I'm not a big Code Geas fan, but i think this is AMAZING!!! I never heard this song sing this way before!!! The darkness of this version fits really well with Lelouch's forced perspective of making himself a villain. I absolutely LOVE it!!!

Remember Lelouch was hoping his hostile takeover at Ashford would pre-empt him and force him to engage without the warheads. But Schneizel was ready. All he needed to do then was buy time while he gained altitude. So he did that, any when the Black Knights called him out on it, he pointed out he couldn't defend properly against an army advancing on all sides and used that as leverage to gain control of the Black Knights.
