Thank you for playing without amplification for those that may have reason(s) to play unplugged. It is important to hear all the facets of tone and you did a great job in doing so. Enjoyed your playing and demonstration. Perfect.
Excellent well rounded demo of the instrument hitting all the key points I was looking for. Great playing as well that highlights proper use of such an instrument. Thanks.
Interesting, I found the sound of this one more "jazzy" than the 805ce which is great too. I own the 403ce for a few months now and absolutely loving it. Thanks to your video to help making a choice ! Great playing man !
Hi I bought this very guitar after seeing this video last Dec (2017) . Absolutely beautiful and great finish and sound I also play it out of my Fender Deluxe reverb . Thanks to the folks at N Stuff Steve Jackson and Gavin Hornung .
Hey Peter, glad you enjoyed the demo, the 403 is all laminate wood construction, very durable and travels great in addition to a really good sound. With laminate wood you're getting much more of the pickup in the sound than carved wood but it is still a great sound. The AR503 has a carved top but a laminate back and sides. This gives it a little more acoustic resonance and more of a woody sound, your hearing more of the guitar and less of the pickup compared to the 403, but solid wood is more susceptible to change in weather and travel conditions. Feel free to contact us at N Stuff Music for great pricing on Eastman guitars or other questions, just ask to speak with Gavin.
Wonder if you will read this comment. I’m coming to the end of the William leaving method volume 1 with my teacher and jazz is the road I’d like to go down would you recommend this guitar for my progress and guitar journey
I think you mean William Leavitt, and I'm doing the same series of books! I'm nearly done the first part of Book 1. My plan is to reward myself with a solid top Eastman (possibly this model!) when I finish Book 3.
One of the few channels that know how to demo guitars by playing the correct styles for the guitar, not just playing blues on everything
We try to bring something a little different to our viewers than they might conventionally see. Thanks for the great comment!
I like how you mention how you personally like to setup the tone. Great job
For sure! No compromises here for tone.
Nice playing Gavin. Thanks!

@Gavin Horning Try telling that to Mark!
You're a fantastic musician and this 403 sounds so sweet.
Really liked playing with out the amp . sounds great . the Eastman is such a good value .

Just sounded great !
Currently saving for one of those archtops they sound so fucking beautiful!
great demo .... covered un-amped sound, various tone knob settings .... nice guitar! ... interesting pickguard style ... .guitar looks and sounds awesome
superb playing and gorgeous instrument
Are the model 403 and 405 the same, just humbucker vs P90?
Thank you for playing the instrument acoustically. For some reason that's rare in RUclips guitar reviews.
How does this guitar compare with the AR503?

If I buy one, I’ll be able to play just like you?
Very nice playing. I have a 403 too and was wondering what mics were used in that recording? Many thanks.
Came to look at the guitar but really enjoyed the playing, very nice.
Emily? Beatifully played! Where i can find this arrangement?
What song was that at the beginning? So beautiful
Name of tune?.sounds familiar!
Suena muy bien. Son cuerdas flat o round?
How is the feedback on this guitar when played a high volumes with a band?
Gavin Horning this sounded pretty good which strings and gauge did you use?
Cries in low fi hip hop
Is this 3 1/2 inches deeper or closer to 2 1/2 inches deep?

What is the microphone and audio recorder? Great tone, technique!
Equipment used at 6:14 of the video..
Nicely done. :)
My pleasure.
What is the difference between the 403ce classic finish and the 503ce classic finish???
403 has a laminated top, 503 is solid
Man that bridge looks crooked. Nice playing sweet sound.
Timothy Barr D.C. It’s suppose to be like that for intonation.
Where’s Mark?
Great player! An AR403 never sounded so good!
Name of the song on the acoustic part?
Gavin Horning what was the song at the beginning?
I heard “the lick” at 6:07 :)
Fucking love Emily
When describing the neck you should state the nut size!
1.75..
Is laminate inferior to a real top wood???
Usually but not always.
One benefit is that it's less likely to crack
Thomas Washington not so much that it’s inferior... it’s much less prone to feedback at higher volume because the top is less lively.
what type of amp do you use???
Equipment used at 6:14 of the video..
The low frequecies are feeding back and sound muddy as hell. The guy needs to move away from themp or turn the bass down a bit!
When it comes to N Stuff, Mark knows his stuff. Better sound, technique delievered. ruclips.net/video/37RWYtPQTTE/видео.html
The sound is not good with the tone rolled down so far. Horrible
