Sorry for uploading so irregularly! Happy new year to you all, and thank you for your patience and all of your wonderful comments :)! I hope you enjoy the new video
Niels not only uses a bullet proof structure in his videos, most importantly he chooses themes that crack some of the hidden rules in Dutch. I'm starting to think that each Niels video is a masterclass on each subject he chooses to address.
I do not know if you will read this, but I am actually learning ducth by myself, and lets say that you are my teacher without knwing it hehehe... Your videos are really well explained, and useful... Thank you so much for your work... Your Venezuelan student from Belgium
Dag Niels, dank je wel 😊 je bent super goed 👍, Ik hou van boek. Ze houden van boek dan ((hij houdt van boek )). Kant je controleer mijn zinnen alstublieft.
Been leaning Dutch fairly successful for a few moths with Duolingo. But as the app does not explain grammar its been a fishing expedition lately. I am sooooo grateful for your videos. Finally I get it without guessing! Thank you.
i had been looking for dutch classes but they were so confuse, monotonous voice, ridiculous cartoons.. i was almost giving up.. when i finally found this channel now depends on my own endeavour Congratulations .Good job, folk.
Welkom terug Niels. (For example :I'm not a fan of kids. Or this is not my type) Hartlijk bedankt en nog beste wensen voor jou 👍
Hoi Mimi, dankjewel.
nice! you're back! Hope all has been well with you! Really good topic. So far, I've only heard graag used two ways "ik wil graag... I would like (beer, wine, food etc) which i've heard is a bit more polite instead of just saying "ik wil..." or graag gedaan, which i think is "you're welcome" but something more causal. Which is surprising to me, as I do live in the Netherlands now, i figure i'd hear it more (or maybe I don't pay attention enough)
Hallo Niels ! Happy New Year. Wish you all the best during 2019. Much more healthier, happier and always have great moments for what you are doing. We are waiting for your wonderful videos. It is really helpful.
Hi, Niels...I'm learning dutch and so far you are the one who makes it easier for me to understand, thank you very much...can you also talk about the use of niet and geen?
Happy new year to you too! I know, it's been a while. I would make one every week if I didn't have a job. But then I'd get kicked out of the apartment and I'd have to sell my camera, so that wouldn't work either :D
Learn Dutch with Niels! AWE...! 😃😃😃 What kinda job do you have?! 😃😃😃 And will ya be teaching wor next?! 😃😃😃 The fact that you totally awesome lovely Dutch people tend to say; “er” to mean “it” “hier” to mean “this” and “daar” to mean “that”? :) Ya know? :) In English you can only combine at leat two words on a daily basis; I.E “that is why” “that’s why” whilst you guys say; “daarom” And another example; “daarover” “about that” I assuming why you guys say “daar” to mean “that” and “hier” to say “this” because.... It has.... Similar reasons why Clint Eastwood from the Spaghetti Western cowboy films would say something like; “This here barn” or “That there barn”??? 🤔🤔🤔 I mean, why you guys say “jullie” you plural cuz it’s similar to why cowboys from the Wild West would say; “ya’ll”! XD
Learn Dutch with Niels! Yeah! ;) I’ve been saying “wor” a lot! XD 😂😂😂 Yes! Us North Eastern English are weird! 😂😂😂 “wor” (stressed way pronounced as “waw” means; “my” “mine” and “our” (and the unstressed way “wuh) means “us” “we” and “our” Tynesider slang for you! ;) 😃😃😃 I was a student at South Tyneside College for 4 years I picked up their way of talking! XD And didn’t I already telly you before Niels matey? If ya Geordie born and raised at Newcastle Upon Tyne and if they made you learn German at school, then after you have mastered German, BECAUSE ya a Geordie, damn right Dutch will be so damn easy for you to learn! ;) 😃😃😃 Ok, long story short! Dutch IS a way much easier version of German and some words you guys have ARE pretty damn similar to the Geordie accent/dialect! XD
Hallo Niels en bedankt voor deze videos! Very useful indeed. You make my life easier ;) Do you plan to do videos totally in Dutch? It would be very useful! Thank you again!
That's a great explanation and even better presentation. I'll surely include more of your videos in my Dutch learning journey. Is the intensity of both words equally or is "houden van" used as love way more expressing than "graag" liking something? For example do I love my friend or is that weird because I rather use like?
Sorry for uploading so irregularly! Happy new year to you all, and thank you for your patience and all of your wonderful comments :)! I hope you enjoy the new video

Best teacher !
Hoe meer ik bekijk je video's beter. Het begrijpt de Nederlandse dank je niels.
Native Dutch speaker here. I never realised the difference! I probably do it 100% correct. But this is new to me.
We rarely know the grammar of our own language in the same way we do of foreign languages. We just know instinctively what is right.
Weird but how does that work lol@@frankhooper7871
i just started this learning Dutch journey , after watched maybe 7 different Dutch teaching youtuber, I found yours is the best . Thanks
Thanks for the awesome video. You saved me before my exam.
Wow, isn't this guy good? 3-4 minutes & I've nailed it....

Great lesson :) How to make question using these words?
