@@robertrego5320 Aokigahara Forest is the suicide forest in Japan notorious for people going in and not coming back out, still bodies hanging from decades ago. And Overtoun Bridge is the bridge in Scotland renounce for dogs leaping to their deaths for an unknown and unproven reason, least last time I checked it was unproven.
I knew about the forest in Japan, but didn't know its name. I wouldn't have noticed if it wasnt for this comment. I've never heard of Overtoun Bridge.
This is one of those things I love about his lyrics. So many references and you always learn something new. I do at least.
@@clydefrog8711 I’m pretty educated and knowledgeable, common sense lacks severely but I know a lot of shit, and I’m still finding references and and meaning in his first few albums to this day. That and I’ve gained so much perspective from his own relayed in his music. He never ceases to shock me with his depth and perspective matched by his intellect and intelligence and it all comes together in the end to form the most personal and thought provoking music I’ve come across.
Listened to the whole jam on the way to work and on the way home. Glad this one was last it's my favorite. Hits me in the rib cage hard.

"Blue Tree Meadow" is a literal translation of "Aokigahara" (which was indicated at the end of the song). Aokigahara is where Japanese people take their lives.

If you know about Jackson pollock his art style was called automatic art. Simply put 50% implicit and 50% is “involuntary” it is a symbol for life
To paint a wall with the blood of a suicide is also a part of life and creating your own pollock in the guise of death is genius
