Superb quality of filming. Nice to see Beccles again after leaving Norfolk and UK about 12 years ago. Look forward to another'walkabout in Oulton Broad one day where I spent quiet a few years. Love the quiet moorings you choose.
Hi Susan, thanks for your kind words, that means a lot. It's also nice to hear that seeing our videos brings back some great memories for you. Do you think you will be back to visit one day? We also enjoy quiet and peaceful moorings - we think that's what The Broads is all about! You don't always need a pub when you have such stunning views to take in on an evening. Take care!
Good morning on this really cold cold morning in January. You have been walking around my home town of Beccles. If dining at The Waveney , stick to the fish and chips which is excellent .
Hello again Bernadette, hope you're keeping well and thanks for your comment as always. Do you enjoy living in Beccles? We think it's a lovely place. We will remember your recommendation for trying the fish and chips at The Waveney next time we visit. Take care!
Hi Balt, thanks for your comment and kind words as always, we hope you are doing well. With the amount of footage that was taken, this series is definitely going to have the longer-format videos. We felt very lucky to have such nice weather whilst we were visiting. Take care!
Hi Keithe, thanks for your comment, we are pleased that you enjoyed the mini tour of Beccles; every time we go, we always find somewhere different to explore. It's a lovely place. Take care
Hi guy's, I have a 20ft cabin cruiser at Geldeston the most southern part of the broads.. So if you want to film from the locks pub to and under the old Beccles bridge I'm more than happy to take you 😁 I've started my own page SG Adventures on youtube but I'm really only starting to learn video and editing. Cheers Stu
Hi Stu, thanks for your comment and we really appreciate your kind and generous offer to one day take us down to visit Geldeston; that is a part of The Broads that we would love to visit by boat. We may take you up on that offer one day, so thank you! We wish you the very best of luck with the start of your new channel - we've sub'ed. Take care!
Where did you get your takeaway from? I’m always interested in recommendations. Shame you couldn’t get under Beccles Old Bridge. Geldeston is one of my favourite places to visit. Not just one, but two brilliant pubs.
Hi Helen, thanks for your comment as always. We got our take-away from India Gate, which is a few streets behind The King's Head; we definitely recommend them and even more conveniently, they deliver to Beccles Yacht Station. It is a shame that the air draft does not allow us under Beccles Old Bridge - we would like to visit Geldeston in the future; maybe in the future we will hire a day boat from Hippersons and explore that part of the river, it certainly looks beautiful. Which two pubs do you recommend in Geldeston?
The old bridge was a swing bridge on the old Beccles to Gt Yarmouth line, the same line as your last video when you asked about the old bridge at Haddiscoe.
Hi Roland, thanks again for your comment, hope you're doing well. With reference to the River Chet, we only follow the by-laws that stop us cruising The Chet - however, it's interesting to note that bigger boats can actually get down there!

Thank, I’m happy to help, if you look at my last video at the end you can watch me going under that low bridge 😳

Hi Colville! Thanks for educating us on this, we did always wonder what that bridge was originally for. Take care
You keep saying you can not go down the river chet my mate goes down there boat is the same size as yours

The problem with The Chet is the width of boat, that is the restriction. It is rather tight in some places.
