  • Welcome to Paul and Tim Do a Thing!
Paul from Ashen Phoenix and Tim from Capes And Scowls have been doing comic book reviews for 5 years. They can't be more different though. So they thought, let's let everyone in on the conversations about how different they are with music. And welcome to this channel!

As someone that has struggled I understand this song on a deep level it kinda explains a mix of the deep inner sadness with the melancholic mask we show the world

I might be looking into it too much but this song has always had a deeper meaning to me. Whenever someone commits suicide you always hear about how happy they seemed to be and that you had no idea that they were depressed. I think that’s why outwardly this song is so happy but when you look into it it’s actually a very sad song.
Would love to see some more Hollywood undead reactions. Not sure which ones you’ve done already but lump your head is another good one off this album.

You're spot on actually, not looking too deep at all. They wanted an upbeat, almost TV ad instrumental, something real happy to go with absolutely haunting lyrics because oftentimes that's how depression works, you may seem very happy and even positive to outsiders when you're actually fighting for your life inside.
