    Agatha was first introduced in the pages of the Fantastic Four, where she was the babysitter/nanny to Franklin (the son of Reed and Sue). When he grew up, she quit that job and became the mentor of the scarlet witch (this of course is in the comics). Then the Darkhold took over and she became the power hungry generic villan you see before you.

  • @watdaforkman4436
    @watdaforkman4436 2 года назад +13

    Some things to know from this episode:
    1. White Vision might look like Vision but in the comics, he doesn't have any feelings because he's not bonded with the mind stone. This causes some conflict within the comics with another male superhero who is also another one of Wanda's love interest who will be introduced to the MCU in the next year or so through his very first Disney+ show.
    2. Wanda's kids are real. Monica explains in the series that the kids were real, their life forces were just tied to the hex, which was something Agatha explains in the finale. Wanda actually rewrote reality to the point where she got pregnant and gave birth to twins. They were real just... unfortunate to have been born in the hex.
    3. This was the beginning of many new heroes and villains. The Scarlet Witch is someone who switches back and forth between good and evil, Agatha Harkness is a villain who also babysits probably the most powerful mutant in the comics, Franklin Richard and the other one is Photon (Monica Rambeau) who is a hero who was also the first Captain Marvel IN the comics but it looks like she'll be going as Photon in her MCU entry. Monica will be in the new 'The Marvels' coming soon and Agatha has her own show coming out soon too, which is rumored to also star Elizabeth Olsen.
    4. The twins are actually superheroes as well in the comics. Billy, with the powers of his mom, and Tommy, with the powers of his uncle, are two members of the Young Avengers which Marvel is clearly setting up with America Chavez in Doctor Strange 2, Kamala Khan in Ms. Marvel, Ant-Girl in the future Ant-Man 3, Kate Bishop in Hawkeye and others. It's also worth noting that the twins, along with America Chavez and Kate Bishop, are STRONG characters of the LGBTQ community with Billy being gay and Tommy being bisexual.
    5. White Vision will definitely be back but there are strong rumors around suggesting that he will not have a future with Wanda Maximoff, especially with the future arrival of Wonder Man, one of Wanda's other lovers from the comics. I personally think Wanda will still be interested in Vision though. White Vision is also rumored for an upcoming project 'Armor Wars', starring Don Cheadle's War Machine which will be about Tony Stark and his weapons. White Vision will most likely make his return there or perhaps (and this is just a theory) will be back in Ironheart next to Riri, but that's a far fetch.
    6. Wanda is our universe's nexus being. There is only one nexus being in every universe. Nexus beings are individuals with the ability to affect the universe around them and in the process, the future as well. They are key figures in the continued progression of the time stream. With their varied abilities and techniques, Nexus Beings can cause entire shifts in the universe, and could even use their powers to cause massive shifts in the multiverse itself.
    I personally think it's very interesting that our universe's nexus being has been in front of our eyes the entire time and has also been trained by the likes of Hawkeye, Black Widow and Captain America.
    7. Wanda and Agatha make the best duo and I can not WAIT to see them together again. But Wanda and Monica is underrated as frick. I can't wait to see them again too.
    8. This is the GREATEST thing I learnt from this episode and the series as an entire product. Elizabeth and the whole cast are PHENOMENAL but especially Elizabeth Olsen. I always knew she had potential (acting-wise) during the Avengers' movies and I'm so glad she could showcase it here. She really is the Scarlet Witch when it comes to the industry and she is the most powerful actor I've seen in a while in the MCU, along with Oscar Isaac and Tom Hiddleston.
    The cast was truly amazing and perfect for this series and Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch makes THE perfect main character.

      Disagree completely on your take on white Vision. First of all in the comics he doesn’t even have the mindstone to begin with. Secondly wonderman series is suppose to be a comedy series you really think Wanda would be part of that given her state in multiverse of madness? The only reason Wanda and wonderman had a connection in the comics was because Vision was originally made using his brain waves in the comics, which isn’t the case in the MCU as Vision was born very differently. There is no reason for him to be involved in any of their stories. In the comics everyone is in a relationship with anyone at some point I don’t find that a valid reason to assume it will happen in the MCU. In Wanda’s case for example, she also had a relationship with Hawkeye but the MCU turned that more into a father daughter dynamic. Lastly Wandavision finale implied to me at least that they will reunite eventually, and Wanda being part of the mind stone is probably what Vision needs to be whole again

    • @sirmoonslosthismind
      @sirmoonslosthismind 2 года назад +1

      monica was absolutey NOT the first captain marvel. she was however a character who was treated terribly in the comics, who multiple times had a superhero name thoughtlessly bestowed on her only to later have it taken from her to give it to some guy instead. when she becomes captain marvel in the mcu, which i believe she will, it will be earned and she'll get to hold onto it, and it will be dramatically improved on what happened in the comics.

    • @watdaforkman4436
      @watdaforkman4436 2 года назад

      @@titaniumcommandrig Again, these are just theories about White Vision. I believe he'll be reunited with Wanda.
      But you are wrong with some comic accurate info. Wonder Man and Wanda actually had a bigger connection than just being Vision's power up. If anything, the only reason Vision liked Wanda was because of Wonder Man's crush on her in the first place which he didn't act upon. That transferred over to Vision so technically, Wonder Man plays a big role in their relationship in the comics.
      Secondly, Wandavision was a literal comedy, starring Wanda Maximoff. There's no border to what Wanda can show up in lmao. Elizabeth is being in talks for that show as well as Agatha's series so you really never know.

      @@watdaforkman4436 exactly, but Vision not being made using wondermans brain waves means he has no correlation to Wanda at all, thus his entire connection is nonexistent in the MCU. Smart decision to watch this before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. That movie is like a sequel to this series, and you'd be completely confused about what's happening with Wanda if you hadn't seen this show.
    You should definitely check out Captain Marvel for more context on stuff that happens in this series too. Don't want to spoil too much, but I'll just say it has some big tie-ins for WandaVision, as well as for events in the near future of the MCU (Ms. Marvel, Secret Invasion, The Marvels).

    After "WandaVision" aired Disney+ announced there would be a spin-off series called "Agatha: House of Harkness". Kathryn Hahn will reprise her role as Agatha Harkness/Agnes
    On June 6, 2022, it was reported that the series was scheduled to start production in January 2023 and wrap in May 2023.
    TRIVIA: In the comics, Agatha Harkness is a witch who lived through the fall of Atlantis and the Salem witch trials. She was a mentor to the Scarlet Witch and the babysitter of Franklin Richards.
    In the Ultimate Universe, she was a foe of the Ultimate Fantastic Four, able to split from one individual to seven.
    Agnes' fake marriage anniversary with her husband Ralph (June 2nd), references June 2nd 1692, the day the Salem witch trials began.

    It's been wonderful following your journey with this series. Fanatstic reactions and theories. I loved it. This show is very rewatchable, you pick up on new details the second time. My theories on what Agatha really did - 1. She sensed Wanda's power, came to town and took over Ralph's house and enslaved him. 2. She choked mr Hart to test Wanda. 3. She put the lobster on the door. 4. She sent in the stork which Wanda couldn't control. 5. She created Sparky from another animal and then killed him off, just to see if Wanda could revive him.
    Best show of 2021 imo, I haven't seen anything this good since Buffy The Vampire Slayer (which is the best show ever!).

    This is my favorite Disney+ series so far, mostly because I loved this characters already and was heartbroken by what happened to them in Infinity War and Endgame. If I was heartbroken before...this show crushed me 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. It was so good though.
    Agatha is an important character and she will have a very interesting series, I believe. She has ties to other superheroes that will show up soon in the MCU. I think it will be a good one, the House of Harkness.
    If I were you, before watching MOM, I would rewatch the first Doctor Strange and What If...? as well. It will make you appreciate more the movie and how the subtleties behind Strange's motivations, decisions and actions are important for his character's growth. Not to mention everything that's in it was so very cool and have a direct link to the MOM. That's also very cool. If you guys decide to react to it, it will be awesome!

She's very different in the comics mentoring yhe Scarlet Witch many times, The Darkhold was what was making her be the "generic power hungry villain", she probably had a desire to be more powerful to get the respect of her coven and mother. And the darkhold took that and amplified it and gave her a sort of one track mind. (BTW just found you guys, you've got a new subscriber)

    That was sad but losing Vision like that but the good news the real Vision is still around (White Vision), and I believe that Marvel is planning on bringing them both together in the long run, but it will be a long journey though movies and other Disney Plus shows. What we know now is that this story with Wanda continue in Doctor Strange M.O.M. and on Disney Plus Agatha and Wonder Man. Now this is my theory in how this journey could go, Wanda could go back to West View to seek help from Agatha and Agatha tell Wanda that even though she vanishes away the boys their soul is still here on earth somewhere and she could cast a spell to find them. They both go on the journey to seek them out, but they are unaware that Chthon the creator of the Darkhold who send Nightmare to destroy Wanda for what she did in Doctor Strange. I think Vision will go to seek his creator Stark and will find out that he's passed away and Pepper will allow Vision to stay around and help to develop stuff a Stark Industry but there he will also try to make his own family and try to live in the suburb like he did in the comics by Tom King.

      She killed her entire family and learned from dark magic levels above her stations and kills for power. She probably killed dozens of heroes for their powers before meeting Wanda.You’re weirddd

      Wanda is more of a anti hero because she isn’t being bad to get more power, she’s doing so she can have happiness which is different from villians who want power and revenge
