Dang Jay, good job. I practiced far south river end sunday before tourney, had a great day. There was a fire whopper plopper bite early in am, I caught 6 off a magic tree flippin a paca craw, i found a sandbar/rockbar with beds that was inaccessible to bass boats, a bunch of stuff. Actually my thumbnail right there was a barren prespawner from that day. I knew it had rained a bit in Louisville, and I expected it to be a lil dirty water, but I never checked lake levels...and it blew out my end of lake. It was terrible. But I found a shad spawn, and thought Id be ok. I was wrong. I never saw one blow up on shad, I tried 40 different baits, lures, finesse techniques etc, tried offshore, nothing.
Great job adapting to conditions. I wanted to see how some of you managed to do well and the pattern. Awesome vid. I told myself Im a great dirty water fisher and braved the river.....big mistake. They werent there. I shoulda left the boat ramp and went up lake to clearer water when I saw the lake.

In practice I fished the blow out muddy lower parts of that lake pushed way back up a creek till I found clear water. All the fish were small. Moved out to main lake and fished around grass island ended up hooking 5 but only landing 2 would of been in top 3 had I got all of em

Another great video keep them coming. Thanks again for all the tips, I took your advice and took most of the tackle out of my PA and just take a single Plano with what my game plan for that trip calls for. So much lighter and it helps me focus better as there is my plan laid out when I open the box. Thanks again brother keep on getting it done 💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Yeah thats one huge problem i have. I take so much tackle. I take like 3 big containers of plastics every trip....like 35lbs of plastics. 1 container just swimbaits and flukes, 1 containers of creatures and craws, 1 container of all kinda worms from big worms to senkos, to dropshot worms. Then 4 tackle trays full of lures, squarebills, topwaters, jerkbaits, deep cranks/swimbaits. I take a full cal coast battle box, a smaller spinnerbait box with spinnerbaits and chatterbaits, a smaller box with probably 50 jigs of all types, then i have a random junk drawer on top of crate with scents and tools, etc. then i usually take 8 casting rods 2 spinning rods, or at least 6 casting rods and 1 spinning rod.
i take way too much. But i often dont get a practice day before tourneys cuz of work......and anything i found weekend before, most times that pattern is gone. And its like trying to figure them out all over again. If i get a legit practice day before....i could totally do that.

    Happy New Year Jay
I see you have moved your graph up to the front of your boat. How do you like it verses being on the side
What size is your ego net medium or large
Thanks for your reply in advance

I ended up catching 2 fish.caught my first fish in a flooded pond area. I then covered about 8 miles of water searching and ended up catching both my fish in the exact same spot. Probably the male and female. I did find some spots further up the lake in practice the day before but wasn’t sure if I would catch any big enough to actually fill my limit. I caught a 20” in practice where I caught my two fish so I figured if I stuck it out there the rest of my time I might find a big one. Nope lol

It was tough with how much the water came off, scattered the fish around for sure.
