Vibration Analysis of Electric Motors and Structural Modes - Data Example

Ground vibration testing is critical for aircraft certification because it determines the flightworthiness of a structure. This falls under FAA CFR § 25.629 Aeroelastic stability requirements and DoD MIL-HDBK-516C Airworthiness Certification Criteria. New electric motors can have vibrations that are in the same frequency range of the modes of the aircraft. This video will show a data example using BK Connect for a GVT performed on a drone, and compares it with data from an electric motor.
