I have both of these . You did an amazing job on them . The paint is great. Looks better than new!!!!!! I have the camper in the box new in a number 10 condition . Your restoration is AWESOME 😎
nice idea to put them both together, and nice rework, too. love the colour, it looks period-correct. :) there could have been a cream roof for the caravan as well, to create even more of a partner look. :)
Very nicely done Especially the Caddy, I love the 2 tone paint scheme…. I wished you’d carried the 2 tone look over to the trailer Speaking of which…. It’s a shame it didn’t have an interior or leveling jacks like the real thing… Yeah I know it’s just a model, but it doesn’t look right resting on it’s front when it’s unhooked…. But you did good work on both castings.
Good workers always Jason I think I would have done something with the Caravan so I know Lesney Product did not come with the interior or Windows but I would have added them myself God bless keep up the good work
Matchbox was intending to fit a window. Decided not to in the end. You can see the unformed holding rivets inside the bodyshell. Very few prototype window caravans have emerged from the factory. They command huge prices when offered for sale.
I don’t know the science behind it, but the polish creates a veneer over the entire plastic piece that allows it to sparkle, like you would a wooden floor, refreshing it like new but also helping to fill in some of those gouges. No idea why it works but it works!
@@DieCastRestos Oh, so it fills all the tiny scratches with itself. It was confusing to me, as everybody else seems to be using high grit sandpaper and polishing compounds Thanks for reply!
@@locomotivebreath9364 it's also a bit like the resine floor formulas for industrial floors, which fill gaps and nooks, and create a smooth surface while drying. that helps with making it look as new again. most restorers would sand and polish the window piece anyway, and put floor polish on it which also serves as a protective layer.
Very nice I loved this build
nice restorations, details and paint jobs 👍👍
They both look fantastic Jason. Love the colour.

How does this wood floor polish works?
You just dump scratched windows in it, stir up a bit and it magically becomes cool again?
I dont get it
