say, these happenings are obvious due to 1,000 years of "Gulami" & "Chamchagiri". 😡
I am a huge RD fan but I want to ask a question. What scale change are you talking about here. Examples of scales are major, minor, melodic minor, pentatonic, blues scale, etc and then there are modes based on scale. Songs are usually based on a scale and it’s not uncommon that a song uses more than one scale in the same song. Alternatively a song could use any note that the musician likes even if it’s outside of the scale. What does it mean when you say “master of scale change effect. One can compose a song and then using the exact same intervals he can compose another song -that’s changing the key. Or he can just change the rhythm keep same notes and create another song. But I don’t understand what is this ‘scale change’ that people are talking about here. Thank you.
