Hello. First, I love your channel! It is extremely informative with lots of great ideas that are easy to follow. I have a couple questions. I think you mentioned before that you start with an hour of center times in the mornings. Can you give me an idea of your schedule, how long you allow for each activity, and what your school hours are? I am also very interested in your journals for 3-year-olds. Is that an independent assignment or something you do as a group?
Yes, we start with an hour of free-choice centers time. It's up to the children where they want to go - I don't monitor that they need to be in a specific area for a certain amount of time. You can read more about it here: 2 year olds - teaching2and3yearolds.com/toddler-center-time/ and preschool: teaching2and3yearolds.com/preschool-learning-centers/. Our threes class does journals in small groups. You can read about that here: teaching2and3yearolds.com/simple-preschool-journals/. My twos class meets T/Th from 9:30 - noon. The threes class (I do not teach this class) meets MWF from 9-12:30.
I love your channel and the way you teaching, do you have a Vedio related to work placement and activities, I m about to start my placement need support!
I'm so glad you mentioned that, as I forgot! I am actually saving the jumbo plastic caps to my almond milk for my toddlers. They'd also be great for loose parts play! But I also love saving smaller caps for our 3 year olds. Thank you for the reminder!
In addition to Amazon, we've also purchased at Discount School Supply and Lakeshore Learning. We also have received lots of used items as donations from friends and family. I put links in the video's description if I could find the product on Amazon or something similar, so make sure to check there.
