    Hi Noah, props to you for sharing yr cubing passion on the net with this very detailed presentation. I find the side-by-side comparative demonstration between the two very helpful. But FWIW, this mirror cube should not be attempted by first-timers who aren't familiar with the standard 3 by 3; for even veteran big cube enthusiasts like myself, it did take me some time to figure out the very odd shape configuration maneuvering. I bet the list of algorithms you posted here would put most maiden cubers to sleep:-) ... but hey, no pain no gain! ... as some would liken it to attaining virginal orgasm when finish solving it for the first time.

    I bought my son a 3x3 mirror cube and 2 regular 3x3 rubiks cube, small and medium size. I've been messing around with the mirror cube, learning the algorithms and patterns, now I'm at F2L level after 4days, I'm slow because of time management with family and work, plus I'm not good at memorizations. Watched this video and The last few steps towards the end is KILLER. I've never solved any cube ever, until today. My goal is to complete the 3x3 mirror cube without looking up the solutions.
    Update: August/20/2022 Finally completed a mirror cube in 19mins 54sec on my own, less than 1 week to learn. This video really helped.

    Dude, this tutorial is amazing! I just learned to solve the regular 3x3 about 3 weeks ago (beginner method), and I’ve been practicing every day. I got the Gan mirror cube a few days ago and it was super fun to play with, but I’d resigned myself to the fact that I’d probably never solve it - at least not until I’d gotten much better on the 3x3. I was able to use this tutorial to solve it In less than an hour today. I was so psyched!! It definitely helped having at least some experience with the 3x3 and I’m glad I took the time to learn cube notation a couple of weeks ago as that’s crucial for being able to follow the algorithms. I understand all of the core concepts of the mirror cube now and just need to spend some time memorizing the F2L algorithms. Again, your tutorial is awesome - thanks so much for this!!

      U is Up and 2 is twice so, Up x2.

      +phoenix qian W, means you move the middle layer with it so, Dw = moving the bottom two layers to the right

    • @pezpeculiar9557
      @pezpeculiar9557 9 лет назад

      Dw = d
      U2 = U U
      d means two of the bottom layers are turned with it.

      d2 means the double layers are turned twice.
