@@freshfunda733 In the drawing client gave there are two shell plates. Dish head welding process is by SMAW so there must be back gauging.(upper and lower shell must be there) I was wondering if we can use TIG and use a single plate.
@mioVanz it's depends on thk and joint efficiency, it will provided in weld joint detail, if RT there you must do BG , if you are using SMAW welding, If you do Tig welding for root and hot pass you can do this also but as per your qualified WPS
