- This is Air Canada's longest flight by time, Vancouver to Bangkok. A wopping 16 hours in economy class. This is our review and travel day as we venture to our next destination, Thailand. Join us as we travel across the world over the course of 38 hours. This is the start of our adventures in Asia and we couldn't be more excited!

I flew from Bangkok back to Toronto in January, via the direct flight Bangkok Vancouver. The flight delayed by just a bit but took an hour longer flight time than the schedule and by the time we arrived in Vancouver, more than half of the passengers on the flight missed their connecting flight including me 😊 i ended up spending another 10 hours at Vancouver airport waiting for my re-booked flight to Toronto.
Anyway have fun in my home country, Thailand! Please keep yourself hydrated and in air con from time to time to cool down while your body adjusts from Winter in Canada to hot and humid climate of Thailand. Stay healthy and wish you a safe and awesome trip in Thailand ❤

I was on the Dreamliner going to Shanghai back in 2017...best plane I've been on with Air Canada!

A330 is by far ACs best long haul aircraft. It's their only aircraft with 18" width economy and superior 2-4-2 seating

Air Canada should have immediately provided you and your girlfriend with a hotel room with full meals given such a long delay

HI I have the same flight from Vancouver to Bangkok in a week. Are you guys able to tell us approximately what time intervals they serve the food/snacks. My flight from Vancouver starts at 11pm
Sweet! That was the flight we were supposed to be on! Honestly too far apart, we got a meal once we got on the plane about two hours in (breakfast) then after 6 hours! we got a small snack, then a few hours before landing (another 6 hours later) we got our last meal, dinner. But again our flight left at 6:30 am.

Hi john, I am sorry we don't remember if they were free or cost money. We both always travel with a pair that can plug in for long flights in case, so we did not get a pair.

How do you get the louge pass traveling with an economic seat? Any tip would be great

Would you guys recommend air Canada for a flight from Atlanta GA to Tokyo Japan in economy class? My main concern is really if there’s enough leg room for such a long flight
I guess it depends how tall you are, Keith’s 6.2 and I am 5.6 and we felt comfortable for the flight. :)

Contemplating doing YVR-SIN with AC but I'm too nervous to be on a plane for this long. Not that I have a fear of flying but more like I'm scared that I'd be bored
It definitely is a long flight but they do have a few meals (bring extra food :) ). And an unlimited amount of new and old movies so if you don't mind watching a bunch of movies you should be good :)

How do you get to eat at the lounge? Is there an extra fee?
We got it through our American Express credit card. We get a priority pass it’s called which lets us get into a bunch of lounges around the world. We have a link to the card in our description :)

My Parents and I are flying on Korean Air from San Francisco to Bangkok and then Vietnam air to Hanoi and flying home after a tour of Vietnam on Phillipoine airlimes. I have Priority Pass.

No they did not in Economy. We got food and a blanket and pillow :)

I was on the inaugural flight from Bangkok to Vancouver in Premium Economy. The only difference is the wider seat and the lunch was served nicely...then it was the same snack and the breakfast before landing lol. 16 hours that's about 2 1/2 hours longer than the flight from Bangkok. My journey is on my channel 😊. Your trip report seems so much more fun 👍

Air Canada lost my luggage about 40% of my flights.
Oh no Harris, I am so sorry to hear that. Honestly that’s one of the reasons we always fly carryon only, that way our bags are always with us :)
