@@Orly_Shani no problem, thank you for all the DIY's. This video reminded me of RUclips when I first started to watch RUclips, and I'm not mad about it! Lol, keep on DIYin'!
I just watched a slew (slew?). A WHOLE LOT of these including the home Reno...ORLY genius! GENIUS!! Way back when that guy invested in you he really backed a winner and I’m so glad you’re living your dream and sharing all this CLEVER stuff in your extremely Orly way! You’re one of a kind! I love you on Home & Family but on here you truly shine! It’s 130 am or I’d be running to the thrift store and Michaels to pick up some flannels , denim and tulle..I’ve GOT to make the embroidered denim and these doggone shirts.. obsessed. I can’t wait to see more but I better pace myself or my kids will think I’m nuts. Thank you Orly!! Oh. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE your house!!!!
I made a rainbow one out of a black and white mans flannel from old navy that I paid 10 bucks on a product liquidation store called NPS. I used tie dye in spray bottles in 8 colors. Was super easy, after I sun dried it I tumble dry for 15 minutes, iron to activate the color and throw on the wash with soap and salt and fabric softener mixed with vinegar on the rinse. Made a load of darks nothing came out with stains. It looks great. Either than I have touched light parts with dirty gloves and got few ugly spots on the yellow and orange. Tomorrow I’ll iron it with starch spray for a luxe finish! I’m planning to make a short sleeve for the summer. I can’t decide each one, I have a collection of plaid summer shirts. Thank you for sharing!
Oh yes, this is on my list. I plan to add a big square of sequin fabric to the back, too. (I bought a black sequin skirt from a resale shop and will use it on my shirt.) Thanks so much!
When you go straight from bleach 2 soda ash without neutralizing the bleach it seriously inpact integrity of the shirt what I've learned from doing a whole bunch of work bleaching out shirts is if you go into a vinegar bath right after the clothing keeps its Integrity better
Powder dyes are expensive here . I had to source them online . Cool ideas. I’m old school use rubber bands and soak in a tub , moving hot water otherwise blotches occur. Mixing colours to get original shades is fun too Cheers
Obsessed, I have watched 5 times!!! My first round is marinating now, will be done at 5pm today. Next round today or tomorrow. Keep the awesome DIYs coming. Love you, and your creative brain!
Me too. I hadn't used tie-dye since the 1970s until Orly. Now I have a small collection based on this video. I have never gotten as many compliments until Orly and also DIYBlueprint. Amazing!!
Oh my Gosh ! I have one of those dies ! I've had it for 15 years and it's purple , I didn't know how to use it ! But this is a great DIY but very messy. But if you have all the things you need , it will be so much fun !
OH.MY. I really love the effect of the very last one, ‘cause you see the most flannel. They all turned out so well, though. The pink one is cute! I just love your work!
Oh my God, Orly !!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. The shirts look incredible and you look beautiful. And thanks for the final tip to avoid bleaching the shirts. I cannot wait to do my own rainbow shirt.
Rescued shirts transformed into dazzling garments... and, if there's limited closet space, the successful experimental ones could be shared with others. Absolutely brilliant in every sense of the word. This video is going into my "Future Projects" playlist! ❤️
Did not realize that could be a look but I am here for it. Another video to put in my save folder. I am just shaking my head for all the flannel shirts that I passed on at the thrift store $1 rack because I did not like the colors or look of it. How should these be final washed to make sure that there no dye transfer happening on furniture, other clothing item(etc.)? Has anyone ever told you that you have a similar look like of Sandra Bullock? Thanks for sharing and blessing to you in the days to come.
I really like these 😍😀💕 They came turned out beautifully. Awesome job😀 I'm so glad I found your channel. Thanks for sharing, I'm looking forward to seeing what you create next😃 Have a great day 😀😀
Gorgeous! Just a FYI - vinegar neutralizes bleach so you’re going to need to soak your clothes in it once you’ve reached your desired bleached look. Rinse out the bleach as much as possible then immerse in vinegar immediately. Also you don’t need as much bleach as you think you might to have the same effect of fading the colours. I use a 1:1 ratio of water & bleach. Not as harsh on your fabric.
Hey! I'm a new subscriber. I don't know your name, but I just wanted to say thank you for doing what you do. Your videos are so inspiring. I love designing and making my own clothes. Seeing you DIY these masterpieces to perfection made me believe that I can do it too. Thank you once again. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work. Greetings from Europe!
This is one of my absolute favorite tye dye videos. I have a question tho - once you dye the shirts and let them air dry, do you rinse them out at all? Or do you just throw them all in the washer together and wash them? Thanks
I have a coral color cotton eyelet blouse! The color completely washes me out! I want to dye a deep red! Do you recommend these powder dyes to completely change the color of an item or just for tie dyeing ? Thank you! I think you are AMAZINGLY Talented!!!! And creative!!!!
I'm enjoying your channel. You have so many great ideas and have taught me so many great DIYs. One thought...Would you consider wearing eyewear when working with bleach? I would like to share how I burned my eye with bleach. A few months ago I was dipping denim in diluted bleach and splashed one little drop in my eye. I flushed my eye with tap water for 5 minutes. It was very painful and my eye was pink for the balance of the day. Thankfully, the next day my eye was normal again. A painful lesson. Thanks again for sharing your great DIYs with us. Liz
Wow! Every shirt came out so amazingly! I can't even tell which one is my favorite! I wish I would have the space for doing this, it looks really pretty! But, I would even try to bleach silk... I wonder also if colors are working for silk... the chemical structure of silk is completely different compared to cotton, viscose & linen...
Just watched this 3 times,, you are so crazy funny. Also ran out like a crazy got the shirts and dyes, can't wait to do this. Love your hacks keep em coming.

Oh my! So adorable . Those would make cute purses also. Half denim and half flannel. Maybe I'll do that. Bur what I really want to do is one of my husband's flannel shirts. I have some after he went to be with the Lord. I've made pillows from some of his previous shirts.i plan on making a quilt from most of his polos for e his daughter for Christmas. Cant wait for that one. Il show it when I do it. Going to finish the hope chest he worked on with the memory quilt inside. Be closer to Christmas time though.i love how you do your videos just so nice and professional. Keep up the good work.
Just a tip after bleaching anything soak garment in white vingar and water mix, it stops dry rot in bleached fabrics.
ooh thanks!

Vinegar not only doesn’t neutralize bleach; it can also create a dangerous chemical reaction:

Hello 👋
The pink and the cropped shirts are my fav . Not mad about the other colours esp the rainbow one.
This video gave me the idea of saving a flannel that the color has faded away in sections, I'm going to give a try!!!

haha a little annoying but I didn't have a funnel!
