  • Even though there are a few Pop Up Box card tutorials out there I've had requests on how I made mine. Since I had to make another one, it was an opportunity for me to film it while making it. Below are the measurements to make both an A7 size and A2 size as well as a 5 1/2" square size Pop Up Box Card.
    Here is the link to my blog post of the original card.
    glimmercraft.bl...
    A7 (as in video)
    Cut your cardstock base to 10 1/2" x 7
    Score with 10 1/2" across the top @ 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" & 10"
    Rotate - the part on the left will be the bottom part of the box - Score @ 3 3/4"
    cut 2 or 3 strips - 3 1/2" x 3/4" & score @ 1/2" on either side
    A2 size (4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
    Cut your cardstock to 9" x 5 1/2"
    Score with 9" across the top @ 2 1/8", 4 1/4", 6 3/8" & 8 1/2"
    Rotate - the part on the left will be the bottom part of the box - Score @ 2 3/4"
    cut 2 to 4 strips - 3 1/4"" x 3/4" & score @ 1/2" on either side
    5 1/2" Square
    cut your cardstock to 11 1/2" x 5 1/2"
    Score @ 2 1/4", 5 1/2", 7 3/4", & 11"
    Rotate - the part on the left will be the bottom part of the box - Score @ 2 3/4"
    cut 2 or 3 strips - 3 1/2" x 3/4" & score @ 1/2" on either side

    What a wonderful tutorial. I am grateful that you took the time to explain all of the details. Look forward to more from you. Love that you shared your mistakes. Which I believe will help others to check twice and tape once, LOL

    Just watching this for the first time May 2016 and I think this is one of the best ones I have seen! Love the way you give sizing for 3 different cards to make and a much easier way to put together. Off to my studio to make 2!!

    For the back bit, I have started to add a folded blank piece for sentiment that opens up like an additional card.

    What is the glue tape`s brand you are using that is so easily tearable with the finger tips

      @paperarchitecturewithsabri7296 9 лет назад

      Hi Nena, My favorite double sided adhesive tape is Scor-Tape (by Scor Pal). I believe most Scrapbooking stores carry it. It comes in the follwing widths: 1/8", 1/4", 1/2", 1", 1 1/2", 2", and 6" x 6" & 8 1/2" x 11" sheets.

    Love the box. What weight paper do you use for the box? Is plain card stock 65#?

    • @paperarchitecturewithsabri7296
      @paperarchitecturewithsabri7296 8 лет назад

      Hi Sandra, The cardstock weight of #65 should work fine. When you add the designer paper on the outside, that adds more strength to it. I believe I used Bassil #100 for this particular card. Happy creating!

    • @paperarchitecturewithsabri7296
      @paperarchitecturewithsabri7296 8 лет назад

      +Sedira Sanders, What embellishments? The flowers? They were cut out of the Graphic 45 Botanical Tea designer paper from a few years ago. Any paper cut outs or stamps, etc can be used. TY
